Chris sighed, happy to sit for a moment. This... was nice. Very nice. He had no idea horses could be.... fun. Anything but benevolent terrors. So this was where the kelpie had been coming from? Jealousy bubbled up in his stomach- maybe things would have been different if Christof had been born a creature of freedom like that- but he had been created as an Igor, and had obligations to fulfill in exchange for Life. He would be nothing but Parts in a grave if it hadn't been for his Creator.
The sun was threatening to come up, the sky growing more purple as dawn approached. They really did need to get back...
Gingerly, he tugged at the scarf, trying to guide him back towards the dorms, his mind aflutter with strange thoughts.

Home it was. Well, back to the dorms. With the sun rising in the gloom-gray sky, he knew he would be napping in class. Well, he'd just bring a big book and hide behind it for a while. If it had come down to a few hours of rest and the heart-racing ride he just had, he wouldn't have traded it for a few moments of shut eye. How boring would that have been?!
Not needing much steering in this regard, Calder trotted easily at a gentle pace back to the undead dorms. A few lights were on in various dorm windows of early risers, well rested, getting ready for another day at school.

Once outside the dorms, the hunchback gave another experimental tug to his suctioned seating, trying his best to dismount. He was relieved when a leg swung easily over, and he caught himself with his shovel as he managed to get to his feet. Panting himself, he glanced up at the horse's face, smiling still as he reached to gently pat it's head. He knew, of course, this wasn't some random meeting- and he felt glad for it. Knowing Calder probably wouldn't understand, still he made that sign-language motion he had recently learned, moving his hand across his chest in a motion of apology. Following that, he gave the horse a bow, as he would have to Barth or Riley- apology and thanks all in one.

Watching the motion, he was more confused but supposed that it meant things had been fun but it was time to go. The little bow was easy to understand, and Calder bobbed his head in his own fashion of a bow and a nod, and then stepped close to set his head over the boil's shoulder and curl his head about the back of the boil's head for a hug, then stepped back and whinnied.
Hopping in place, the white horse turned about, practically prancing, and made his way to the woods. It would be a quick to trek to the river for a quick, brisk bath in the river and back to his room to change and grab his school things.
Trotting off, he turned one more time, and wondered if there was a way he could propose another run sometime in the future. Maybe he would just linger around some very big holes and see if he could find the Igor laying about again.
With that in mind, Calder ran off, a blur of ghostly white that soon vanished in the distance into the treeline.
