Tamwyn Lysova mia loved1 god gave us a free will so we could have true love. he wouldnt tell them what to put down because thats not free will. the people that put all the works together were still sinners. one of them had allready betrayed jesus so what would stop another one from doing so by adding his own opinion? mai...have you ever actually READ the story of Jesus' betrayal, crusifixion, and resurrection? I know that sounds harsh. but, if you really had, we wouldnt be having this conversation. Judas did not act of his own accord. it says right in Luke 22:3-4, Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. and again in John 13:2, The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. As a Christian, or even a human being, You must come to terms with the fact there are forces at work amoung us beyond or comprehension or control*. While we do have** freewill, do you really think it is beyond GOD or SATAN's power to make us do things not of our own accord? In all reality, the entire matter is one of submission. Who do YOU submit to? every second of every day, you submit to either GOD, or SATAN. and the more you submit, the more they will work in, and through you. so you DO have free will, but that dosent mean that you will ALWAYS have full control over your actions, or that you CANNOT be possessed or controled by outside forces. The Writers of the Bible were submiting themselves to GOD, and through that submission, he moved through them and guided their words, thoughts and ideas. The bigger issue you are headed towards, or the actual name for the issue here, is Cannonocity. or what belongs in the bible. Contrary to common belief. the bible was not a book that was just thrown together. A "Communal Journal" so to speak, something that anyone could add to at will. There is a reason that the bible makes sense and works the way it does. Each and every book in the bible was CHOSEN with purpose, and with THOUSANDS of hours of prayer and consideration. Infact, there have been several instances where this has happened. I do not remember them all. Google or Wiki it. However, the books you find in the bible, are there because they have, through the mellenia, been proven to be TRUE and GOD BREATHED. There are MANY religious books that DID NOT make the bible, all becuse they were, through research, prayer, and the passing of time, shown to be without GOD's guidance in their creation. To be honest, i am still very new to the subject myself, and going any further would not only make a fool of myself, but of GOD and his reverant WORD. If you have any further questions on the subject, PM me and I would gladly get you in contact with people who are much more knowlagdable in the topic. * Through christ Jesus we are able to do such things, but even then, we are not the one controlling them, it is Christ. ** A much debated subject. Research "Calvinism vs. Arminianism" on the subject matter. With all humility and respect. Joe Legacy the bible doesn't allways make sence though. we're supposed to love everyone and respect them but suposted to hate gay people? that doesn't make sence to me. i supose theres nothing to talk to you further about. an opinion is an opinion, and you can't all ways change them. i will continue to love everyone equily and inturpert the bible in my own way; that all of us are created equel and that if we try to be good and ask for forgivness god will help us.

If something doesn't make sense to you: Ask. There are those here that would love to help you understand should you chose. As Christ taught, we are to love all people as much as He loved others. NEVER in all the Bible are we ever commanded to hate anyone. Christ considered hatred a kind of murder. If we have hated in our hearts against anyone, for any reason, we have (essentially) murdered them in our hearts. However, a word of caution. No one enters God's kingdom by being morally good. It is by believing in Christ's sacrifice and resurrection, and following in His footsteps that justifies and sanctifies us in God's eyes. If one does not take the Bible literally (with figures, idioms, simile, and metaphor in proper context of course), there is no other way to read it. Be Well

I don't really understand what you meant by this...I do not recall ever saying we should hate gay people....If i remember is said..."LOVE the SINNER...HATE the SIN" incase i was not clear enouth...that means...LOVE THE PERSON>DONT LOVE THEIR ACTIONS...perhaps that will provide a better understanding of the situation and as to PainkillerDV...they kicked you out due their sheer stupidity and failure to follow the teachings and examples of Christ. Their Pride got in the way of their calling. please excuse them...they know not what they do. My sincerest apologies...to both Angel and PainkillerDV. With the utmost respect and humility, Joseph Legacy

Apolegetics is a bad joke. All faiths can make connections in science. You should trust your faith and God regardless of proof or evidence of His existence. God is a greater power, and is proved through faith, not science.

I try not to worry about it too much. When it was discovered that the earth revolved around the sun, the church declared it heresy, and said it interfered with the Christian faith. Now, we believe that the Earth revolves around the sun, and God made it that way.
edit: I went to a Southern Baptist youth lock-in, and we were sitting there discussing and listining to Metallica and Katy Perry, and the Preacher were just sitting there nodding.

Science and God SO agree. I mean one example is, if "The Big Bang" could create something so complex as the human body, why did "it" not make it so people of the same gender could have a family? It just really doesn't make sense. OH WAIT. YEAH IT DOES. It wasn't God's will. Derp.

ghostobi Apolegetics is a bad joke. All faiths can make connections in science. You should trust your faith and God regardless of proof or evidence of His existence. God is a greater power, and is proved through faith, not science. "Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace." (Philippians 1:7) This testimony of the apostle Paul was followed by another: "I am set for the defense of the gospel" (Philippians 1:17). In both he is stressing the vital importance of defending the gospel. In the one he states his firm determination to defend the gospel; in the other, he reminds his fellow Christians that they also are participants in its defense. These facts are sufficient to show that the gospel does need defending by those who embrace it. The word "defense" is the Greek apologia, from which we derive our word "apologetics." It is a courtroom term, referring to the formal, carefully structured defense presented on behalf of a defendant by an attorney. In context, it speaks of a careful, scientific presentation of arguments defending the gospel from its enemies. The saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, encompassing His great works of creation, incarnation, atoning death, victorious resurrection, and coming kingdom, was under serious attack in Paul's day, as it is today. We urgently need to be prepared to give an effective apologetic wherever and whenever needed.
