Kyree stared blankly at her, letting a few long minutes pass by. She opened her mouth to speak, and for a moment, nothing came out. "I would ask what those reasons were, question your sanity, and tell you you'd get killed by the first demon that spotted you." Kyree gave her a worried look and thanked herself she didn't bring her headset, otherwise Langkston's words would've been heard by all workers and servants of the Lord.

Langkston had known it was a mistake to tell her. But it was to late to take it back. "Well maybe I could try to help my father and the demons Lord regain peace." She realized that they had never had peace and corrected herself. "Well.. gain peace." The lie didn't sound outrageous, but she knew it wasn't either of the reasons.

"We've never had peace with them. I doubt we ever will.." Kyree ruffled her short black hair. "So say I let you sneak into the Gates of Fire. How would you even get in? Or not be spotted?"

Langkston was shocked to hear Kyree even considering this. She blinked. "A disguise perhaps?" She realized how stupid the idea was, but couldn't think of anything better

Kyree jumped up. "I have the perfect thing! Last year for the costume party I was a demon! How ironic!" she snapped her fingers and then appeared a costume on Langkston's bed. Kyree smiled as she studied the outfit. "Let's see, there are contacts to make your eyes red. There's a devil tail. Do demons even have tails? I think this costume is stereotypical." she lifted the red silk dress. "You would look gorgeous in this." Kyree smiled at her. "I can't believe I'm agreeing to this."

The smile on Langkston's face spread wider. She couldn't resist, and wrapped Kyree in a tight hug. :Oh Kyree." Words weren't even manageable now. She felt awful for feeling like she couldn't trust her before. "Actually, there's more you should know." she said releasing her from the hug.

Kyree returned the embrace. "I'm always here for you. You can tell me anything, sweets." Kyree smiled, showing her perfectly lined white teeth.

Langkston sat back down on the bed and patted the spot next to her for Kyree to sit. "It's a long story, you may want to sit." She told Kyree of the dreams she had, how she swore she saw the mysterious man at council but convinced herself she was dreaming, and how this whole plan was to prove to herself she was right. That he was real. And most importantly, that she was sane.

Kyree listened intently through the whole thing, never interrupting her and giving her all her focus. "I remember seeing the recording of the council meeting. This boy you dream of was with the demon who stood up when he was simply the one who records things. Correct?" she didn't wait for an answer. "I've heard he's a dangerous man. I know every single demon that roams down in that world. And him, he's surprisingly powerful. The demons themselves turned him, he wasn't born a demon. Demons donated their powers just to turn him. He was only fourteen then." Kyree grew worried. "Maybe you should get down there before I change my mind." She tried changing the subject.

So this mysterious man was real. So many emotions flooded through her now. She was afraid to do this alone, but loved and respected Kyree too much to ask her to come along. And then Langkston made a terrible mistake. She cried. Angels don't cry, it just isn't possible. Kyree will surely tell her father now. And as much as he hates her right now, she'll be sentenced to death for being different.

Kyree jumped off the bed as soon as the wet things flooded out of Langkston's eyes. "Are you..crying?" Kyree took a step to her and had a confused look on her face.

Langkston choked on her words. Nothing came out but more sobbing sounds and tears. "Go ahead." she said in between tears. "Tell my father. Tell anyone. Just get it over with!"

Kyree immediately felt bad for her reaction. "Oh, sweety. Why would I tell anyone?" she knelt down and wiped away the tears that laid on Langkston's cheeks. "You need to get ready, okay? I'll help you."

"You're...you're not telling?" She was scared. She wasn't sure if she should truly trust her. She stood and walked over to her dresser. "But I'm a freak!" She screamed, knocking everything on top of the dresser off. More tears came and she fell to a crumbled mess on the floor.

"Langkston, you're making too much noise! Someone will hear and come in." Kyree lifted Langkston up. "You're not a freak. There are more angels who have hidden that they're not true angels. You're not the only one. They're just too scared to show it because they don't want to be sent to the world of Outcasts or the Gates of Fire..or even death." Kyree handed her a lacy tissue. She was never good at dealing with people's emotions, mostly because it wasn't common for her at all. Kyree glanced out the window, seeing that the sun was going down quickly. "It's almost night." she said, her way of saying we need to pick things up.
