"Heh." It was a one word response to Acacia's observation on Tambrey's lack of ability when it came to deception. Tambrey knew she sometimes struggled with such a skill and it seriously worried her about the performance she gave as a Team Rocket Grunt. If she couldn't lie properly, how long would it be before she blew a cover or let out something she shouldn't? It was something, a true worry, that she was determined to become better at and something she didn't like people to notice or find out, but for now her focus remained mostly upon the grunt in front of her. 'Scrubbed herself raw' echoed again in her head. It wasn't so much pity as true concern that prompted her thoughts or guided her actions; she found she couldn't pity Ace, even though she'd known her just a short time. This was a friend and a friend deserved a 'proper' emotion like concern. She listened carefully, eyes flicking to Acacia's hands as appropriate but remainly mostly in contact with the pale woman's red gaze. The bookish grunt had heard much jesting over the subject of OCD and even read a little on the subject out of curiosity, but she was a little bit unsure of how the disorder was best handled; she'd read a tiny snippet about 'treatment being available', but she knew little of the specifics. "W-well, I know that it's supposed to be impossible to control without help, but, uh, there is help... like treatments available, right?" She was sure that Acacia would know a lot more on the subject than she could think of. "And... ya can always ask someone... like me, for one... if there was something I could do to help." It was about all she could think to offer; it was sincere and she felt a little glad to offer it even if she wasn't sure how she -could- help.
She was glad to move onto that made the other woman smirk and smile again, though her own cheeks felt the flush of red spread over them once more as the stomach rumble was properly fussed over. "No, no. As wonderful as your snacks probably would be, I'd not want to eat before the main meal. Being this hungry is a good thing- it'll mean I'll properly appreciate the meal as food as well as taste." Tam' smiled, then laughed sheepishly at the next part. "Ya know... I actually don't really know how I'd act drunk... I mean. Honestly," She paused, figeted and fussed for a moment "It's only happened the once before- me being drunk I mean. I got in so much trouble... Oh my. If we ended up in bed..." She smirked and shook her head, not taking the statement further- she was still a bit unsure of how she was reading things. The bookish grunt reminisced and then blinked as Acacia inquired after her mother. "Eeh. Um. She's... nice? 'Homely', I'd guess ya'd call her, but... she does have a temper when appropriate. Not... Not much for ambition." The grunt admitted after a moment, regretfully, then nodded. "Her eyes are different; more brown. She doesn't wear glasses, except for driving. But, otherwise yes; I've been said to look just like her. We do not dress the same though." She chewed her bottom lip, then nodded again. "Sometimes. I... find a payphone and give her a call, send a letter- stuff like that. Not often at all though. She.." A pause followed and a very slight guilty smile "She thinks I'm doing some travelling. Like a late pokemon journey or... a really long work experience quest."

Acacia fell into silence, yer soft crimson hues locked solely onto the vivid pools of evergreen in front of her. Drawing her hands up the frail built woman inspected the injuries as she toyed with the offered words, the smirk set on her face waned with a touch of a frown pulling at one corner.
“I actually, never thought of it as a problem. So I have actually never looked into treatments and things of that nature,” lowering her hands, thin digits resting on the glossed tabletop. “There is a few things that help though---um---Ampule can snap me outta it sometimes, I think he is temped to chomp on my leg when I am unresponsive, my poor little guy. I don't think he understands fully, all I know is he gets really upset. Uh, music also helps,” casually explained Acacia in a low neutral tenor. “normally when I am in my dorm I have my mp3 player in one ear so I resist the urge to randomly just get up and wash my hands. Um---if you shake me or physically pull me away from washing my hands I will stop. If you see me starting to over-wash my hands just,” she sighed lightly. “give me nudge or tell me to knock it off. I think that could really help.”
'Oh my. If we ended up in bed... How can she just leave it at that? I couldn't read that at all...so much for hints...I'm not going to get anywhere at this rate. Gawd I bet she is straight, everyone is freaking straight. Even the cute, bookworms are straight. Dammit, why can't I be her apple of temptation. You fail, Acacia. You fail at life, you fail at being you.'
Dragging the wine flute from the table back towards her lips Acacia took a long deep gulp of the pale fluid, the sweet crisp full bodied flavor soothed her nerves and coerced her tongue into conversation once again. “I look like my mommy too, but her hair is darker more blonde than white. And she has blue eyes. I got my eyes from my father. And my stupid grin. That is all daddy. But thank gawd I got most of my looks from my mom.” A long paused stiffed the air, a tension settling uneasily. Lifting her glass to her lips she drained the goblet and pulled the flute away from her mouth a clear haze beginning to form behind her eyes. Not yet drunk but a steady buzz claiming her senses.
“Dinner---right---dinner should be ready---um---lets go---check on it---sides' if I don't eat soon I am gonna be the one getting tipsy. Not a very attractive of me.” Laughing as she pushed away from the table the slender woman stood then clumsily toddled from side to side before regaining her balance, carefully Acacia ambled over to Tambrey and pulled her chair out with the refined grace of a gentlewoman. Helping the dark-haired researcher to her feet with tender movements the slim built pixie of a woman lead the other female into the kitchen. Peeking over her shoulder towards Tambrey the crimson eyed grunt chortled then snorted yet again, yet this time she didn't seem to cover embarrassing sound.
“Tamie, why don't you set up the table. And I will get all of the plates ready, presentation is a key factor into the dinning experience. If the food is less than superb sometimes the way it is placed on the plate can make up for the lack of taste. I really hope that won't be the case. But regardless as your teacher I must insist on serving you.”

"I can see how, when it's just something you'd do, you might be seeing it as normal, and thus not a problem... But, Ace, you rubbed your skin until it bled." Tam' noted softly, listening, but still a little concerned; kind, if worried smile still gracing her lips.
She listened, nodding a little as Acacia explained the problem and the things that might knock her out of doing things like over-washing and hurting herself. "Ah. But no music and Ampule in his ball meant very few distractions or prompts in that kitchen... That door made it basically a trap," The bookish researcher glanced at it, almost though she was somewhat annoyed the door was there to block off the room beyond. "Right. Well, we can solve that easy enough for today. The next time you go into the kitchen for anything, or anywhere else during this meal time then I'll come in with you. It's no effort at all and I'd rather make sure you aren't zoned out at the sink injuring yourself."
As the slim medic drank from her wine, the action coerced Tambrey into doing the same, finishing her sip just as Acacia began to talk and describe her mother and father and the traits she'd gotten from the pair of them. "Well... I rather like your smile and your eyes really are wonderful, but I think I'll agree with you if you got the rest of your looks from your mother; still say you're definitely hot." Again Tam' found herself drinking when Acacia did, but this time she didn't fully copy and drain her own glass, instead taking a long sip before she stood with the aid of her friend's chair-pulling skills. "I don't know; tipsy could be cute." Tam' teased and noted as she rose, before following after the other grunt; the snort of laughter once again quirking her lips up into a little grin.
"Set the table. Got it." She replied, throwing out a little salute. Of course, she had no clue when it came to fine dining and the correct placement of cutlery in higher class settings, but she could place a knife, fork, spoon and napkin in a way that didn't look untidy.

For a few moments the words that the dark-haired researcher spoke came off as lecturing but the worry behind green eyes allowed Acacia to remain poised though a strange sense of guilt near immobilize her. Waves of fuzzy mirth quickly lulled away the odd feeling that the words elicited from the svelte young woman, the alcohol as hitting her system a bit too quickly but the rationality of the matter was already a notion left behind at the bottom of her empty wine glass.
Blood rushed to the alabaster cheeks setting the pale skin on fire with various hues of rose and scarlet, gripping a stack of plates Acacia could only manage a small embarrassed giggle for a few moments as Tambrey complimented her yet again; the quirky salute volcanically erupted another high pitched piglet like snort.
“You are so cute, Tamie! And I am not hot, not at all. I haven't even had my first kiss yet. And I am almost thirty---okay---like almost half-way to thirty! Bust still! The point stands, if I was really attractive someone would have already locked lips with me. Ya know?” Shamelessly blathered the white-haired rather airily, lapsing into a giggle Acacia tried to focus on pulling the bubbling Asian infused ratatouille from the three-hundred and fifty degree oven. A muffled 'ooh' escaped from cerise tinted lips as heated waves of garlic and ginger rolled like invisible plumes of lava from the ajar door, the scent was intoxicating; complex diversity interwoven with the subtle undertones of earthen majesty.
Carefully sliding the tray from the rack Acacia lifted the dish and placed it onto the stove top, it looked radiant, the colorization vibrant and unique. It took effort to steady her hands long enough to arrange the steaming vegetables, straining and focusing until the plates looked like master pieces; almost too pretty to eat. Nodding with approval the wisp of a woman lined the platters up then brought them out to the table wearing a large wolfish grin. Palu's and Ampule's plates were decorated with escargot and caviar yet Tambrey's plate was the one that stood out the most, fresh springs of greens and pinon elegantly highlighted the ratatouille that was set a top a sculpted mound of lime cilantro couscous.
Setting the plates down Acacia smirked towards Tambrey and pulled out her chair again. “Ampule is gonna be grumpy that I am waking him up, but we will sit down as a family----no----no that isn't the term---um---we will sit down as a whole.” Flicking hand across her pokeball the white-haired medic summoned her companion and shook her head as he rested on the cold tile soundly still resting.
“Oh...”

"But... pleny of people haven't had a proper kiss yet, Ace, and come on, I don't think you're actually all that much older than me... And if you are, then you don't look it 'cuz you're hot. Don't need to have had someone kiss you before do proove whether you're hot or not... You're kissable, honestly; I'll bet its just that no one's been brave 'nough to do it yet..."
The bookworm spent only little time finding some paper cloth to double as napkins should they be wanted, along with eating utensils for the two trainers. All the while she kept one hand occupied with her wine glass, sipping down until she was nearly finished once more.
Tambrey grinned, working quickly enough as she arranged cutlery around the places. She wrinkled her nose a little, trying to remember whether Acacia had said which hand she favoured to eat with. The dark-haired grunt actually spent a few moments softly chewing on her bottom lip trying to remember if Ace had mentioned it, but failing to remember any mention, the grunt found herself arranging the eating equipement above (closer to the cnter of the table) where the plates would be placed.
"Ooh! It looks so good!" Tam' exclaimed, and sniffed too as it was placed on the table. "Smells too good not to eat and looks too good to eat. I guess I'll just have to shut my eyes when we do." Tam' smiled as she sat, then gulped the last from her wine glass.
"Oh, when he sees it's food like this, I'm sure he'll forgive ya right off? And, no, I think ya had it right off from the beginning kinda? Because, like you said, you came to be part of a group and our pokemon are part of our family really anyway... So, though it's Team Rocket, that's kind of a family right?" She left off to watch as Ampule was released still snoozing from his pokeball. "Aaw..." Tambrey beamed happily at the little croc' then held up Palu's pokeball, clicking to release the bird. "Palu'll wake him up if ya want?"

“I'm not hot Tamie, no matter what you say I don't believe it. And it is okay I will wake him up myself just in case he is in a chomp mood.”
Nudging Ampule with her toe the light-haired received a small whine in retort from the Big Jaw pokemon as he rolled and wriggled, sniffing at the air for a few moments with his large red eyes closed the blue pudgy crocodile forced himself to sit up while rubbing his eyes. “Todi, dile? Dile!” Merrily exclaimed Ampule as he saw Tambrey, grinning toothily at the bookish grunt the little water-type stood up and rushed to the woman.
“Aw, I think he is happy to see you, sweetie. This is the longest I have kept company without having them run off---or visa versa,” simply stated Acacia as she wrapped her arms around the shorter woman and giggled into her neck as she staggered and caught herself, as if it were nothing for her to be faltering in footstep. “Sorry---sorry---just--- lost my balance.” Nuzzling against the soft black tresses of the smaller woman's hair Acacia grinned and toddled backwards again almost loosing her footing in the action.
“Taaaa? Totodile! Dile---dile---toda.” Ampule shrieked loudly as his trainer nearly fell then took a deep breath and sighed as she caught herself, shaking his head the little water-type pointed sternly towards a chair and narrowed his eyes.
“Fine, fine. I will sit down. I will sit down. Don't rupture a blood vessel, my angel,” muttered the white-haired pixie as she sat beside her friend and giggled into her hand loudly. “You get to eat too Ampule, you get a special dinner tonight--- cause we are a family---you, Palu, Tamie, and me. We are Rockets! And that makes us family.” Another giggle erupted from her mouth as she refilled her friend's glass then her own. Setting the wine down Acacia then lifted a bottle of water and poured it into the extra glass and the bowl.
“I think we are all set. Do you say grace Tamie? If you do, um...that is fine---”
'I guess I'll just have to shut my eyes when we do.'
Silently mused Acacia, out of context it was a sentence that she enjoyed to ponder. What else would Tambrey enjoy doing with her eyes closed, another dark set blush claimed her pale skin as she stared down at her plate then turned to the researcher.
“Tamie, you did a wonderful job on this, it looks gorgeous. Just like you. I wonder if it tastes as good as you look. I could totally eat you all up. Mmm.”

"Hrrm." Tambrey tilted her head as she watched Acacia in the process of waking up the little Totodile. "Ya know," She ventured through a smirk "Saying you don't or won't believe me won't make me stop saying such things. I'll just have to spring them on you when you aren't expecting them or can't reply or something; and say it differently and/or often enough that you start to accept it." She fell silent then, smiling somewhat goofily to watch the blue pokemon wake up.
"He-ey Ampule," Tambrey greeted the croc', reaching down with one hand to offter a quick petting to the Totodile's head, goofy smile remained present as now both her new friends were awake. She tilted her head up to look back after Acacia had, apparently, just fallen into nuzzling her hair. She didn't seem bothered at all by that, though she did seem worried as the taller grunt then proceeded to stagger backward.
"Careful!" Tambrey chirped, in unison with the first part of Ampule's warning shrieks, though her worried look became smile once more after witnessing Acacia's reaction to the little water type. "I think it'll save us both a heart attack if you sit and eat, yes." She fell silent to listen to what Ace said next, grinned at the last of the family speech and then held up the pokeball again, taking her finger from the release mechanism finally. "Just the one of us missing now."
A glow of red light and a happy warble heralded Palu's re-emergence from her pokeball; the bird pokemon had clearly awoken at some point, and was very happy to be released once more and to see company. She circled the table twice before coming to land not far from Ampule. "Pi-ohtoh!"
"No, I don't say grace... Uh. I'm just... not religious in anything really. But if you do, then please I'm not going to be offended or stop you or anything. I may not be very spiritual, but I can respect the rituals that people might have..."
She didn't quite catch the all of the more quietly spoken words, but perhaps she got the drift; a slight blush coloured her cheeks yet again, though that could simply have been from the compliment. "High praise from the actual chef."

“Hey regardless of how many times you say it I am not gonna believe you until I get a kiss, plain and simple,” Acacia mirthfully chuckled. “...” A moment passed by as the white-haired grunt seemed to space out then giggled yet again. “I'm not religious either, I don't believe in anyone if they won't allow my kind into Their heaven,” a drunken mumble rushed from her pale pink lips rather candidly, her brightly colored red eyes hazed over making the normally pretty glimmer dull and lack luster. “Pfft, it isn't like I did much Tamie, you actually did near everything if you think about it. You cut the veggies, you made the puree, you assembled the dish and you set the table. All I did was cook some onions and tofu. You did everything, really you did.” Sweetly buttered and complimented the slender figured woman as her hand found Tambrey's knee and gave it an affectionate squeeze before retracting her hand. Cheering loudly the barrel bodied water-type snuggled against the large feathered pokemon as she took roost beside him. “ Dile, di di di di di ta toda dile! Happily greeted Ampule in retort to the Pidgeotto. Snuggling against downy plumage the pudgy blue totodile pulled away slowly then toothily smirked towards his friend, waving his clawed hands around wildly Ampule giggled excitedly as he looked down towards his plate and began to stuff his nails into his drooling maw. “ Taaaaaaaa.... He knew better than to eat until he was given permission. “Well now that we are all here,” Acacia drawled in a mid-ranged pitch, her words seemed to be bubbly and airy, almost jubilant in nature as she spoke. “I hope that you enjoy your food Palu, you have some pretty fancy stuff on your plate, escargot and caviar. I really hope that you like it. A beautiful smart bird like you deserves the very best, as does your trainer. I can't wait to take care of both of you the way you deserve.” Hic Hic Hic Hic! Blushing deeply the slim figured woman buried her face into her hands before lightly muttering. “Lets all eat.”

Tambrey reached to stroke at the hand before it was retracted, aiming to caress the pale wrist gently as she looked down, at first somewhat surprised by the hand upon her knee; it was a pleasant gesture, she found- rather reassuring.
"Oh, I am sure you will get a kiss sooner rather than later," The dark-haired grunt reassured. "And then I will look forward to hearing you admit that I'm right and you are hot. Once you have that kiss, ya'll have lost that excuse to protest y'are not." She grinned and then shook her head, with an inquisitive look. "Your kind?" She prompted than shook her head again. "I... just don't really find the notion of religion to be an attractive one." She then listened, smirked and waved a hand at the idea of having done all the cooking. "No, no. I think it's more special if we can call this a joint effort." Another grin "I may have done my fair share of the cooking and prep', but it really was under your direction and supervision and I couldn't have known what I was doing without you to make sure it was all going right, hm?"
Palu coo'd happily as her friend snuggled her feathers and she turned her head to scratch his softly with her beak in affection. While Ampule drooled over his plate, she cast a keen eye over her offerings and found herself very impressed. She was even more pleased as she heard Acacia's praise and compliments directed toward her and found herself puffing up and holding her head high- feathers preened and puffed to display just how right Acacia was in believing her to be such an important bird. The Pidgeotto seemed highly pleased that someone had recognised that she should be fed something befitting of her, clearly high-class, status. "Piidge! Pidgeotto!"
"Don't get used to it; can't have this every night, but enjoy it- Ace made it especially for you, so remember to be grateful." Tambrey tried not to sound like she was scolding the bird, not that Palu actually took any notice of her anyway. She was focusing on the plate before her, also waiting only for the command to tuck in. Tambrey was still a little blushing from Acacia's words as the slim, light-haired medic began to make a series of quick little noises. The bookworm blinked, watching with a surprised little smirk. '/Cute/' She found herself staring and then blinked as the other woman declared they should eat.
"Oh. Uh. Yes." She beamed "Time to eat before it gets cold." Still blushing a tiny bit, and with thoughts of the day's events thus far going back and forth in her head, Tam' put her cutlery to action upon the cuisine in front of her, beaming with pleasure at the first mouthful.

The tender stroking that her friend administered against her wrist caused a chill to ease down her back, giggling again Acacia leaned sharply towards Tambrey and gave the researcher a friendly peck on the cheek. “You are too sweet, and yes. We did this together. It does make it a bit more special doesn't it? Mm.” Pulling away Acacia laughed sweetly while smirking broadly revealing her dazzling white teeth, blinking slightly the rookie chef glanced at Palu's proclamation then wrinkled her nose as the dark-haired woman commented.
“Oh come now Tamie, she can get used to the food all she wants. As long as I am here and as long as we are friends I will gladly spoil both of you.” The inflection in her tone once again changed so that she sounded much like Sherlock Holmes, glancing towards her water-type companion the white-haired wisp nodded at him; within a moment of the silent command Ampule squealed with utter delight and began to scoop handfuls of vegetables and snails into his snapping jaws.
Lifting her own cutlery with her left hand Acacia glanced over to her dark-haired friend while trying to spot what hand she used, she had a suspicion that the researcher was left hand as well but she wasn't completely sure of the matter. Cutting into the ratatouille with her knife and fork elegantly and with poise Acacia lifted the first bit to her mouth and lightly moaned.
“Wow...this....is something we will have to make again Tamie, it is really good. Next time I am buying bean sprouts for it too!”
