Haru shook his head, slipping her off and glaring at her, now anger appearing. Hot white anger. "Why?!" He snapped at her, shoulders raising. "What the hell?! Why didn't you follow me?!" He bristled, glaring to the side, his rage now directed at himself. "I couldn't help you, and it felt like s**t! I was so scared! That damn metal thing just took you away and it smelled like so many other animals! I didn't know if I'd be able to get you back!" Haru snarled lowly, biting his bottom lip hard enough to make it bleed.
"God dammit, I was scared for you!"

Ceri recoiled into the nearest corner. She didn't like seeing Haru this angry, it scared her. All she could mummer was "I'm sorry..." repeatedly. Tears were welling in her eyes and she blinked them back. She watched Haru and saw his lip bleeding, it made her stomach churn. In the back of her mind Ceri knew she wasn't good enough for Haru, she got into trouble, she got him into a place he didn't want to be. She couldn't take the feeling that was inside her, she just curled into a ball and cried, she couldn't look at Haru now.

Haru looked at Ceri, and really looked at her. His heart broke right then and there. This was his fault. He couldn't protect Ceri, he couldn't control his temper. Everything was wrong. He was wrong. He was screwing it up. He had made her cry like this. Haru took a step back, eyes widening.
'I love you, Haru!' Doci's voice echoed in his head. She had left, too. Now he knew why. This was his fault. Everything. He hurt people. He hurt Ceri who he..... he... lo....lo-
'Don't you dare say love! Don't you dare replace me!'
That was when images of his mother filled his head. If he loved another person, he'd be replacing her. She'd be gone. His love for her would divide. She would be meaningless. When did he realize he had these thoughts? When did he suddenly realize he was actually deeper than some... some damn punk?
And then he ran away from Ceri.

(Mini time skip: A few hours later)
Ceri couldn't tell what happened. She remembered being in the metal box.. then Haru coming to get her. Wait... Haru! She looked up from her spot and shakily got up, wincing from the soreness in her joints from the fall. "H-Haru?" He wasn't there... All she could thing that Haru couldn't take being with, couldn't take it when she got into trouble, or the way she lived in general. Her heart hurt. She walked out of the Alley and just walked. Before she relized it she was at the lake where she was taken away. She walked down to the edge and looked at her reflection. She looked like a mess... and that what she was. A mess.

Haru was neglecting the city, fleeing from it. He wanted to continue with the memory of his mother. Yet, why was he so.... sad? He wanted to go back, see her. Wouldn't that betray his mother? Yet, it was time, wasn't it? But, no.... No! His mother!
Though, as a man he couldn't just ditch Ceri. He couldn't just let her feel ditched. He couldn't. It was wrong. Morally. So, when he turned around he found himself seeking her scent, finding her by the lake half an hour later. The male emerged from the bushes, tail flicking side to side.
"Ceri, I'm sorry." He grumbled, ears lowering down against his head. This was his fault. He couldn't protect Ceri or control himself, he was replacing his mom, god...god women! Women! Ugh! Why were they his special people of his life?!

Ceri hard Haru's voice behind her. She lowered her head. "I should be sorry... You don't belong in the city. And yet you came here for me. I put you in danger... What good am I to you if I do that?" She turned and looked up at him. Then looked down at the ground, she wanted to be with him, but... was she worth it?

"Shut up."
He glared at her, head jerking to the side. "This is my fault. I'm a man, I should care for you and not make you cry. I... you know I lost my mum, I know you do. When... when I saw you crying I felt...I wanted to comfort you. I wanted to promise to protect you forever. But, I'd be replacing my mum then, right? I'd be betraying her if I just ran off with some woman.... but...I..."
He stopped, withdrawing into himself. He was hurting Ceri, and she was clearly breaking. Jesus, he failed.

Ceri's eyes focused on the ground. She didn't know what to say. But.. something inside her was telling her to do something. She just went up to Haru and hugged him tight. She didn't want to let go. He was the glue she needed to help mend the little pieces of her that broke. "If you were just running off with someone, then maybe.. but if you really loved that person it wouldn't be running. It would be staying with them. I know you had a close bond with your mother, but I also know you have a heart large enough to share it." She looked up into his eyes. "Wouldn't your mom want you to be happy? With the one you love?"

The hug made him twitch slightly, shocked by both the contact and the fact that Ceri was actually forgiving him. He blinked at her, eyes flicking to the side. Wouldn't his mother want this for him? Wouldn't she want him happy? Was that true?
His mother was a kind woman, and he knew if he was hurting because he was trying to stick to her she would be.... sad to say the least. Perhaps Ceri was right. He looked at her as best as he could, voice lowering.
"I'm not a good boyfriend, you know? I say all the wrong things at all the wrong times."

Ceri looked up at Haru. He considered her his girlfriend, that was enough to let her know that he loved her too. She smiled and nuzzled into his chest. "I don't care. I love you Haru. I love you for who you are and for what you do." She kissed his check. "You know I love you enough to forgive you. This will stand true for as long as I'm alive." She smiled at him, tail wagging a bit.

Whoa whoa whoa? She loved him? And he had only just called himself her boyfriend! His cheeks turned a bright red as he turned his head away and letting out a low sigh.
Oh god dammit, it couldn't be helped. He liked being near Ceri, she was his foundation. His anchor. Her hyperness did frighten him at times, but hell, he knew he had frightened her before. He turned to look at Ceri, kissing her directly for the first time. When he pulled away his eyes were narrowed, sincere.
"I love you, too, idiot."

As Haru kissed her, she was in complete bliss. She melted inside. She smiled brightly. The her smile turned into small, sheepish one as she blushed. He may have called her an idiot, but hey, he flat out said he loved her. She didn't care, she pounced onto Haru and snugged him close.

"Whoa!" He fell over as Ceri tackled him, using his tail to keep her from hurting herself. Eyeing the vixen, he turned a bright red. "O-Oiy, don't kill me!" He shook his head, paw rubbing his muzzle piercings, nervous.
"Now..." He looked at her, using his paw to ruffle her hair into a mess. "I want to set a rule. No more getting in trouble with humans, or I will personally kill them." Oh, he didn't care if she liked them, because hell he liked her! He was not letting them lock her in boxes anymore!

She smiled as he blushed. "Oh I won't kill you physically. I'll kill you with love!" She kissed Haru and smiled more. She giggled as her hair was ruffled, she didn't care either. She wasn't one of those girls who fussed over their appearance. "Alright. No more trouble.... Well... I'll try." She smiled mischievously at him.

He glared at her. "No, no more trouble or I'm forcing you into the woods" He stated firmly, laughing a little. Yeah, he was a worrywart that ruined the mood, that was him all right. The paint-splattered fox's ears twitched, groaning lowly.
"Hide me." He hid behind his new girlfriend just as a fox bounded through, and since Haru was bigger than Ceri he was failing at the hiding part.... "I've been looking for you everywhere!" Riku exclaimed, emerging from the bushes. "I thought your fail of a friend here hadn't saved you in time, then when I went into that human place I saw you two escaping from a window before I could catch up!" She stopped, noticing the way Haru's cheeks were a slight red, eyes widening.
"Whoa whao, did I interrupt something?"
