Leighton ran his free hand through his slick black hair and offered it to Kirk. "Hey, man. I'm Leighton. Third year in Ravenclaw." it sounded as if he spoke with a tone that gave off hate. Suddenly Leighton's friends came up and smacked Vanessa's back side and laughed at Leighton's anger. Vanessa felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. "Sorry, my friends are idiots." he shrugged. "So, Vanessa, lead the way." he winked at her.
Vanessa felt herself smile. "Alright," she accepted, "Kirk, follow me." she walked and let Leighton wrap his arm around her. They came to a long hallway that formed a square with open areas that led to the outside in the middle. What were supposed to be windows were only ledges that you could jump through to get to the outside. "Here is where students can just hang out and socialize, we call it the Quad." Then she pointed down a narrow hallway. "This hall leads to the Gryffindor Dormitory, it's your last right. Then across from it is a bathroom." Vanessa continued walking, now entering through a large door as high as five stories. Once opened, it revealed a huge library. "This is the library. You can find any information here. Literally." she didn't stop walking and she suddenly turned right, opening up to a thick hallway. "These are where all the classrooms are. Except Care for Magical Creatures is down by Hagrid's house which is near the woods. And Herbology is in the greenhouse which is in the next hall." she informed. Vanessa stopped and Leighton released her. "So, Kirk, do you want to go any where else? I just showed you the basics is all. There's also the field where Quidditch practice is and Flying Class, and there's a lot more places." Leighton smiled warmly at Vanessa as she spoke.

Vanessa nodded politely with a warm smile and began heading past different hallways and entering a few doors. Finally, the three came to a large grassy field that had been previously mowed. Leighton scowled at Kirk as he walked behind him, seeming to loom over his body. The field was filled with students flying on their brooms and practicing quidditch.
Leighton smiled at Vanessa as he walked in front of her and faced her. "Want to fly?" he whistled, and his fancy broomstick flew in front of him.
Vanessa replied with a sweet tune of a whistle, and then soon appeared her Nimbus 5000. "The newest broomstick, you see." she challenged with a wink. She looked over her shoulder at Kirk. "Want to fly with us?"
Leighton gave an uneasy look. "Don't you think he should be heading to his dormitory and putting on the proper dress robes and meeting the teachers?" he said as he looked at Vanessa, then to Kirk. "Since you have already, Vanessa." Leighton added.

Leighton wanted to take Kirk's wand and crumble it in his fist. Then his broom disappeared.
"What are you doing, Leighton?" Vanessa looked at him with her large eyes.
"I need to go." he replied vaguely as he began walking away.
"Leighton!" she called after him but he ignored her. Vanessa sighed. She looked over at Kirk. "Maybe flying wasn't such a good idea." her nimbus then disappeared into the sky. She frowned. "Well, what do you want to do?"

Vanessa's fangs sparkled as she turned toward Katari. She smiled warmly and turned back to Kirk.
Leighton stomped towards the door, accdentally bumping Katari. He stopped. "Oh, sorry." his eyes were blood red. He huffed and smothed his Ravenclaw robes. He continued walking.

Leighton stormed into the Ravenclaw dormitory and brushed past his friends. They called after him, but he ignored them and went into his room.

Vanessa slowly turned to Katari, unsure if the girl was coming to her. "Um, hi." she smiled. "Is this your first year here, too?" she raised an eyebrow as she fiddled with her curly black wand.

Kirk stood as watched Katari fiddle nervously next to Vanessa. "Hi, I'm Kirk. First year Gryffindor." He smiled warmly.

Kirk shook the girl's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you. So how have you liked the campus thus far?" he asked.

Kirk wondered about Katari. There was something different about her. Was it her shyness and how everyone here seemed to be open to anything? Or how she was quick to talk and seemed a little eager? It briefly crossed his mind. "It is rather fascinating." Kirk felt intelligent when he used big words. "Do you have anyone to stroll around with to look at the campus with?" he asked cheerfully.
