Females are superior? How odd. Must be a cultural thing.
"Why are females superior, rather than males and females being equal? Sorry for all of the questions...but I guess I just don't understand..." he trailed off. He was used to equality in all forms.
Oh, how to explain. He hoped he hadn't offended her. "I...well, it's not that. I just don't know you very well. I don't know if you're the right one or not..." Aesthetically, she was pretty to him, but that was about all he knew really.

Semmy continued to hiss some, slightly irritated. "Whyssss needssss toossss knowwssss bettterssss forssss foalsssss?" She ruffled her wings, considering biting him for a moment in her irritation. Her feathers were ruffled, so to speak.
"Equalssssss?" The concept was strange to her. Of course one always had to be better than the other, because that's the point of having an other--to have something better. She looked at him with her head slightly tilted.

"Erm...not sure, really. But, the only ones I really interacted with that had foals, or were planning foals...well, they were mates. They really cared about each other. I figured that was kinda how it was supposed to be done." That's the way he was raised, and it's what he'd always really known. He shifted uneasily, he figured he was probably irking the mare with his questions, and views.
"Yeah...equals. On the same playing ground. One is not better than the other. I mean...I don't view you as better or lesser than I. There is no reason for me to treat you in any way other than that of an equal..." Maybe everything he knew was wrong?

Semmy hissed again, "Fairytaless...." She remembered that she was born of a weak mother, whom her father had enslaved. That's not how it should have been. Love was for...fools. It didn't exist. "Fairytalessss." She hissed again.
"Femalessss aressss betterssssss. Lovessss isssss notssss realsssss. Foalssss isss plannedssss." She was getting a bit irked with him as she remembered her father.

"Love is too real. How can you say that love is not real? Do you not feel love for your family, or friends?! Raivis gave a sigh. This female was so backwards! Love was totally real. He'd seen it.
"But WHY are females better?! You say they are, but you give no reasoning. It makes no sense to me. Explain, please."

Semmy let drop another hiss. "Malesss aresss inferiorssss....notsss assss goodsss. Justsss issssss." She rolls her eyes, "There'ssss nossss onessss."
For a moment, her mind drifted. Family? Sisterhood...What did it all come down to really? Of course she would love daughters...Wouldn't she? But romantic love...that was an illusion. Maybe love was even a lie, but loyalty was not. Wasn't that better than love?

Raivis heaved in a strong breath, before slowly exhaling. He shook his head. He understood what she was saying, but the logic behind it was missing for him.
"Says who?! Personally, why do you think that? It makes no sense to me why I'd be inferior to you. Why am I not as good as you? What makes me worse?" his impatience lightly leaked into his voice.

Semmy considered her words easily, "Childrensssss...yousss notssss carriessss themsssss. Moresss loyaltiessss to thessss mothersssss." She didn't know how to explain that there was no equality between the sexes. There would never be that when they were both created so differently. Males were inferior--could endure less pain, could not have children, could not exist if it was not for women producing them.

With a glare, Raivis snapped back at her. "Mothers leave too, you know. Mothers don't always stay. Some foals are raised with fathers, not mothers." He gave a huff. Quickly thereafter, he gave a sigh. "I'm sorry for snapping, but not everyone knows their mothers, Semmy." A frown marred his face, as he shook his head.

Semmy was surprised with the ferocity of his words. She hadn't seen him react so...aggressively before. All in all, it was pleasing to see the more dragon side of him. She chose her words carefully, "Isssss didsssss notssss knowssssss." As close as she'd ever come to an apology.

He shook his head, and sighed. "Of course you didn't; you live in a world where the mothers are the more dominant, it seems. So, why would you ever think of abandoning your foals? They're the ones who love you unconditionally from the very beginning."

With a sigh, Raivis shook his head. "Matter of opinion, I suppose." As she moved forward, he took a step back. His gaze, which had been on her face, lowered as well; looking to see what she was looking at. "What? Is there something on the ground?"
