He blinked at her, moving to the side and retracting his shadows as close as they could. Unique? He jerked his head to the side, letting out a "pfft" sound. He noticed her blush, cocking his head to the side and blinking. "Why are you blushing, girlie?" He asked, frowning at her. She was acting strange, stranger than before. She was weird for accepting him, yet he wasn't complaining.
"You can look, I guess."

Sayre's head jerked back a bit. "Me? Blush? What you talkin bout Jack." She relaxed a bit. "Well then. If I'm aloud to look then why are you still hiding?" She smirked a bit and cocked her head. She jabbed him lighty on the shoulder. "No need to hide from me anymore." She smiled at him. Hopefully that little diversion will make him forget about the blush. Hehe...

He scowled, releasing his shadow so that it lazily wrapped around the base of the tree's, curling at the edge of bushes and shrouding a good feet into total darkness. He brushed past her, his shadow following as he padded off, head turning back. "Why did you help me if you were so angry, girlie?" He questioned, this time the nickname wasn't cruel or hissed, just a causality. She was Sayre the girlie to him.

"Well it's simple. I helped you because you helped me." Sayre watched him and his shawdow as she spoke. She would never forget the night where Jack saved her life. "And I'm not one to stay angry for long. Sure I may be a Daeva and they are noctorious for being angry, hateful creatures..." Her tail flicked, slightly annoyed of the stereotypical discription of Daevas personality. "But I'm not like the others." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "I don't like to be judged for being what I am..." She looked dead into his strange eyes. "...and I know you don't like it either." She sat down and mellow out just a bit. There was alot of things she could have said to Jack when they first met. She wasn't going to lie to herself, she did thing he was strange... a bit scary at first. But she shook those thoughts from her head immediatey. She was sure Jack had thought something of herself when he first saw her too. Sayre shook her head and chuckled to herself.

He wanted to smack her silly. She was strange, that was for sure. The male stared at her, that is until she looked at him, eyes flicking away. She had looked straight at him. Tch. He brushed past her, his shadow loosely clinging to himself in a relaxed fashion. "It doesn't bother me, I'm used to it." He responded with, a damn lie.
'You're disgusting"
His eyes narrowed, tail twitching slightly. Of course he was disgusting to her. He had tried to hard to make the one he loved happy, and she had tried hard to push him away when he let his guard down.
Of course, women were all fake.

"You keep telling that to yourself." Sayre sighed and thought to herself. If he didn't care he wouldn't be in the shadows all the time. He'd be more relaxed. She couldn't help to stare at the fox as she thought about him. I have this gut feeling that he's hurting iside, but to me... he doesn't seem like the type to talk things out. Sayre smirked to herself. Look at me, annalyzing this guy like he's the rare treasure amungst a horde of traps. Then Sayre felt her heart sink. Maybe... She zoned out in though, blankly looking at Jack.

Jack looked at Sayre when she spoke, his shadows very close to his body at this point. She was being silent, and staring at him. Jack's lip twitched, approaching her so that he was almost nose to nose to her. He was tired of her staring, it was unsettling. Why? Why was it unsettling. He did not know what to do with himself, and she was making him feeling unsettled.
"What?" He asked, blinking at her, still close. "Why do you keep staring at me?"

Sayre's heart stopped and fell into her gut. "I wasn't staring... I was zoning out. Thinking to hard." She lied. She didn't wan't to freak Jack out with what she was really thinking about. She turned around and puffed up, then sighed. "Sorry if it bugged ya." Her tail flicked abit, she knew she liked him, but she had a feeling he didn't like her like she wanted.

"Well," He mused, looking to the side. She seemed to be acting weird. Perhaps hunting would calm her nerves. "I am hungry." He bluntly mused, nodding. "Care to join?" His narrow eyes glanced at her, a look that wasn't harsh for once. He didn't wait for her answer, padding off. If she wanted to come, she'd join him. He had invited her, after all.
He turned to see if she was following, looking back at the ground. A female, a female that didn't seem to reject him. Though, he didn't trust it. Not after his past experiences, not after being tricked and lied to. But why did he find himself wanting to trust him?

Sayre nodded and grinned. She took to the skies and followed Jack, then swooped down next to him. "So what are you in the mood for?" She silently flapped her wings, something she learned back in her thieving days. She didn't know the jungle well, but she knew the creatures in it, and she could easily spot them in the air.

Jack looked up at her, not really worried that she was being silent. He looked to the side, thinking for a brief second before nodding. "Rabbit." He decided. He wanted something small because he wasn't all that hungry, he just wanted food. That was all. Also, it was an excuse to change the subject, and fast.
He moved closer to the tree's, shadows hiding himself pretty well, except his damn bright eyes. He scowled as he headed into the trees, wondering if Sayre would help him.

With a quick scan of the ground below Sayre spotted rabbit holes. "There. Rabbit holes." She pointed in the direction. "There are two. I can send fire down one and you can catch them when they flee." She eyed Jack. "Unless you have a better idea." She landed next to him with a soft thud. Now that she had her target Sayre was in stealth mode. Everything was soft. Her voice, her steps, her very breathe. All blended in.

He looked up at Sayre until she landed, nodding as she spoke. She was clever, he had to give that to her. He moved to the end, nodding for her to do her thing. He watched the female, wondering why he was so relaxed around her currently. Hell, he had sought her out, hadn't he? God... he was growing soft. He was disappointing himself currently. Whatever, she'd get the food and leave soon.
.... Did he want her to leave? Hell yes! But not really... Wait was he actually caring?! .....

Carefully positioning herself, Sayre lets out the flames from her feet. She heard the scampering going toward Jack. Her silver eyes darted towards him. Focus... Even if he wasn't she could easily spring off if she had to. As she watched him she was trying not to think too much about him. But... she couldn't help it. Why damnit! The whole feeling was making her frustrated. She couldn't focus, think, even her heart wouldn't function right.

Jack lashed out his shadows as the bunnies approached, frightening some that he couldn't catch right then. He had killed two by the time he turned to see how many stopped, noticing another and quickly stomping on it's throat. A violent hunter, yes. But all was fair in hunting. He scooped them up in his mouth, tossed two at Sayre, and cracked his neck. All done in seconds. Jack was a good hunter.
"The third can be hidden. You live here right? If you can't finish one, save it for later." Was he being nice? Dammit...
