X Japan is a really good band and they put on a really good show so i deffinatly suggest that you guys buy their concert dvd. they ROCK!!!

I like the more rock type, does anyone else like bands like Vidoll, Gazette, or Baroque? Anyone?
Dir en grey are my all time favourite band D; and MYV is my love<3 I also adore: Camui Gackt, i hate to say it but that man is so awesome DD:, and L'arc~en~ciel/P'unk~en~ciel/Hyde <3 And AnCafe are adorable too!<3

I really, really love Remioromen... saaa... *bursts into song* Konaaaayukiiii neeee...
Their album is #1 right now~
I also love ORANGE RANGE and Asian Kung-Fu Generation.
Did anyone hear "VS" by misono? She's Koda Kumi's little sister. I think she's got another single out now but I haven't heard it yet.

I used to like her... but I lost a lot of respect for her once she tried to make it in America and said that all that time she spent making music in Japan, she was doing something she didn't really want to do, because she wanted to be a pop-star in America instead. Ugh. And now, she's a nobody in America, and she's got another album coming out in Japan... er, maybe it's out already? I dunno. Either way, I'm not buying it. I loved her music when she was just a Japanese artist, and her putting down all that work she did just to make herself look cool in America (the songs on her American CD sucked so much, IMHO) made me dislike her.

ferretclaw well, for information, http://wiki.theppn.org is ground zero for info on jpop (for me, at least). to get actual music, http://www.jpopsuki.com is where you can find lots of torrents to download mp3s, vids, and everything else. you can also try a file sharing program of your choice (i like emule) if you don't want to use bit torrent. also, i really REALLY suggest the jpopsuki TV stream. i've been into jpop for years, but i wasn't really a FAN, or anything. after i discovered that TV stream, though... man, that got the ball rolling. you get exposed to so many artists' videos, and some you really start loving. that's how my recent obsession with shiina ringo (and tokyo jihen) got started. as for suggestions, you said you like namie amuro? hmm, maybe you'd like... i don't know... koda kumi? depends on if you like namie amuro's RECENT work... which reminds me of koda kumi, for some reason. o_O but i don't know enough about either to make that kind of a judgement. There is no where to go from the Jpop suki website!? gonk

Oh has anyone said Mika Nakashima heart yet? I love her, her songs are very classical and jazz inspired, she's also a natural beauty, she doesn't need make up. I like GackT too, and Orange Range. Maybe Utada Hikaru. Oh and can't forget about Rie fu! And Nami Tamaki!
But Mika will always be my favorite heart ! Does Lena Park count? She sings in Jap too, but she is Korean. And K, the singer. He is Korean but is very famous inn Japan then in Korea.
