((It brings me such joy to see this RP taking off 3nodding ))
Nathan had been knocked into a wall when Anne ran into the large demon.
"Ouch"
Nathan rubbed the back of his head as he started to get up. Just then something grabbed him by the throat and all went black.
"w-what the heck happened to you?"
Nathan woke up to find a small boy looking him in the face.
"wha?"
Nathan looked down to find he had been scratched up and bruised pretty badly. He lay their for a second to regain his composure.

More shots rang out. The man quickened his pace. He finally found the source of the noise - it was coming from a building nearby. He entered the building to see what was going on, his hand moving towards his shotgun. He glanced around and saw that there had been a bit of a struggle. He entered the next room to find a dark-skinned woman in battle slacks.

ElDestructo More shots rang out. The man quickened his pace. He finally found the source of the noise - it was coming from a building nearby. He entered the building to see what was going on, his hand moving towards his shotgun. He glanced around and saw that there had been a bit of a struggle. He turned around to face her.
"Yeah... I got into a bit of a scrape. But I'll be okay."
He paused for a moment.
"Are you..."
He trailed off, unsure what to say.

She looks at him listening to what he has to ask her. Then she sees that he is hesitating and she nods her head.
I am a demon hunter.
she winces her face a bit.
funny, you're the second person I've told that too all day. ^_^. what do you know of demons?

He grinned, glad that she was an ally.
"Demons? I know that they die when you shoot them." He smirked. "By the way, my name's Detroit. What's yours?"

"It's Anne" she cupped her hand over her mouth and yawned.
"Sorry, I'm kind of tired. What are you going to do with your back?"
she took a look at his torn red jacket stained with some blood. she wondered if she did not have some bandages he could use.

He felt his back - It was warm and sticky.
"Oh. I didn't realize I was bleeding that badly. Oh, and nice to meet you. Who's the other person you've told you were a demon hunter?"

"Oh. He is a demon hunter as well."
Then she stops for a moment and looks around.
"Well, his name is Nathan and he was with me while I was in that building"
Anne points to the building behind them.
"But I don't know what happened to him. I hope he is okay."
She looks at Detroit. "Would you like to help me look for him?"

Anne walks up the steps leading into the building. She goes back down the hallway that is now a mess with rubble and pieces of the wall that was broken.
"you check down here. I will look upstairs..." Anne tells Detroit
"be careful"
then she walks down the hallway and walks into a dark stairwell

Eyes still closed, he calls out to the boy who found him.
"Hey, where am I?"
"My house. well, sorta.. it was my moms but she comes in only when she isn't completly wasted on drugs"
"I'm sorry..."
"Dont be. I'd probably be doing the same thing if I didn't have a first hand look at what it does to people."
"you certainly are wise for a boy"
"You have to be to survive here."
He opened his eyes but was unable to see much beside the light filtering onto him from a boarded-up sky light
"I never did get your name..."
"It's Nothing Special. Catch ya on the flip side."
"Wait!"
The door slammed and silence filled the room as he lay there trying to see through the dark room. he lay there for a minute and then sat up.
"On the flip side... Nothing Special."
