As he suspected, Shun didn't get a great amount of sleep. Though, as of late, sleep was hard to come by anyway. There usually was something plaguing his mind. He just happened to have more yesterday than normal. Skipping his homework as usual, he went out to take a walk in hopes of feeling a little more refreshed. It was easier for him to be burdened by his feelings and thoughts during the day when he didn't have as much to distract himself.
As he made his way around the campus, he spotted a certain white haired girl sitting out on the grass, doing homework. Now was probably as good of a time as any to approach her about his findings.
Quietly making his way over, he paused when he was near, hesitating some.
"Hey.." he started to get her attention, "Are you busy right now..?"

Looking up from her spot on the lawn, Mitsu watched Shun as he approached. "N..no, I'm not busy." She seemed a little relieved to be able to focus on something else as she sat back up and closed her book. "What's up?"

Nodding to the girl, Shun motioned her to come along with him. Somehow he had a feeling, talking about this while on campus wasn't the best of ideas.
"I found out a few things last night.. regarding your parents," he said quietly, "If you want to know what they are.. then let's take a little walk."

Mitsu's eyes went wide for a moment when she heard Shun mention her parents. Gathering up her things quickly she got up off the ground and followed him. "Y...you found out about my parents? How?" She looked at him curiously, her eyes wanting to know but at the same time nervous about what she might find out.

Seeing her come along, the assassin shoved his fists into his pockets while trying to think on how he should go about this. There didn't seem to be any other way aside from being straightforward.
"The assignment Suto had for me was to take out certain personnel... as well as to gather some files for him. The Lupus files were among the requested things," he said softly once they had moved a fair distance, "It seemed like a coincidence at first... but I glanced inside and it had their details; said they had two children, Ginji and Mitsu."
Glancing over towards her, he frowned some, "This probably won't be easy to take in.."

Mitsu continued to follow behind the assassin, the silence looming until he finally spoke up again. "Take out....personnel?" Mitsu's voice seemed rather meek when she repeated that phrase but she said nothing more about it.
"T...there were files on my parents? Where did you go that they had files on my parents? And why would he want them?" Mitsu was more concerned about the need for the information. Her parents had worked at a research facility and while she didn't know what they had worked on she didn't imagine any of the information Suto would gather would be put to good use.

"It was a research facility at the border of the warrens," he started before pausing, "Suto's own files were at that place. From what I managed to pick up, he had worked with your parents for awhile. They were working on some sort of new genetic medicine before they passed on. All the other files had to do with Suto one way or another..."
Shun's eyes stared towards the ground as he was piecing a few things together still.
"There wasn't much personal information on Suto himself. But the picture he had in there seemed to be really old, and yet he doesn't look any different now than then."

Mitsu's pace began to slow as her mind took in the information. "Y...you went to the place my parents worked? Y..you were taking out people...my parents had worked with?" She really didn't known any of her parent's colleagues but that was still hitting a little too close to home. Suddenly Mitsu realized how detached from the situation she had been with Shun's killing. It didn't seem to bother her so much when it was in self defense or the people weren't really all that good but...these were people her parents might have known. Might have been friends with. If her parents had still been alive....would they have been random victims of circumstance?
Trying her best not to dwell on that information she moved onto the next tid bit of info that was well on its way to blowing her mind. "And Suto...he worked there?" The rest of the information Shun told her about Suto seemed to be lost as Mitsu began speculating the reason behind her parent's deaths. It all made sense didn't it? The mysterious death or 'accident' as they liked to call it. She had always wondered but her brother had assured her she didn't want to know any details. It must have been horrible, horrible enough her brother never wanted her to find out.
As her mind continued to race with the new info Mitsu found her feet coming to a complete stop as she swayed slightly in place, the books and notepad slipping from her grasp. "W...what happened to my parents?" Her brother would be angry that she even thought about asking but she had to know...and he was no longer here to tell her no.

Her first questions made Shun flinch a bit. That thought had indeed crossed his mind before and now he wondered if Mitsu still believed he wasn't a monster. She really had only witnessed him killing others in self defense or something along those lines. The scientists that were not slain in this fashion. The one female tech was in the middle of pleading to him to not hurt her before her life was taken away. And yet he felt nothing. He knew there was something wrong with that fact.
"..Yes," he replied quietly, ".. It's quite possible they had worked with them at some point.. I'm really not too far behind Suto when it comes down to it."
Closing his eyes, he shook his head slowly and tried to recall what he had managed to pick up. Turning around, he saw that she had stopped in her tracks. As he thought, this was hard for her to take in.
"I couldn't find that information.. There's little doubt in my mind that the 'accident' your brother told you about had something to do with him. Very little doubt" he said darkly, "Suto currently has all the files... if I could get a hold of them again I could try searching, or at least give them to you. It would probably take too long for me to really sift through the whole folder on my own."
"As for why... I don't know that either. It sounds like Suto was working on a lot of different things. Maybe they found something he wanted or maybe they defied him in some way... If we could find that maybe we could find why he's.. taken you."
It infuriated him that this guy had twisted so many things in Mitsu's life. But, he didn't know if he really had the right to feel vengeful about considering everything.

Staring at her things that now sat on the ground at her feet Mitsu wasn't sure what to do or what to think. Shun had just brought to light a rather harsh detail of her life she hadn't given much thought to and while she hadn't grown up with her parents in the picture it was rather devastating to think that they had been taken by the very man who posed as a teacher....her teacher. The reason for why they were gone was still unclear but the cause was starting to be narrowed down.
"I...I don't know what to do.." She said honestly. These new thoughts were rather overwhelming. Tilting her head up she turned slightly so that she could see the school. A thought flickered across her mind...maybe she should confront the scientist about it? Then again, what would he do to her if he had gotten rid of her parents? It was hard to say why he had done it so there was no telling what could happen if she made him angry. "W..what do I do?" She asked Shun, turning to look at the assassin, her eyes looking very lost. "What...can I do?"

Silently, he watched Mitsu with a sense of sorrow. A part of him wondered if it was really a good idea to have told her this. She never said she didn't want to hear it, but he still wasn't sure. She looked so lost now and it pained him to see it.
Closing his eyes for a moment, he stepped closer to her and gently placed his hands on her shoulders.
"I'm not really sure Mitsu.. I'll... try to see if I can find out more, but I don't think we can let Suto know that we know this.." he said softly. Then, casting his gaze away, he suddenly felt somewhat ashamed to be here. Letting his hands drop from her shoulders, he slowly shook his head to himself, "I'm sorry Mitsu.."
Shun didn't specify what he was apologizing for, but there were several reasons anyway.

Lost in her thoughts for a moment the small amount of comfort Shun offered her by placing his hands on her shoulders seemed to at least calm her nerves a little. It was hard to see though since her mind was a frantic mess still thinking over the information she had been given and trying to weigh her options; if she really had any.
As soon as Shun's hands started to pull away Mitsu reached out for one of them before it was gone. "S..Shun. Just...don't worry about it." Knowledge about the dead was hardly worth risking the lives of those still alive. "It's...not..." Worth the trouble? The danger? It's what she wanted to say but it was difficult to say that about her parents. "...I don't want you to risk yourself just for information." She finally said instead. "Besides....I'm sure Professor Adolphus already knows.." Her gaze turned back toward the school again. They weren't far and she wasn't certain how far his creatures would follow in the shadows, but Suto was awfully good at finding out secrets.

"I've already risked myself once to get it for him.. it wouldn't be much to do it again. It's... what I do," he said after a long pause, "Besides, I.. want to know. I'm sure you do as well."
Glancing at the hand she had managed to catch, Shun let out a small sigh as he squeezed her hand lightly.
"If he does, then I guess we'll find out soon enough."

"Shun...my parents are gone. Knowing or not knowing about how or why they died isn't going to bring them back." It was a fact she had learned to deal with and she wasn't so sure knowing the full story would ease her mind. It could very well do the opposite if Suto was involved. "Promise me that you'll let it go." As she looked back up toward him, her crimson eyes meeting his dark brown ones, her lost gaze suddenly became stern. "Promise me."

For a while, there was just silence as he stared into her eyes. Mitsu seemed rather serious about this, though he wasn't sure of her reasoning. If he had suddenly lost Bent-Tail or Mitsu, he'd want to know everything he could so he could exact revenge. He was sure there were those seeking vengeance on himself as well.
At the same time, he had to remember that she was very different than the assassin.
"Alright... I promise," he said softly with a sigh.
