All that could be heard of their party host was manic giggling echoing around in the arena. He was somewhere, that was sure, but where exactly?
At least he was enjoying himself, the giggling proved that.

The energetic host's enthusiasm was infectious. Teddy couldn't help, but to feel excited for the upcoming game. He couldn't really get into arcade games, but laser tag was a completely different situation. This was physical, sneaky, and best of all competitive. In Esperite's book, there wasn't anything as motivating or as thrilling as competition, even if this happened to be a friendly competition.
"Now's here a game that I won't be able to pass up. Besides nothing like a little sharp shooting between friends right?"
Taking a red vest from the pile, he fastened it to his torso. It sat a little high up, but that was to be expected given his height. Teddy hoped this would be advantage since it made the vest harder to target, but he still would have to be careful as one of the taller members of the Negaverse. After he was sure the vest was properly adjusted and his clothing beneath wasn't wrinkled, he grabbed a gun and headed into the dark room. He forced his focus to be on the game and not the thousands of germs on the vest, gun, and who knows what that was scattered about the glowing arena. He sighed to himself in the dark as he remembered the excess grooming and bathing that would be required to properly disinfect his clothing and body after such a venture.

Ever wasn't exactly sure he was fond of this idea. It involved aiming, running, hiding, athleticism -- and on top of that, he was a good six feet tall. It made him a pretty easy, slow target.
He didn't quite understand what was awaiting him inside: blinking lights and obstacles and all kinds of madness to make it less about good aim and more about getting off as many shots as you could and crossing your fingers. So he hesitated a moment before grabbing his green vest and, grumbling, sliding in.

Oh hell no.
There were many things that Suri disapproved of, but nothing quite compared to a combination of children with guns in a dimly lit neon room, trying to virtually kill her. Nevertheless, she found herself torn by the fact that she was not simply attending a party, but that her superior officers were watching. And, given that Zinkenite seemed to be...close, that was the word--to the Captain giving orders, she really had no choice but to don the clunky green vest and step cautiously into the dark arena, scanning the area for the enemy.
She wasn't going to enjoy this in the slightest, but she was going to make sure she did a damn good job of not enjoying it.

By the time Nyasa saw the first green vest appear, she had already taken up a position crouched behind a block. While laser tag was intended to be just a fun game – and Nyasa certainly intended to enjoy herself – she figured this was also a chance to practice her aim.
Aiming her gun at Ever, Nyasa fired.

These weren't real guns. There was no bullet to whir past his head, though the sound of firing lasers made Ever start and twist in place, dark eyes hunting for any sign of movement. His hair was a beacon as he ducked down behind a box, not aware of his exposed back. He wasn't good at this.
But there was a flash of light on something, a hand pulling a gun back, and he fired wildly back in Nyassa's direction.
