He blinked at the proffered deal, torn between the desire for the feathers and his hatred of the surface. Especially he shallows near the shore. He warred back and forth, then finally, a feather catching his eye he nodded grimly. It would take WEEKS to look his best again after this. These feathers better be worth it.

"Wait! Into the water? You do realize I need air, yes?" Lian asked, worried. If he didn't know about Angeni and lived in the sea, it seemed logical to her that he might not realize she couldn't breathe under water.

He spun in the water, letting his short hair flair about his head. "Of course, everyone needs air, just take it from the water." How did she survive so long without knowing that?

She resisted the urge to smack her head against something. Her uncle was not going to be pleased with her if she didn't survive this mess. Taking a deep breath, she tried for patience. "I can't breathe underwater."
