Aurora could only nod his head, as each step forward took him further and further away from the only people he had ever known, but he seemed to be smitten by this new boy, overhwlemed witht he possibility of seeing new places. Surely they would understand?
"Yes we should make sure to be out of the forest before nightfall." he echoed .

"Yes that we should," said Kinnara. "I remeber seeing road not to far from here. I think it was north of here." He was some what sure that it was there. "I promise that I will get us out of here and we can start a new journey. Together."

Aurora blushed at Kinnara's bold and determined comment. But he didn't mind. His first friend seemed to be loyal and trust worthy. How could it not be fate that he had stumbeled across this strange boy?
Something tugged at his heart. It pained him, like a sharp pinprick to the skin. He tried to ignore it as it only passed in a fleeting way. Suddenly another one. His free hand went to his chest, and his breathing became heavy. The further out they went they could see patches of white snow littering the ground. The air around them was getting cooler by the moment.
As he breathed out he could see his breath, but something was trying to tell him to turn a bit to the right. Something was calling him there.
"Ki.." he started but felt the tight pain in his chest, it cut off his words for a moment. "Kinnara i think we should go that way." pointing just to the right of their current angle.
