"Exactly," Adonis chuckled. "Quite, quite glad, for the sake of my own life. Though I'm sure I could never annoy you so much." He flashed a slightly coneceited smile, though only jokingly.
Adonis grew solemn again soon, though. "I suppose that is true, about your parents, that is. You're clearly quite well-off without them, at any rate." Adonis couldn't help but admire that in the strong vixen. He didn't know what he would have done, as a kit, had he been in her position. It just wasn't in his nature.

She rolled her shoulders at his comments, nodding. "No use dwelling on what isn't there." She mused dryly, scanning his side. He seemed talkative, at least he wasn't in to much pain. Quickly, she rose, tapped her necklace to see if it was still on her neck, and moved to circle him.
"Does this hurt?" She asked, poking him with a paw roughly. It wouldn't help him if she babied him, he needed to know if he had additonal pain he hadn't mentioned or noticed before so he could receive proper care.
"Never asked, but do you have a tribe we can take you to?"

Adonis accepted her end to the conversation, and just watched quietly as Tithe stood and suddenly began circling him. He was about to question it when she suddenly poked him with her paw. "Ah, hey!" Adonis exclaimed in surprise. "That was..." Slightly tender. But Adonis didn't want to worry her about it. The area was probably just sore. "Uncalled for." He finished instead.
Adonis thought about his father's tribe at her question, but he didn't know many of the other tribe members, and who knew whether his father was actually on the grounds at the time or not. No, it was best not to go there. He just shook his head and said, "No, I'm in no tribe."
[Now to the lifemating thread? Then the breeding of Mali's?]

((Yes, can you set it up, pwease? I used my breedings up and I hate setting up life-mating, lol. Please?))
She laughed at his response, shaking her head at the boy. "To bad." She mused, nodding to his second statement. Carefully, she approached him, smirking slyly, and licked his cheek.
Ah, Tithe was broken.
"There, to reward you for letting me poke you." With this, she stretched, yawned, and shrugged. "I belong to a tribe, for now. I suppose. Never liked tribes much but....ehh"

Adonis was slightly, yet pleasantly shocked when he felt her lick his cheek. He couldn't suppress the smile that appeared, not that he really tried to. "Um, thanks," he said, in a bit of a daze. "Good reward..."
Shaking it off a bit, though with a slight smile still on his face, he asked, "Oh, which tribe? Know anyone in it?" Perhaps Tithe had somehow found and decided to join his father's tribe, Kurai, without knowing his own connections to it. Coincidences happen, after all.

Flicking her tail, she glanced over at him. "It's a teaching tribe called Orestes." She said. She surprised herself with that bit of information constantly. She wasn't a teacher in her head, she wasn't even someone that joined tribes. It had been a whim joining that one, and so far she hadn't regret it. Some of her best choices had been whims. Like meeting Adonis. Was that a "best" choice? Possibly.
Glancing over at Adonis, she flicked her tail to the other side. "I am a hunter there but also a teacher. I teach others the ways of hunting and some other small abilities." She as a bounty hunter years ago, she had plenty of skills to teach.

Ah, definitely not his father's tribe then, Adonis noted. He hadn't heard of a tribe like that before. The thought of such a tribe was definitely interesting. "Sounds like it suits you well," he said, remembering that whole bounty hunter occupation of hers. Even the concept of her teaching didn't seem too strange when considering her relationship with Nana.

She eyed Adonis blankly, then away. "I suppose soon you'll go home, won't you?" Absently her tail flicked violently, as if annoyed with this thought. "Until then, you're stuck with me. Seeing as you are still stumbling about." A smirk rose on her lips, slightly, and she sat beside him, paws length away.
What was with her? Did she desire Adonis to stay? Here? Or stay with her? Pfft. She had never taken to a male before....why ever now? That was stupid! Like she could take a man as her.... her? He stayed quiet, looking away.
Really... what was wrong with her?

"Home?" Adonis repeated, slightly confused. "Hm, I suppose it would be nice to return to the caves. But considering the fact that I am still stimbling about, it'd be impratical. Besides, haven't really been there in a while, I've been travelling, you know." Adonis tilted his head from side to side a few times, examining Tithe a bit. Her tail was moving around behind her. A lot. He wondered if something was bothering her.
"Kind of sounds like you're stuck taking care of me, then," he said with a small chuckle. "Frankly, I see no point in returning home, especially if it means giving up your company. You're an interesting vixen, Tithe, and I enjoy sticking around and making sure you and Desmon don't kill each other. Only way I can be sure of that is if I'm here all the time."

Her eyes flicked over to look at him, tail twitching at the tip. "What?" Looking at him like he was crazy, the ex-bounty hunter touched a tail ring, head tilting. "You like my company? You strange, strange boy." Though, she seemed somewhat...pleased. She rolled her eyes, flopped down beside him, and poked his side.
"Does that hurt?" She asked, eying him. She should probably find something to amuse him with, now, but Tithe was never used to the being social thing. She was used to trying to eat Desmon's heart up and protecting Nana.

Chuckling, Adonis said, "It's not so odd. I'm sure Nana and... Perhaps deep down Desmon, both feel the same way." Well, Adonis was pretty sure Desmon felt a number of at least slightly applicable feelings deep down, but who knew with that 'Daeva. Who knew with any of them, really. The three were still a bit of a mystery to Adonis, but that's what he liked about them the most.
TIthe's poke in his side pulled Adonis out of his thoughts. It hurt much less this time, thankfully. "No," Adonis replied. "I'm much less sore now."

With a flick of her tail Tithe nodded, glancing to the side. "Alright." She said, absent minded for a second. The vixen glanced over at him again, flicking her adorned tail so it whapped a nearby tree.
"You know," She drawled. "If you spend to much time with me girls will shy away. Or boys, depending on what you like. I tend to repel others." Which she didn't mind, she liked her alone time. Unless it was Nana, sometimes Desmon, she enjoyed harassing him. Then there was Adonis... she liked his company... too. Hn, she was going soft, wasn't she?
"And then how will you have kids and then annoying grandkids and possibly have to fight off suitors for your young? I could show you some moves."

Despite all of Tithe's comments and questions, Adonis was silent for a moment. He examined the vixen with curious eyes, still trying to figure her out a bit more. "You know, if I didn't know any better," he began slowly, "I'd think you were trying to repel me."
Adonis allowed that statement to hang in the air for a few moments as he returned to his thoughts, and his thoughts about her. He was suddenly overcome with an urge to say something -- but how best to word it? Mentally weighing his options, Adonis finally decided. "Well first, I definitely do prefer a vixen to just any old fox," he stated, smirking slightly. This didn't last for too long, as he grew serious again. "Second, who's to say that if I spend all my time with you, and other girls do shy away, I still can't wind up with kids and grandchildren, and annoying suitors? I don't think it'll be necessary for you to show me any moves if you have enough reasons to fight them all off yourself."

"I'm not trying to repel you." She said, just a little quicker than she had intended. She watched him as he thought, tail lazily flicking side to side, then halting.
"Well, fine, women." She clicked back. "Either way, my statement still sta-" She was cut off briefly, glowing red eyes the only hint that she was caught off guard, widening slightly. What? She flipped through his words once more, usually she was an expert at finding second meanings in words and yet.... No. Her ear flicked, deciding to throw aside her current speculation on what the meaning had been. No. He wasn't an idiot, he wouldn't possibly feel that way. He was a smart boy, he knew she was hardly the type that could be seen in that....way.
Yet she couldn't just shove it aside. For a second her breath betrayed her, halting. Was she...hopeful? s**t. She was getting in over her head. Her. Tithe. "And what reason would that be?" Did she want to be proved right? No. She wanted... ah s**t. Desmon was going to mock her about this later.

"Tithe. How would you feel if I said I wanted to be your mate?"
Adonis could have beat around the bush for a little longer, but his curiosity got the better of him, and the fox opted to be straightforward and open. He watched her expression closely, doubting himself in every way. As more time passed, he worried that he had misread every signal he thought she had given him. But even so, that didn't change his own feelings about her. What was there to like about him, though? Sure, he helped her out a bit, and was always around. Maybe she found that annoying.
Taking a deep breath, Adonis pulled himself out of his thoughts and turned his attention back to Tithe, still awaiting a response.
