Thumbing his way though dusty tomes, Mokuzai searched the library for anything relating to the Primedark or Draven. Mokuzai brushed the dust off a tome Titled simply: Know Planeswalkers. Mokuzai quickly spread out the tome and began flipping though it. It appeared that the Consortium was aware of Draven Grask. He read on. Reportedly, Draven's home world was Dominaria, but Mokuzai knew that much from his story. The consortium had him listed as unsolicited. Out of curiosity, Mokuzai looked up his own name. it had all of his information correct, including the fact that he had just rejected an offer for work at the Consortium. Mokuzai had a moment of unmitigated awe at the enchantment inside this book and made note of it for future use. Shaking his head in amusement, Mokuzai placed the tome back in it's place and resumed scanning. Mokuzai's finger found a strange book, the text down the spine was in an odd language. Mokuzai pressed a finger to his temple and cast a simple translation spell on himself. The text re-arranged itself into something resembling: The Door with Ten Thousand Locks. The translation was off, and Mokuzai knew it, but something about the tome piqued his interest. Mokuzai focused more and more mana into the spell, but the more the words rearranged themselves, into more accurate translation the more disturbing the titles became: All Dark, Lockbreaker, The Chained Dark, All Consuming. Mokuzai shook his head to clear the translation spell. He picked up the book and brought it reverently to the reading table. he set the tome down and opened the cover, inside was more of the strange writing. Mokuzai translated as best he could, but he couldn't make sense of the words. Mokuzai had never had that happen before. three knocks came from the door. That was the sign. Mokuzai had given Oboren to use if someone was coming. Mokuzai barely had time to close the book, push in the chair, and tuck the book under his arm before the door opened, Mokuzai vanished before the man stepped into the room. It was Ganot. Mokuzai watched Ganot for any sign of suspicion or urgency, but Ganot simply picked up a trans-plane business transaction receipt and began working. mokuzai phased though the door and released the spell. Mokuzai heard Obroren jump. Mokuzai waved a hand and oboren was once again visible.
After thanking oboren, mokuzai walked back out onto the street. He needed to find someone familiar with this language.

"It appears that the game has begun..." Richter said with a smirk as he noticed the other creature flying toward his hawk. By channeling black mana into his free hand, he was able to attain enough for a simple spell. The dark mage aimed his fingertips at the advancing creature, allowing a minor use of the 'Grasp of Darkness' spell. Black tendrils wrapped around the statue, forcing it to try and struggle free from its new prison. Unfortunately, that meant it's wings were bound. If it didn't have a means of escape, it would plummet to the earth and shatter. That wasn't Richter's concern.
Within a few moments, Richter had scaled the wall, and stood atop it. Fortunately, his mastery of black mana had allowed him to solidify and manipulate a piece of it like a floating disk. Either way, the two men--Richter and Draven--were now about twenty feet away from each other. "Who are you?" His evil voice would almost definitely fill the man with doubt about him. The man's aura alone emanated enough evil to attract the man's attention, but what about his persona? "It seems that you'll be the first to die...in a long series of deaths."

. biggrin raven Grask:. Draven watched as the man goaded him in such a fashion. "One of in a long series?... I see dear sir that you have me confused with someone who would just lay down and die. Besides your quite the more interesting topic looking from where I'm standing. Your own power doesn't seem to agree with you."He addresses this as the energy in the new man isn't acting as it should. Draven places one hand over his chest just as his gargoyle comes crashing down to the street below him. "Conflicting mana.. its such a wonderful thing isn't it? It took me some time as well, but enough of this conversation. I can see your here for something entirely different. But I do have one warning for you... He looks up at the hawk circling above the man and his eyes go wide as he invokes a small pang of black mana. The hawk rips in two with a small burst of black viscus fluid. He then looks back at the mage.. "I will relish this far more then you." He says this as his hands grow sleek ridged claws.

The Squadron Hawk was of little importance to Richter. Mainly, the white mana used to summon it was now under his control again. Using both the white mana now in the air and the black mana inside of his weapon, he could launch a successful attack. In one, fluid motion, he threw down a hand that he had raised to the sky, while drawing his black mana-infused blade with the other. As the blade tore from its sheath, it formed into the familiar black and white staff that was his trademark. Within an instant, it was gripped within both of his hands, ready to use. With a simple twist and swish of the staff, the black mana had formed into a spear of dark magic, whereas the white was forming into a sort of flaming, white imprint. Both attacks flew at the rival mage with considerable speed. If--by some rare coincidence--Draven recognized the white spell, it would be the one he would try to avoid the most. Condemn would force him to vanish from this plane and appear to one of Richter's choosing.
And which--exactly--would he choose, if Draven were to be hit by the spell? Zendikar, of course. Right in the most unstable part of the region. That would teach the mage a lesson for interfering with his grand design. The creatures there would have their way with the impudent man.
"You'll find..." With another wave of his wand, the spear erupted into a hail of pointed, tendril-like attacks erupting from the original spear. Each had the power to completely pierce him where they successful. "That my mana doesn't conflict nearly as much as you think." Sure...there would always be a problem with his black and white mana conflicting, but the way this man worded his phrases, it was something Richter would eventually get over. The mage gathered further types of both mana in his staff in preparation for Draven's retaliation.
(Just finished making my second Red and White deck. This one is heavily token-based in the form of Golems and Myr artifact tokens.
Lots of artifacts, namely the white and green shrines. biggrin )

Mokuzai ears perked at a strange ripping noise from a great distance, followed closely by a curious whooshing sound. As Mokuzai came to an intersection he saw a black and white glow coming from atop a building to his right. Mokuzai amplified his eyesight twelve times. He could see Draven and another mage atop the roofs as well as a large hawk circling above and one of Draven's stone pets plummeting from the sky. The posture of Draven reflected the same disregard he had shown during their previous meeting. But the other man was serious, his posture was that of a man on a mission. Mokuzai sighed. He spread his arms. "Stand back!" He yelled, alarming the people around him. Before he left Kamigawa, the sacred Myojin of Life's Web had bestowed a great gift on him: the ability to transform. Mokuzai said a small prayer of thanks, then transformed into a dragon. His blue/green scales flickered in the sun as he flapped down with powerful wings. He rose till he was level with the two mages. He was still a good distance away, but when he saw the Black/White blast shoot towards Draven, Mokuzai waved his massive claw and summoned a draining whelk. The spells hit the illusion, but instead of killing the tiny creature, it's coils surrounded them and absorbed them, making the whelk much larger. As Mokuzai flew toward the two mages he cast his usual plethora of protective enchantments upon himself. He was going to try to stop this fight if he could, if not, he would take the fight to another plane where he could unleash his true fury without killing innocents. "You will stand down!" Mokuzai bellowed as he closed the gap rapidly.

. biggrin raven Grask:. Become Mokuzai was in view Draven could already tell that another was on the way, sight of his contradictory spell only verified this thought. However this turn his smile in to a slight frown since he was looking forward to this interaction. However his regard was cut short when the energy of of the black spear rips free of the spells vortex. The attack strikes Draven in the left side of the chest but does not pierce through. It collapses into an orb and forces him back, causing his feet to drag till he forces himself to stop. When he pushes back the blast is redirected down into the roof creating a nice large hole. The effect takes Richter by surprise despite the fact that he can hear the effect that it had on Draven. Who addresses Mokuzai's form as he soars in.. "I did not think you and I would be meeting again so soon." Draven says as he adjust his coat and letting his ribs crack back into place. But his demeanor drops itself as he brings his attention back to Richer. "You've got some skill.. that's quite refreshing in this day and age. But I guess its my turn isn't it?" Draven use's his hands to form a circle in front of his chest and then the whole area begins to pulse with intense green mana. The energy forms into a swirling tornado that races towards Richter, growing more massive as it travels and ripping up sections of the surrounding roof tops. By the time it hit his building it had already sucked up enough debris that it looked more like a twisting river of stone to Richter then a tornado.

Another flap of the wings brought him close enough to the fight to transform back into a man. He flipped gracefully and landed on his feet beside Draven. He was close enough to whisper in Draven's ear "Have you not found it odd that so many planeswalkers have appeared in this part of Ravnica all at the same time? You say She came to you, and judging by your blade, you are telling the truth. She visited me as well. What if this man has also seen Her? What if he is our ally? You must think before you act!" Mokuzai turned and addressed them both. "I do not know what quarrel you have! But the coming Darkness is greater than any petty squabble! Lay down your arms, calm your hearts! This is neither the time nor the place for this argument!"

. biggrin raven Grask:. As Mokuzai's words reached Draven he pulled his arms back and directed the tornado violently to the left breaking it in the process. The result sent chunks of rocks and other bits of debris flying over the opposite street. Draven looks at Mokuzai and addresses him frankly. "I know that you have good intentions in mind, but I doubt this man would be willing to listen. He readies himself as the man prepares another strike by pulling the metal rod from his coat and bringing it to the ready.

Arihelia Arihelia was sitting at the top of a building with her leg crossed, she was seeing and listening to the whole scene from that place, there was no need for her to approach them and they were in no need of help, she looked at the man that was wilding the black and white mana, his black mana seemed so much more than the white and in a sense it felt different, though she couldn't really understand why she felt that way.
It seemed that SHE had come to those two man down there as well, and the man that had transformed into a dragon was right, why were so many planeswalkers in one place and at the same time?

Richter had a defensive spell prepped, but it seemed that the man had averted the tornado before he needed to use it. The other man--this shapeshifter...he appeared to be more of a nuisance than the last. For now, Richter kept his staff out. It pulsed constantly with black and white mana at the ready. Of course, he hadn't heard their little exchange about 'HER', but he was under the impression that the whispering was a further plot.
"What business do you have here, interfering with my battles? Skip along, boy, before I'm forced to do something I won't regret." Richter's voice--at that point in time--was hardly his own. The conflicting personalities inside of him were quarreling again...the side they'd seen before was the battle-hungry white...
The black mana persona was nothing short of pure evil. In fact, the black mana persona was even stronger than he was currently at the expense of a literal urge to kill living things. This group should be thankful that it wasn't taking over; it could have quite possibly meant serious injury or death to all three of them. It was in that form that Liliana's power was at its height. It was in that form that he took on characteristics of Liliana herself, and was able to perform with her black mana almost as powerfully as she did.
So far...he had only felt it once. The sheer, uncontrolled power coursing through him was horrifying at the time, but it was like a drug to him now. The black mana he wielded now was only a small taste. "I suggest you back away and let us finish this fight..." The black mana around him began to intensify to lengths far surpassing what it had been before; could the boy's sudden appearance have driven his annoyance to the point of the Dark Mana Form? "Unless, of course...you'd like to die."

. biggrin raven Grask:. Draven's head cocked with the mans words.. a very profound look swings across his face as he turns towards Richter "...You know what?... I think its time for you to..." He brings a finger to his mouth and shushes through it but the sound does not come out as a Shhhh. It builds to an actual physical pressure that Richter can feel on his face and the sound turns to more of a soft hum. Like some sort of song from out of thin air bringing a force that peeled away magic at its barest point. Even his disk of dark mana is whisked away with the sound of this song and any free magical enchantments are pulled off his body. Draven watches as he falls to the roof top landing solidly on his feet. "I don't care how sinister you try to make yourself out to be. I have seen creatures far darker crushed under my heel." At that moment a shred of the dark mana comes floating past Draven and he snatches it out of the air before It can disappear. He eye's it and places the fleck on his tongue which invokes a strange frown from him. A low growl emits from his throat... "..A minion..nothing more then a minion. This is almost too laughable.."
"Tell me little friend, did her promise of power involve your end as well? Or did she decide to leave that part out?"

Mokuzai knew exactly to whom Draven was referring. Mokuzai had met Lilliana in his travels, she was a powerful mage to be sure, but her power was drawn from a silly artifact, the power on her veil would eventually run out, Kamigawa never would. Mokuzai sensed her power on the mage. Draven was right, this was almost laughable. This silly mage treated the power as if he owned it. He wondered briefly if he should simply call upon his beloved Myojin to show this man just what kind of power backed Mokuzai. It would be a waste of course, and Mokuzai's own natural abilities would be more than enough. Mokuzai's whelk flew around lazily, flicking it's tentacles in annoyance towards the slave. Mokuzai motioned it to his side. He touched the Ephemeral creature and it turned invisible. Mokuzai glared at Lilli's slave "Attack, and you will be cut down." Mokuzai drew Jugan, ripping the tiny vines around the tsuba. Mokuzai gathered green and blue mana from the falls of Minamo the the great trees of the orochi territory. With the teleportation spell ready in his mind, he waited patently for a response

Arihelia "Hhhm so a puppet?" she murmured to herself as she still looked at the scene from afar, the wind played with her hair as the scene seemed to be growing tense, "what could he be in such a need to face two planewalkers?" she wondered.

(Now, just to clear things up. In order for there to be a somewhat functional plotline, the bad guy usually has the higher strength in the beginning, causing the main good guys to go out in search of power, or 'balance', as you word it. Then, later, the two groups are on even terms and battle it out to see who is the truly best. My power comparisons right now are just in the 'beginning' story format. Later, we'll get progressively more and more evenly-matched depending on how long you wait to challenge me each time. This is my attempt to add my own flair to the story, and establish the second wall of conflict that your characters will have to face throughout the story.) "So that is how you wish this battle to be...?" At the prospect of battling both of these men, the dark entity could only smile. "The 'pact' between Lady Liliana and myself is not a 'servitude' as you call it. In fact...it seems that the two of you fail to realize that a large portion of this power..." Suddenly, a surge of black mana would overcome the man's body. Inside, the screaming of souls tortured in the black mana could be heard; they were...inside of his mana. What emerged was not Richter. The being...his power would be mind-blowing to even the three heavily-experienced mages before him. "...Is my own. You see...Lady Liliana has said that--at one time--she doubted that my dark power would ever come to rise. I was a holy being--one who did not feel temptation. She preyed upon my first instance of desire, and awakened in me the dark power that's destined to far outshine her own..." It seemed that--in their pleasant conversation--the two had overlooked Richter's concentration of white mana for the entire time. He rose his palm to the sky, and a single, extremely thin and concentrated beam of mana pierced the sky, causing the clouds to separate in a wide circle around the beam. The entire sky turned white as the man opened up a black-looking portal. It was the opposite form of the 'Banishment' spell, allowing Richter to transport himself wherever he wished. "It seems that the Day of Judgment is upon you. Save this town, or attack me. It's your choice." With that, the Dark Sorcerer stepped into the portal, allowing it to close immediately behind him.

Mokuzai reacted immediately. The spell was massive. Mokuzai had seen entire cites reduced to rubble by the spell. Mokuzai clapped his hands together then opened them again, between his hands was a tiny creature. A little Faery buzzed between his palms. Mokuzai whispered to the tiny creature. "I need your help, little one" The little thing nodded and zipped upwards towards the unfolding light in the sky. Glen Elandra Archmages were powerful nullmages, but mokuzai waited with bated breath as the little thing disappeared into the bright ball of unfolding light. One second, Two seconds, Three seconds. on the fourth second Mokuzai saw it, a blue outline tracing the ball of light backwards to it's origination point, leaving only blue sky in it's wake. When the spell had fully collapsed Mokuzai magnified his vision, searching for the tiny mage. He spotted her limp body falling from the heavens down to the city below. Mokuzai reached out a hand, and commanded a vine that clung to a building near the falling faery to reach out and catch her. The vines passed her body across the wall towards Mokuzai, forming bridges between building until the little creature was deposited back in Mokuzai's hands. Mokuzai poked the creature with a fingertip and a single spark jumped from his finger to her chest. She coughed. Then in a flash she was up and buzzing about. "Thank you little friend" He said to the faery before waving a hand and unsummoning her.
