Yuna regained her breath and cursed herself for being such an idiot. "Yeah I'm okay. Thank you." She watched as De took the scales off the fish. She took mental notes of everything he did. She didn't want to be incompetent all her life. Yuna's throat did feel dry but she wanted to watch De. "No no. I'm good." She cleared her throat a bit and smiled at him.

Not taking his eyes off her De tried as hard as he could to suppress worry. If she had choked he would have died. No doubt about it in his mind. Without Yuna he would have simply dropped dead. Tearing his eyes off Yuna with some effort he looked down at the fish. He had somehow stripped most of the scales without looking. Blinking De took a paw and shook it away from the fish trying to fling off some the scales that had attached themselves to his fur. Then he brought the paw back and peeled off a large chuck of fish meat from the bones. Offering it out to Yuna he also did his best to hold up the fish with his other paw still sitting there. “As you can see there are a lot of bones so be careful ok?”

Yuna wondered why De was staring at her. Was it because she was staring first? She fidgeted a bit and plucked off a few scales that landed on her. "Ok, I'll be careful of the bones." She took the piece of meat and ate carefully. She was trying so hard not to look at De while she was eating.

De looked down and pulled some fish meat off for himself to eat. Yuna wasn’t looking at him so he figured he must have done something wrong. Did I treat her like to much of a child? I know I wouldn’t do that on purpose.. but I don’t think she knows that. He set the rest of the fish down and nudged it toward Yuna. With that done he headed to the water to wash off any extra scales that were buried in his fur.

Yuna finished off the fish, when she looked up at De he wasn't at the fish. Did something happen? Did she do something wrong? Her head whipped around and sighed when De was washing off the scales from his fur. She was full and left the extra piece of fish where it was. "You missed one." Yuna reached up and grabbed a scale that managed to get lodged in his hair.

Hearing Yuna’s soft voice made De want to melt. She wasn’t mad at me. She had just been busy eating. What a relief. De turned to Yuna not even trying to hide his smile. “Thank you, though I think I’ll still be finding scales in a week from now. Fish scales are like that.” He pushes some of his golden hair out of the way of his blue eyes. It was always in the way.

Yuna's chuckled a bit. "Maybe watching the fish more than me will help next time~" She blushed when she said that. Then her heart jumped around as De fixed his hair. She always knew his eye were blue, but here in the brilliant sunlight his eye where just breath taking. She couldn't help but to just stare into his eyes.

“But you are more interesting to watch.” De winked at Yuna and leaned over and licked her cheek. A shadow passed above his head and so he looked up in time to see what he was certain was the end of all of his hopes and dreams. His mother landed right down by Yuna and himself kicking up dust with the speed of her landing.
Hael had been worried about her son. So she took off to find him. Now she wished she never had. Here he was with that deceiving deava blooded harlot! How could be do such a thing? Didn’t he know that this was a knife straight to his loving mother’s heart? How could he do this to me after I’ve been so careful to warn him that her kind can’t be trusted? How can I protect him from her hurting him? Hael took a deep breath and started at the two struggling to control the rage on her face.

Yuna cheeks grew hot and pink as he licked them. Before she knew it a cloud of dust poofed up. Oh no... Yuna knew Hael despised her, she slid close to De's side. She loved De and she had to stay by his side. If she ran from Hael what good would that be? It would deem her as a true disgrace. Not even Yuna would let herself be with De.

Wrapping a wing around Yuna De started at his mother in shock and worry. She looked like she was about to explode. He could almost see her tangible rage. He hoped she would have spent her anger on the argument the night before though it certainly didn’t seem that way looking at her now. Swallowing hard De kept his head held high as he faced his mother. “Hello mother.” Yuna was next to him and De would not back down from his mother this time no matter what.
“Hello? Hello! Is that all you have to say?” Hael laughter bitterly. “I spend all of last night trying to talk some sense into you about staying away from that. That.. vixen.” Hael pointed to Yuna and her voice held enough venom on the last word that she sounded harsh even to her own ears. Wincing Hael shook her head and blinked back tears. “Why? How could you do such a thing? She has Deava blood in her. You don’t know how horrible those creatures are and how subtle their corruption!” Her own son was standing there facing her like she was the enemy here. Hael felt dizzy she was so upset.

Yuna held her ground by De. She had never seen Hael so furious. She sighed, what was with this Phim? Yuna was a good fox, even if she did have Daeva blood in her. Yuna took a deep breathe and stepped out in front of De. "I am not a horrible creature." Yuna's cat like eyes narrowed in an Hael. She remained calm, there was no need to get loud.

“She’s right mother. Yuna isn’t horrid at all. She is sweet and kind and I have every intention of staying by her side no matter what you may say or try and convince me of. You have to understand that.” De stepped up next to Yuna looking at his mother with pity. He had never seen her look so small and vulnerable before. She was on the verge of crying and it was upsetting to see.
Shaking her head slowly Hael couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “That thing stands up for itself and you take her side. How could I have missed the signs of her corruption already in you?” Hael looked at her son as if he was mortally ill and she could have tried and stopped it sooner. “Look at her eyes Dethiatin those are the eyes like a deava. Soon enough just by being around her you’ll start to act like a deava yourself and soon you’ll be no better than they. I’ve seen it before in a phim that was foolish enough to mate a deava.” Hael sighed. “At the time I didn’t know any better and even considered finding a mate regardless of whether or not they had cursed blood. After my experience at the claws of those two monsters I learned better.”
(Hael is referring to Radu and Lyrica.. and to be fair she flipped and took things way to far. Radu was just annoyed with her and didn’t want to deal with her. Lyrica was the instigator because she was jealous. )

"Not all Deava's are bad! I mean... Yeah... there are some who are rather rude. But take my dad for example! If he was like your stereotypical Daeva imagine how I'd be! I wouldn't love De cause he's a Phim. I'd probably be up to no good! But look at me. I'm harmless! I can hardly hunt!" Yuna sighed. Telling that to Hael probably wasn't too good either.

Snorting Hael stared at Yuna with contempt. “So what you expect me to believe you’re not a threat? Rather you’re just some inept little hussy that wants my son’s heart because you love him? Why should I believe such a lie? Those with Deava blood are tricksters. You have fooled my son, but you will not fool me.”
“Stop this mother. Yuna isn’t anything like you think she is! She is right. She and her family are nice! I even spoke with Yurgure about his own past and how he ended up with Yuna’s mother. He didn’t use tricks or malice of any kind to win her heart. Why don’t you believe that?”

First she was a monster now she inept. Why couldn't Hael just accept her? She's never done anything wrong. "What do I need to do for you to accept me? So I can love De with out you wanting to implode!" She sighed and looked at Hael. "I do anything to be with De."
