He let her take the list so she could look over the names again, resting his hand on her side while he listened to her list of the names she knew and little bits about them. She only had concrete info on two of them, so those were the names he filed away for later use. The others he'd meet tomorrow, and he could form his own opinions. There had been a lot of 'funs' in her explanation, so he had that to hopefully look forward to. Of course his stance on situation best mirrored that of his ghoulfriend's, however fun it could be, he was still disappointed.
Her whine brought his full attention down to her, and he pulled her close as she curled on his lap. Brushing a bit of dark hair from her eyes before laying a kiss on her brow. "It'll be alright." They'd meet up again after the boats, right?
How long would they be on these boats anyways? He thought back to the sign ups, trying to remember if it had mentioned anywhere on there just how long they'd be out to sea.
A bight of bright red caught the ghost's attention, and squinting slightly realized that red was Bul's spiked hair. "Hey Bul!" He wasn't too far off, so he should be able to hear Seiji calling for him.

Seven in the morning wasn't a huge problem to Jareth, as the ghost boil was already up by then, playing some video games. Anything to get his nerves under some kind of control. It was bad enough he had only just arrived but already, he was going on a trip?! The notice on his door had sent him into fits of anxiety as he knew quite easily that he wouldn't know anyone there and talking.. oh hecate below, would he have to talk to people?! UGH! NO!!! ;_; But at least, it seemed like he had no choice really.. after all, it said he HAD to go... siiiigh. So there he was, shifting away from the others as he looked for the list of boat assignments. Um... oh! There he was! Boat one.. well, quite naturally, he didn't know any of the others but he gulped hard and tried to quiet the nerves that wanted to riot in his stomach. This... was going to be so not fun... And it got worse when he heard that he wasn't allowed to bring any minis. They said nothing about video games, so thankfully that wasn't so bad. Revi would be unhappy about not being able to do... but.. wait.. this was a blessing in disguise, right?! That meant no nagging at all! Linkus had to go or else he'd really get it when he got home, but... but.. no hauntings?? None?! This... wasn't so bad at all! *** For Livi, the early wake up call didn't phase him that badly. Hopefully, he'd be able to go to bed early instead of late. No kennel crap tonight then. Gotta finish packing up and then make sure he was prepared for the trip. The no minis thing made him frown slightly but then decide it was probably for the best. Not that he wasn't about to break rule by bringing Luka with him anyway, but he knew the runt wouldn't have been quiet anyway. Ah well, he could live with it hopefully. Luka would just have to be okay with it... His frown deepened though, when he realized that he and Carry were not on the same boat. Again, he found himself on a boat where he didn't know anyone... oh wait.. he did somewhat know Astra. Had they not been paired together in a class? Botany, he believed? Yes... Ugh, but why couldn't he had been paired with Carry? Was she going to be all right... looking at her boat, he rubbed the back of his neck a bit before he relaxed. Ah, he had people she knew on her boat, she should be all right. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his phone and sent her a text, anyway. To Dear Heart Where are you, my dear? I saw that we were not paired on a boat together, which is vastly disappointing, hmm? Are you prepared? But as he typed it out, he glanced around for her, cause it couldn't hurt to talk to her for a bit before tomorrow anyway. And where were they going anyway? After the last trip, he wasn't feeling all up to another one.. hopefully it wouldn't be as horrible as his first one. One could only hope really >>

The kiss cheered her up, closing her eyes and leaning into it. "I guess we can always text each other or something." How could would their reception be for calls? Would they be able to do that? She read over the paper again to see where here friends were, fully intending on keeping in contact with them as well. At least Riley and Chuppi were there...and Nuk, she supposed. He wasn't so bad anymore, just incredibly annoying.
Junko looked up when Seiji called out for someone, following his gaze and giving his friend a little wave. She looked around for her own friends, wanting to see them before they all went their separate ways. Hopefully it would be like the first field trip in that they could meet up after the boats...stopped.
She hoped to Jack they didn't crash again.

'Jack..' Arachne swore, looking at the list of boat assignments for the fourth time to make sure her eyes weren't deceiving her. She knew exactly three of the students on her boat; Gabrian who had seemed pretty okay, Ren, whilst being a monster had certainly not lacked in manners and intelligence during the Minipet training assignment..and Rosciel.
She scanned the crowds of students again, looking for the winged demon, wondering what his reaction would be. She grumbled, bad enough her Skitter couldn't come along, now she would be stuck on this trip with the one boil she could happily go the rest of her life never talking to again.
She cast another unhappy look around, wondering who, or what the other boat mates she didn't know were.

Tybalt stared blankly as the secretary, Arel, left the stage. Was that what this was all about? Some boat trip... and mandatory at that. Though where they were going and why? He had no idea. He only hoped that it wasn't going to be something as disastrous as the raid on Christmas town.
Even now he could hear those blasted JOY filled creatures and that... massive dragon-like cat thing---or whatever the hell that was. That was something that would haunt him for eternity.
At least he didn't have to worry about luggage, weapons or pets. He didn't need to carry any belongings and he could leave his pets in closet where they would be taken care of in his absence. As for weapons? He himself was his weapon, so he had no need to bring one along. That was a perk. He hated having to drag things along. Especially on trips. It was simply too much of a hassle. Especially when he usually didn't even need it.
That aside... It seemed as though they were going to be separated into groups again. Perhaps like last time? Maybe. Then again, it was unlikely. After all, there were new faces here as well, many of which he did not recognize, save for a few like that djinn, Yaya. So they were more than likely going to be assigned to new groups.

Tess had been ambivalent about the trip. She wasn't dreading it nor was she looking forward to it. Mandatory was mandatory and the winged vampire felt she'd gotten into enough trouble in school since she enrolled, which meant she intended to be on her best behavior for the trip.
But as the briefing went and and the lists were shown, it became very apparent that Tess was not happy. She had hoped to be on the same boat as Lizzy or Amrita (preferably both) but it was obvious her hopes were dashed to bits. She would have taken some comfort in having her minipet with her but alas, even that had been denied.
Giving the list another read-through, Tess noted most of the names were familiar: Yaya, Christof, and Unstabul whom she'd had minimal interaction with on groanspring, then Tybalt from the Track team, Obsidian and Sammy (there was an unconscious flinch at the undead ghoul's name) from Battle of the Bands, Valentino from the Monster Ball (which felt so long ago), and Icky. Oh Jack, Tess still felt guilty about the scarentines auction. The only student she didn't know on the list was Johan. Oh well, she supposed she'd meet him on the boat tomorrow. At 7 jacking AM (D8).
The manananggal brought her skelephone out to text: Wat boat # u on? ;_; wish we cud hav gone 2gethr.

Mandatory... field trip? What did that mean? Weren't field trips supposed to be optional? Alcyone frowned as she read the little note slipped under her door and realized that she had to arrive at 7 am? She would have to make sure to set several catalarms or there was no way she was going to get up in time. Though missing the boat might not be such a bad idea...
Alcyone wasn't sure what to think about a 'boat' trip because the last field trips that they had had, she had come back with a... negative outlook. Like, after the Christmas Town raid, Alcie had come back with a very strong distaste for snow and anything ice like. She didn't want to come back from this trip hating water or something... that would be blasphemous. At least she knew that if something went horribly wrong and the boat sank, she would at least be able to swim.
As Arel gave them their instructions, he mentioned not being able to bring any weapons or minipets. That was... concerning. From past experience, Alcie had learned that having a weapon of some sort would have come in handy more than once. Improvising with what you had was so much more difficult and generally ineffective. Amityville had taught her at least one thing, assume you're going to be attacked. And it was unfortunate that she couldn't take Eri on this trip. As apathetic as the wishing comet was, she knew that he had her back.
After the secretary finished his speech, Alcie looked at the list of boats and was more than happy to see that Sin was on the same boat as her. There were a few other familiar names like Tset, who had saved her at the Scarentine auction, and Viveca, the demon that she had just met recently.
Glancing around at the other students and gauging their reactions, Alcie had guessed that most of them were definitely not thrilled about this field trip.

Another field trip? It felt as though they had only JUST got back from the last one! Seriously! What was going on? And mandatory? Jack Dammit! Muttering a few vulgar words, Mei stiffened as she heard the mention of boats. Boats? As in, boats on water? As in sailing? As in WATER!? Couldn't they just take the train again? Why a boat!? "Er.." Cringing at the thought of her scroll getting wet, she practically face palmed followed by a groan. "We're not going to sink.. Right?" After the last transportation failure, she was afraid to think of what could happen out over waters.
Looking over the boat assignments, she let out a sigh of relief once realizing that both Tybalt and Night were assigned to separate boats. With those two on board, she would have voluntarily jumped over board. Eying the names of carefully for her boat, Mei only found two names that were familiar to her; Rain and Israfel. At least this way she was sure to meet other students.. Right?
Glancing over once more, she caught sight of their captain's name; Winters.. Was that the teacher Merope had been telling her about..? Now she was more curious than before. What kind of a person was she? Merope had talked of her personality before, but it all seemed so fuzzy a this time. Something about.. Blunt? Forward? Who knows? At least this was her chance to learn of what kind of person she was, and if she is someone she would want to take a class from.

Astra was not a happy little fairy...nope, not at all.
The field trip itself left her with mixed feelings; They were usually fun, weren't they? well...if what you called Christmastown was fun. But everyone seemed to be adamant on not going, so she was left to wonder if there was something planned for them. Something that was truly wicked, but in a bad way. As in "dam, this is going to suck", not 'ooo I'm so evil!"
But what followed next had made up her mind on the subject, And she was one of the students who were groaning their displeasure at the restrictions. She couldn't bring her minipets?! that wasn't fair! and worse of all, she wasn't allowed to summon her reaper weapon on the boat. That was outrageous! She would be completely disadvantaged on the entire trip compared to the other monsters!
She sat there fuming in her seat, staring daggers into the secretary on stage untill she calmed down just enough to look at what boat she would be on. Again, she wasn't impressed. She didn't know a single person on this boat! Oh, wait, there was Livi, the demon she had worked with briefly in her botany class. At least that was someone. And...she wasn't on the same boat as Jericho! She sighed in relief at that. She could easily imagine him setting fire to the hole vessel and sinking it. Maybe he would, so she could laugh at him.
The only good thing about this was that they were only allowed to bring luggae that was two feet by two feet. Which was actually alot by her standards. She would have to think of something good to bring....probably something that would help her encase she went overboard; Astra was unable to swim, as she couldn't get her delicate wings wet.

When Whisper received the notice she was thrilled. That was, until she read it. No weapons was fine for her, and as fun as having Sparkleheart Norris with her would have been, it wasn't a big deal. However, not with Natalia?! How was she supposed to deal with not being able to watch the werelemur's every move? She loved watching Natalia move...among other things. Perhaps she could meet up with her at their destination. If anything, there will be a few others that would be interesting to meet. She recognized a couple of the names in her group, such as Maladore and Amirita. They had been in one of her classes.
Whisper rocked back and forth on her heels, thinking of what she had heard about the last field trip. She wasn't able to go on the last one, but when the stories flew she was kinda glad. It was no walk in the graveyard that's for sure, and many were clearly dreading the boat ride. Maybe they were over exaggerating? It couldn't be that bad...could it?

Lilura was hardly comfortable in the large auditorium. She found her letter stuffed in Tortalo's mouth and he was hardly pleased by it. She had left him behind considering he was still cursing a string of words in spanish she wasn't even sure that were curse words. As she listed to Arel's speech she grew more nervous. She hadn't gone on the last field trip, a bad spell with a mousetrap had left her in her room. But at least she wouldn't be alone, maybe she'd make new friends.
WHAT?!! No weapons! Oh dear. Tortalo was not going to be happy about no being summoned while she was gone. She hated this. How could reapers doing anything without their weapons? What kind of school was this that didn't allow for a basic need? She groaned and hung her head. At least she didn't have to worry about minipets as she wasn't to terribly close to hers. She never really got close to flesh and blood things, which could be her problem.
The other students all seemed as upset as she was or even worse. A cat looking boy seemed to freak out rather badly at the thought of being on water. Well that seemed pretty natural but he looked so upset. Lilura got up from her seat and wandered over to Nightengale.
"Hey, it will be ok. Maybe someone will let you be near them if you are scared. I'm Lilura, what boat are you on?"

If the lecture wasn't as dull as it was, with obvious disinterest from Arel, then receiving the letter that had the boat assignments on and the randomness of this field trip just made it worse. He frowned, reading over the names. He wasn't going to be on the same boat with Bella, they were on the boats furthest away from each other... This sucked. It would be forever until they saw each other again. At this the boil sighed, looking up from the paper to see Bella making her way through people who no doubt weren't on her boat and she wished they were, when she finally came to him.
Hugging her back, it was almost short lived as she made her way past him and to the doors with the faint warmth from the peck still lingering on spot. He put his hand over it then waved a little before she completely left, feeling like his ship was already sinking... Then followed on after. He couldn't even take Airi... She would be so mad at him for leaving her behind. At least Lilura would be on the same boat, the rest he didn't know too well.
Well this was going to be fun! If you weren't counting the sarcasm in the thought. He made his way back to his dorm, not like he needed to pack much to begin with.

Gabrian had arrived late to the lecture hall, but he maintained it was in no way, shape or form his fault. Right before the demon had gotten ready to leave his room after finding the summoning note at the bottom of his water tank (stupid gnomes!), he'd noticed his floresce had gone missing. Again. This wouldn't have been a bad thing if he'd known the creature was inside the closet, which he was almost entirely sure he wasn't. He was deeply concerned over the fact the damned pet had started to go missing at random intervals of time, usually coming back looking like he'd gotten into a fight, but looking way too happy about for this to have been a possibility. Unless the floresce got off on fighting or something, which the demon highly doubted, given the fact LW, his ghoulfriend, was most accurate when she nicknamed the pet 'little charmer'.
Having given up on finding the pet though, the nix had finally left his room and had entered the rather crowded auditorium just as Arel came on stage. That meant that rather than finding a seat, he was forced to stand up near the back, with whatever other late comers. His eyes rested on the secretary as he called out the rules and mentioned the assignments of the boats before... pretty much exiting stage right, never bothering to answer any questions anyone might have had pertaining the trip.
Wow. Well, that had been most unhelpful. And boring, actually. Rather than voice this though, the demon finally turned his head away from the stage and began to scan the crowd. He spotted a familiar red head, peeking over the sea of students, right by another rather familiar, blond head, just up ahead; the redhead's position and height pretty much meant she was using a certain gryphon's lap as her current perch, and Gabrian couldn't help but shake his head in mock sorrow. Some of the students were leaving, while some remain, so he decided to make his way towards his friends, moving through the sea of students until he reached the row of seats directly behind both Ren and LW, "So," he drawled as he leaned over the back of the seat next to the gryphon, "Should I be worried that I find one of you on top of the other more often than is probably entirely natural? I feel slightly left out and abandoned," the tone of his voice indicated he was entirely aware there was nothing going on at the current moment though, and that his words were merely meant in jest.
Using his arms to pillow his head, Gabrian finally turned to look down at the handout he'd received which he hadn't yet had the time to peek at. Apparently, he was stuck on boat two with a bunch of people he didn't really know. The only names he recognized were Alwine, from the scarentine auction, Arachne, from the tarot reading she'd offered him, and of course... Ren. He recognized Rosciel's name from a couple of classes too, but he'd never really stopped to talk to the boil. Then again, if the Christmas Raid had taught him anything, it was that in these sort of trips, one pretty much ended up having to rely and trust one's group mates. As such, he made it a priority in his mind to at least get to know as many of the individuals on that boat as possible upon boarding, "I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the fact you ghouls are on entirely different boats. You have a rather... interesting habit of getting into trouble," this was murmured as he read the names on LW's boat, though after tossing the she-wolf a small look that basically said 'Don't make me have to jump overboard and climb up your boat during the trip, please,' he let out a soft sigh, "Do you reckon a guitar would be seen as a weapon? I really want to take mine with me."

The news that she couldn't bring R'lyeh along wasn't that much of a blow to Yui. Her little kobold, Sana, could keep her pets under control while she was gone and keep them cared for. And Sana, thankfully, understood that the other minipets were off limits for her own meals. And as for weapons... well, if she was forced into a fight, her teeth and jaws were natural weapons and she could hardly be expelled for them.
So. Glancing down at her list, she considered the names of those she'd be sharing boat-space with. Only two names stood out as recognizable: Jericho and Maladore. And while she didn't know either well, at least they were familiar. And who knows, she thought wryly to herself, this trip might give Maladore the time and opportunity to watch me cry rubies in the name of Science.
And that left.. what now? Her carry-on luggage. That was, by far, the easiest of the problems currently. Her clothing was all stuff that folded up nicely, she didn't really have any special requirements and as for the early boarding time... well. That was why she had an alarm clock, was it not?
Her only true regret was that she couldn't spend time with Merope on the boat. Though, perhaps when they got to wherever they were going? Well, she wouldn't get her hopes up too high. Instead, she sensibly went in search of the others she'd be spending time with. Starting with Jericho.

Once the initial shock of having to try and condense her wardrobe down into one travel-sized piece of luggage passed she glimpsed quickly over the sheet before lifting her gaze to glance around her immediate area. There were people talking everywhere, some amused, some distressed. They all clearly knew someone, or at least seemed to look like they did...
Well, all of them except for the dragon seated several seats away from her. She eyed him for a moment as though just staring would somehow convince him to come to her and when it didn't work she stood up, smoothing out her skirts while hoping her feathers weren't too ruffled before making her way over to him. "... You look about as thrilled by all of this as I do."
