Realizing, rather suddenly, that he had the smaller male in tow, A-Three stopped, turning to Fiver II and sighing softly, though it was less exasperated, and more the 'what am I going to do with you' sort of expression. Hand reaching out, he patted the other a bit in Three's rather stiff, uncertain sort of way. "You should sleep now...just pick a place wherein you may obtain some measure of comfort, though I would wager we're all in something akin to a state of exhaustion just now." Most notably the obvious 'youngster' of their group.

It really was very difficult to hate him...self-sacrificing and naive, certainly, and A-Three was still trying to force himself to categorize Fiver II as expendable.

It was proving no easy feat, even for a fellow of A-Three's impressive mental prowess. Glancing towards Fiver, he noted that the man was already making himself comfortable. Just a well. Fiver seemed a rather adaptable creature, which only further frustrated and confounded Three that the other had gotten stupid...gotten himself killed. Well, apparently he'd been granted some sort of mercy in this otherworldly place, if indeed having the capability to die twice was any sort of mercy at all. Crossing arms over his chest, he began an almost mechanical scan of the terrain he could still see through the fog. He'd keep this up for hours yet...this a responsibility he was all too at ease with handling.

Once again, A-Three found himself wondering just who he was...who they all were, on the other side of this fog.

Fiver blinked when he noticed the interaction between the other two and then just ... smiled faintly and shook his head. He wasn't sure why he hadn't noticed until now, but Fiver II was rather a bit ... endearing when he did that. Not the time to think about such things, though.

"C'mon, buddy..." he murmured, holding out a hand. "There's not so many rocks over here."

Fiver II was staring owlishly up at Three then found himself being pat on the head in what he considered as an affectionate gesture. It was nice and comforted him immensely. Three wouldn't let anything happen to them. He nodded once again when he was told to go to sleep but didn't move. He wondered what was under that mask. He was caught up for a moment in wondering.

What color were Three's eyes? Blue? Green? Brown? He tried to place them but alas, the color of one's eyes has nothing to do with personality and he couldn't figure out which made more sense. In fact he wondered why he was welling on it at all-

'C'mon buddy...' The words penetrated his brain and he tilted his head toward Fiver. Giving a somewhat of a smile the boy trailed to put his hand into Fiver's until he could get himself settled. Once he felt comfortable (as he could get) he felt his eyes close. His head fell against Fiver's shoulder and the boy was out long before anything else could be said.

[A12 TRAVELING to cornfields, 7:47 HST]

A-12 had been walking in relative silence with the group ahead, her silence adding to the silence of several others. She didn't have much to add to the conversation, only shaking her head at times to look around.

The dog was thick. A-12 almost wanted to capture it in a jar to keep it-- as if one could keep fog. Pfft.

The whistling abruptly cut off and for a short moment a-4 simply stared at the figure before him. Picking up his pace, he finally called out, "Why 'allo there, Missy 10! See you've got yourself a case of the livelies once again, eh? Very good! Very good!"

Catching up he paused again, and leaned in close to the girl. "Hrrrrrmmmm...hummmmm..hawwwww." Well, didn't have the urge to kill her one bit really, but maybe it was a bit too soon to decide. "Looking well indeed," he declared cheerfully. "Bit of travel's always nice, though but..." he looked around a moment before asking, "A-7 brooding about then? No use for it!" He held out his elbow to the girl with a slight bow, "My lady?"

A case of the livelies, indeed.

"Yep," she replied, laughing wryly. "Apparently I was dead for a while." Eyeing him, she wondered if he'd say anything more about the subject.

Whatever it was, she felt that he was definitely on her side; he had, after all, been the one to finish A5 off. "A bit of traveling is definitely nice," she agreed. "Are you on your own? You should come with us. I wonder what we'll see when we get there. Other than corn, I mean- the place on the map was marked 'Cornfields'."

Taking the proffered arm, she looked towards A7- only to see him turn a corner and disappear into the fog, Z8 in tow.

Hrmmph. First he was acting all moody, next he was cavorting with other girls.... for as much as she liked Z8, she didn't appreciate her being in such close proximity to A7. Well- she'd catch up with him later. They were already approaching the same turn in the road, and she thought she saw stalks of corn amidst the fog.

Ahead, she saw the rest of their group milling around- yep. It seemed like they'd reached this place known as The Cornfields..

Moderating his steps to match hers, a-4 patted her hand, "Well, it's not exactly a country fair by the looks of things, a great deal of fog here as well. But I note a distinct lack of giant flaming horses. Always look on the brightside is what I always say!" Well...it's what he said now, at least!

Oh no, she was late. Late, late, late for a very important date! A12 ran off, into the foggy distance, after everyone else.

Nearly there. He could see it not too far ahead! The fog dissipated enough to allow the forms of buildings to come into view. "Almost there!" Z12 said out loud in an elated tone. He moved to run toward it, but stopped short. Oh right. He said he would slow it down.
He chuckled despite himself, and turned back to Z2. "Seems empty to me!" He really couldn't be certain about that, but so far so good. They hadn't run into anyone at all while travelling.

He really hoped he had made the right decision.

No matter! He wasn't alone. He had someone to keep him sane, and happy.

{Z12 is exiting travel for the Abandoned Town}

"Seems promising enough..." Z2 remarked with a chuckle as the town came into view, "Looks... haunted. Honestly though, I would much rather meet a ghost than run into one of those creatures again or an enemy squad member."

There didn't really seem to be anybody around, but it was too soon to let down their guard. They'd just have to hope for the best then, "Well, what are we waiting for, slowpoke? Let's hurry!" Z2 ran ahead giggling, this time making Z12 be the one who had to catch up. Revenge!

After a few hours, A-Three woke Fiver for his own shift...the night thus far had been peaceful, absolutely uneventful in terms of dark, malevolent on-comers, be they human or otherwise, and he hoped that it would continue that way. Curling up in a spot not a foot from Fiver II, he soon fell asleep...for hours...until his own anxieties awoke him... Though his sleep itself had been dreamless, he still had far too many things on his mind. Strange, considering that he did not remember much at all...merely the events of the last, oh, twenty-four hours or so. Jolly good vacation, this. Frowning, he moved to stand with their younger sentinel, nudging Fiver with a foot on his way up.

"We'd best be on our way...the fields cannot be far away now..." He could almost smell them, if indeed waving stalks of corn had a smell. Cornfields. Strange, who would be growing corn in a place like this? Corn was hardly the sort of crop that he would expect to be growing wild...at least, that was what common sense told him. And waving a hand, gesturing that they follow, he silently indicated for them to fall in line, as he moved off towards their destination. They really didn't have time for much these days...be it sleep or otherwise. Peculiar, that they didn't seem to need sustenance too.

When Fiver awoke, he noticed a weight on his shoulder and glanced over ... then smiled faintly at Fiver II asleep there against him. Carefully, he shifted the other's head to the ground and scooted away a little to watch for a few hours.

Thankfully no more Death Ponies or other beasties appeared and no other people came upon them in the night. It'd probably been a good idea to get off the path ... But in the morning, what would happen? He sighed softly, and settled in, finally waking Fiver II a few hours before dawn. Then he curled up again near Three for the rest of the night.

In the morning, Fiver stretched a bit and idly pulled his phone out to check the time. At least the dame things were still good for that, even if they couldn't send messages to each other. And he blinked upon finding a few new message there waiting. "Beware of shadows ... huh..." he muttered, then frowned at the next message. "Hey guys," he called, jogging a bit to catch up with Three as they headed for the cornfields. "Should we try for this special thing? It says limited availability ..."

Fiver II didn't have a dreamless sleep. His dreams were at first unsettling and terrifying. Filled with blackness and fiery horses from Hell with large teeth, bucking and gnashing at him. He and Fiver were there, fighting the insane beast until he saw, once again, Fiver's body fall limp against the ground.

But the death horse was no match as Three, seemingly out of nowhere, vigilantly brandished a sword at the monster. In an instant there was a brilaint flash as Fiver's body disappeared and was replaced by the alive version of himself. The three of them together struck down the horse.

Fiver II smiled in his sleep not noticing when he was placed onto the ground.

When he awoke when Fiver was ready to lay down. He was feeling much better now that he'd slept that horrid day away and happily went to fullfill his post. Nothing happened and he found himself watching his allies rather then the world around them. He was trying to figure them out. Figure himself out. Who were they before? Who was he?

So many questions that brought daylight on ever faster. He got the texts and sent in the message but nothing seemed to happen. Damn. He was hoping to get a pendant for at least one of them. Hopefully more would be given out this way instead of around a monster's neck.

Seeing Three wake up Fiver II was instantly standing and gathering what they had. "Yes sir." He commented sounding much more chipper then he had the last day. He trailed after them and nodded to Fiver, "I sent it in while you were asleep but... I don't know that anything happened."

Never in Z3's life had he suffered such an infuriatingly long and dull walk as this-- notwithstanding, of course, that he only remembered said 'life' since waking up on the island. Though ever present of the sounds and steps around him, there came a point when his mind began to wander, reflecting back on some forgotten past he could only assume happened at all.

Perhaps he should have been more unnerved by the fact that his mind was one massive empty page, but as far as he was concerned, focussing on the present was much more important. So long as he lived through this gauntlet, there'd be time to remember-- or in some worst case scenario, he'd simply start some 'new' life from here onward. Nothing wrong with that, was there?

... Still, there was the catch of having to live for him to do all that.

He didn't speak for the rest of the trip, and time passed in a hazy blur of fog until, finally, he could see the distant shadow of waving cornstalks ahead. At last, they'd be getting business underway-- him and his... team.

Onwards, and hopefully upwards.

[ Zeta 9 start travelling to abandoned town at 10:12 GMT ]

Zeta 9 stumbled along the beach in an area where the fog had begun to lift enough to kind of see where you were going. That 'kind of' was reinforced when she hooked her foot on a rock, nearly falling. She swore and looked around to see if anyone saw. No one else she could see.

Which made a point: Was travelling alone really the best idea? The other Zeta's who werent in that thing's 'game' had left already, but whether or not they stuck true to the plan of the town was unknown. Eh, she guessed that even if they didnt go there she would be able to find someone. So onwards to town it is! Lets hope they were friendly there. She didnt particulary want to paint the town red with herself.

[Zeta Six/Bones enters Traveling @ Saturday, 2:25 AM PST - towards Abandoned Town]

Bones didn't bother to look behind him, but he was sure there had to be someone following after him. A cloud of melancholy emotions hung around his head while the dull pains of anger radiated down through his core. Had he been a coward, moving ahead of them like that? He wanted to be there for his team, he had planned to be there for his team. "The best laid plans... but no action behind it." .... "Dammit."

Firm footsteps were made in the dirt as he continued his way North, the man (Man, boy? He didn't know really.) felt heavy, laden with both guilt and his new purpose. He was a medic, that was a given, but he wanted to do more. He aspired to do more... that small happy dream was becoming well short lived. What else was there to do though? He had made his decision to leave as the others had made their decision to stay.

The plan, that was what he could hold onto, the plan to get away from the surf and ...fog and begin looking for answers to their many questions. Perhaps it wasn't the best way to go about it, after all the cloaked figures seemed to be the ones more in charge. The things with the answers. He thought, apathetically. He was beginning to doubt his rhymes and reasons for things. "Best not do that just yet." A sly smile curled onto his mask-cloaked face.

Bones couldn't be too hard on himself, after all, if he was going to make it through and have the group meet him in the town he would need himself. Cursing in an inaudible tone he turned behind him, watching the swirling white mass of fog dance along the barren sand. The sound of waves was further off now, far back to where all of this had started. "Maybe in the town we'll finish it." He muttered. "Or maybe just me." A dark thought, but a realistic one. At least now he was actually thinking.

(Zeta Ten/Cupcake enters Traveling @ Saturday 3:11 AM PST - towards Abandoned Town)

Zeta Ten wasn't sure where he went, but she knew if she kept following his footsteps she would catch up to Zeta Six, or the now called Bones. Her heart was heavy at the thought of having left everyone behind, but if she didn't have to be a part of a blood-bath, she didn't want to be.

There had to be more she could do with her gun than kill her fellow man. If anyone was going to help her solve this mystery it would be Bones, and so she took it upon herself to walk faster, hoping to catch up to him.

Breaking through the fog, she saw a figure looking back at it. Hopefully it was him.
