Chaos stepped up to Titus, shaking his hand.
"It's nice to meet someone else not from around here. Do you know how you got here, or is that also a mystery? I came here from Sinnoh."
He turned to Raiu. "Raiu...that is your name? Yes. I think that a fight right here, right now would be dishonoring these people's memories. If you guys wanna duke this out, I'd suggest it gets taken somewhere else."
Chaos walked to the edge of the pyre, staring into the flames.

dwells within a sound mind... Raiu simply didn't care if the others didn't understand why he was so pissed. And he wasn't about to explain it to anyone, not Silvy, not Kerri, Rol, Chaos, even his own brother Eklyx, and least of all some stranger. He raised the PokeBall, spun it on his finger, and pressed the button.
"I don't need to give you a reason, but I have plenty reason to be suspicious to the point I need to make sure that none of my friends are in danger. Luxray, let's roll!"
With a flick of his wrist and a magnificent flash of light, Raiu's pride and joy, a powerful Luxray materialized onto the field. Instantly, a flash of fire overcame the Luxray and it was Burned, and at the same time, an aura surrounding the Luxray signified that the Flame Orb had done its job, and Luxray's special ability Guts activated.
"Are you ready?" ...and a sound body."

"Though Chaos is right I will fight you, I'm ready whenever you are." Manny stepped forward his muscles rippling from the muscle band he wore. " Oh wait!" Titus walked over and mumbled a sorry and a prayer,"Oh and Chaos I have this thing on my wrist when I turned it on it said... pokenav I think, any help?" Titus turned back and went over to his old position for the battle. "Ready!"

dwells within a sound mind... Although he felt guilty about fighting right next to a funeral pyre, he was defending their honor by driving away this potential Nightwalker. Besides, Raiu had no intention of losing.
"Alright then, Luxray, start off with a Fire Fang!"
And with Raiu's command, the aura-covered Luxray's sharp teeth burned with a gleaming flame. Charging at the large Mamoswine, it sunk its flame-covered teeth into the Mamoswine which took twice the damage for having a weakness to Fire-type moves. However, Luxray was the one at a disadvantage. Mamoswine was a Ground-type, so Luxray's Electric-type moves had no effect on the Mamoswine, and Luxray could potentially be in danger.
But Raiu didn't care. He just wanted to get rid of this spy. He hated being decieved, but what he hated more was the ignorance and arrogance in people who thought they could decieve him but simply fail at it.
"Come on Luxray, give it all you've got!" ...and a sound body."

"Manny use dig!" Mamoswine went under scraping the Luxray off of it on it's way down. "Ok Manny jump up and earthquake!" Manny popped out of it's hole and unleashed a devastating earthquake.

Chaos scrambled up from where he had fallen, anger burning in his eyes. This was sacred ground.
"Neptune! Go! Stop this!"
The Empoleon jumped into the frenzy.
"Hydro Pump!"
The Empoleon opened its beak and sent a jet of high pressure water straight into the Mammoswine. As he did so, Chaos noticed a Premier Ball fly from Roland's hand.
Chaos roared, "CUT THIS OUT NOW! THESE PEOPLE DESERVE REST!"

"THIS STOPS RIGHT NOW."
Roland yelled at the top of his lungs as he regained his balance. Then he let a premier ball fly. From it came Brisingr, his Infernape. "Brisingr! Take that Luxray down!" He watched as the Infernape took the Luxray down and pinned him.
"Enough. You two are acting like idiots. Fight later." He turned to Raiu and pointed at him. "The moment we find out he's not one of us, you get first dibs. Until then, leave him alone. This is a damn FUNERAL. Everyone in MY CITY is dead. And you have the nerve to pick a fight on the ashes of the deceased?" You could almost see the fire in his eyes at this point. Literally, it was the reflections of the still going fire. It made him seem angrier than he was, which was harder to do.

Manny was sent sprawling from the hydropump, but he got up and looked between the Empoleon and Luxray and used roar stating he wasn't to be intimidated. Titus walked over and patted Manny on the shoulder calming him, " There was no need to attack Manny here we didn't start this fight we're just finishing it." Titus called Manny back just in case he was still angry he walked over to where a chair was left after it's owner deserted it for some insane death, he sat down with a sigh.

 『Cold, calculative eyes took in Kerri's explanation. Each "x" drawn was like a painful memory; the poisoned battle square where she had nearly died fighting Snaps, the also poisoned earth that had once been one of her favorite gardens on the island; they were not just reminders of Verin's past attacks, but reminders of all that he had destroyed. All that they had lost, quantified on a makeshift map before her.
She noted the oddly positive, casual tone that Kerri used as she spoke, even as she glossed over the prospect Verin had likely been targeting Roland, and might do so again. She leaned over the map, nodding as Kerri came to her conclusion. She was right, of course- Verin would attack where it would affect the most people.
Silver sighed. When she woke up this morning, she hadn't been expecting to prepare for another war. Her only care had been getting her next ribbon. It seemed so unimportant now- it was amazing how quick your perspective could change.
"So, if Verin is likely to attack here," she began, "that is where we should go, right?"

Kerri just started to not in response to Silver when they both fell from the earthquake unleashed by the fight going on behind them. Kerri snarled in a way that was rather unlike herself, and stood up angrily. "Bloody men and their bloody battles interfering with bloody planning..." she said coldly, crossing her arms impatiently as Roland and Chaos took the fighting to a grinding halt. "Oi. If you're all done fighting, I think we have an idea where the next attack will be. Statistical analysis for the win." She cracked her knuckles and grinned. "Anyone care to hear?

Chaos returned his Empoleon to his ball, and walked over to Kerri, peering over her shoulder at the sketch made in the dirt, which remained miraculously unharmed.
"Ummmm....I don't know this area, but I'd like to see what you've come up with."
He sat cross-legged on the ground next to the sketch and looked up at the group expectantly.

Roland nodded, then turned to the two who were fighting and said "It happens again, I'm not bothering with Infernape. Before you fight, ask yourself if you're ready to take on a fully trained Groudon. THEN act." With that, he turned and walked over to Kerri, then gave her a hug. The hug helped him calm down a lot, comforted him. "Tell me what you've got, dear. It's probably better than anything else we've got."

~~*~~ ~~*~~ Kerri kissed Roland sweetly, picking him up as she hugged him tightly and placing him down again gently next to her sketch. "Right," she said, clapping her hands together and rubbing her palms against one another as she gathered her thoughts. "So I drew out the previous attack patterns that Verin used. Rarely do people change their habits, and when they do it's usually for a very distinct purpose, and with certain patterns. Verin likes flash, he likes to draw attention. Most of his attacks have been in populated areas, and often those with serious threats to him. Like you, dear."
Kerri took Roland's hands in hers and kissed the tips of his knuckles gently, trying to help keep him from blowing up, or breaking down. Giving him something else to focus on generally helped, even small things like a hug or a comforting pat. "You're a threat to Verin. Even without Groudon. He might even be scared of you. Maybe we can use that."
She gave his hands a comforting squeeze before dropping them, turning back to her map, outlining for the others what her various marks meant. "Following his attack pattern, he generally goes after relatively undefended places, largely populated. And since the dispersal patterns of attacks for most psychos are spread out, not purely random, I think the next attack will be here." She placed a finger on the city she'd selected before, the former home of the water leader, a position that was currently unoccupied. "It is an educated guess, so it may be wrong, but... it's something. It's one of the only places that's been untouched, and Verin doesn't hit places twice." ***

Titus looked up listening though not as interested, this wasn't his war he had no right to fight in it either. Titus stood up and looked at the group, "What direction might this place be?" Titus was bored here and he didn't like hanging around in big groups, too easy to target. "I think I'll head off on my own you guys maybe find this Verin guy." Titus walked over to where Kerri had drawn the map took a quick glance then started walking.

dwells within a sound mind... Raiu watched as the scene unfolded. His Luxray was down on the ground and everybody left the scene. Raiu returned Luxray to its PokeBall, but he stayed at the scene. He just stood there. His head was hanging, his fists were clenched. Everybody was pissed of at him, but they didn't know. They didn't what happened. They didn't know what happened... With her...
Raiu pulled another PokeBall off of his belt and threw it in the air. A Flygon popped out, looking eager to fly.
"Flygon, let's go over to Kerri and Silver."
With that, Raiu and the magnificent dragon set off, and flew until they reached the two girls.
"Sorry... About the whole incident... I just-
... You wouldn't understand.
So, what are we looking at here?" ...and a sound body."
