Frowning as his attempt failed, Blade moved towards Kohaku as well, which warranted a glare from the guy. The stranger decided to dismiss him and looked towards Riyo with a glint in his eye.
"Oh, touchy aren't you? Though you are more than welcome to come along as well. But seriously, let her speak for herself. Surely she doesn't need others to do the talking for her. A cute one like her?" he said before looking to Kohaku, "Come on, ditch these peeps and I can show you a real good time, hm?"
"Hey, back off. If she doesn't want to talk to you, she won't. Maybe you should take her silence as a hint," Blade stepped in, sounding more firm than a few moments ago.

"You're an idiot." Riyo spat, looking angrier by the second. It seemed like everywhere they went there was some douche who wanted to try their luck at winning the national cup of douchebaggery.
When Kohaku was asked to leave her new friends behind she started to shake her head, unwilling to ditch the only actual friends she had.
Sighing, she finally removed the notepad from her pocket and scribbled something down quickly, tearing it off and offering it to the boy.
It read 'I'm mute. I can't talk to you.'

Dismissing what Riyo said, the guy stared at Kohaku, awaiting to see her response. She had shaken her head, but maybe it was what to the others had said and not to him. Then, with a hint of confusion, he glanced at the note she wrote out for him, taking a moment to take in this.
"Can't talk? Even better," the guy said with a rather devious grin as he reached out to try and take her hand.
Narrowing his eyes, Blade went to knock the hand out of the way.
"Hey. Back off!"

A loud gasp escaped Kohaku's mouth as the young man tried to grab her hand, immediately trying to retract it.
"Alright. I'm done." Riyo hissed and aimed a punch right for the guy's nose. "If I castrated every man who came up to me or my friends with lewd and perverted intentions, I'd have more balls than the toy store before Christmas!"

The next thing the guy knew was that he had a fist right to his face. Staggering back and putting his hands over it, he took a few moments to regain his senses. Blood was now flowing freely from his nose.
"Damn, nice hit," Blade commented, "Has... this sort of thing really been a big issue?"
Not that it was anything against Riyo but he wouldn't have thought that anyone would have problems with a bunch of creeps hitting on them and such.
"Jesus ******** Christ!" the guy said, sounding more nasaly now, "Forget you bitches. No one wants some little c**t who can't scream in sex anyway."
With that, he stormed off.
Frowning, Blade turned towards Kohaku with a look of concern, "Are you alright?"

"You have no idea." Riyo mumbled as she pulled her fist back, practically unable to count the number of men she'd had to 'deal with'. Even Klyde's brothers wanted a piece of her. Thank God his a*****e father didn't seem to be the rapey kind of guy like angsty drummer and jockstrap.
Watching the event unfold with wide eyes, Kohaku watched the blood drip from the young man's nose, covering her mouth to hide the fact that it was gaping. She... Had never seen a girl do that.
Though... His comment seemed to strike a chord in her. Watching him storm off, she suddenly appeared... Sad.
Slowly, she nodded to assure Blade she was fine, her hand dropping to her side and uncovering a frown. It hadn't been the first time she'd heard something like that... But it didn't make it sting any less.

Looking towards Kohaku still, Blade let out a sigh and patted her lightly on the shoulder. He could see that hurt expression in her face. Something told him that her muteness was something that turned away a fair amount of people from her. People were so... fickle.
"Don't listen to that guy. He's just an a**," he said softly.
"Is there anything else you want right now?" he asked, hoping to distract her from this little incident.

Kohaku looked up at Blade as she felt a hand on her shoulder and halfheartedly smiled. She knew he wasn't a very nice guy... But what he said was pretty true. Not many guys were very interested in her because she was mute. It didn't matter what she looked like...
"You know Kohaku..." Riyo started, putting an arm around the girl's shoulder as if she'd known her for years. "You should look at the mute thing as a blessing instead of a curse."
At that statement, Kohaku looked at Riyo as if she was shocked.
"Think of it this way." Riyo didn't seem to lose her composure when she saw the look the girl was giving her. "All of the men you don't want to attract are put off by something as shallow as your inability to speak. You don't want to be around those guys anyways. It also rules out the same kind of friends. It's basically a filter for all of the gnarly people."
Kohaku... Hadn't thought of that. The main reason being that she'd thought any friend was a good friend. But... Maybe Riyo was right.
Looking to Blade as he questioned what to do next, the mute shook her head and shrugged. She'd never actually been out with friends... So she had no idea what they could do.

Blade couldn't have put it any better. Smiling at Riyo with what she had said, he nodded in agreement. He then paused at the idea of what else to do, since Kohaku didn't seem to have much to say there.
"Maybe we could swing by the arcade?" he suggested. He had no idea if Kohaku was into games at all, though. It was still an option.
"We could head back home too if you'd like," he added.
