"No one will find out.... I can promise that. My parents are always busy. The last time I saw my dad was about a year ago. He does a lot of political stuff in the northern parts of the country. Mom's in the hospital right now too... so it's just you, me, and a few maids in the house."

Yuki gave her a smile, but was still uncomfortable, what if his sister found them...Yuki shook his dark thoughts away and hugged Corinne.

Corinne shook her head, "It's not about protecting me... You haven't a clue as to why I bought you. I wanted someone who could....." Corinne shut her mouth and looked away, "Forget it. If I say anymore you'll just force yourself to be like that. Let's go inside, I'm hungry."

Yuki quietly obeyed, he knew he had made her mad, but what else could he do? He sighed softly to himself, if only she knew how much he really cared for her, not even as a slave. More so as a man, if that sounded at all right. Yuki clenched his fists as the ice rink that seemed to be perfect, crashed into small bits and pieces, like his ice cold heart that he could never unlock. He was practically incapable of loving, he had nothing to offer.

Corinne sighed as they stepped into the kitchen, "Can you cook? it's fine if you can't... I can make simple stuff....." She asked quietly. It was awkward now, horribly awkward for her and she didn't like it. Her sentences were just to fill space and she prayed that Yuki didn't notice.

Yuki murmured a soft yes that was barely audible. He made his way to the refrigerator and without turning back, asked, "What would you like to eat Corinne?" His tone was the same softness and politeness he usually used, but it seemed fake. He had no kind emotions behind his wording. It was a bland question.

Corinne immediately noticed the difference, like all the life was sucked from Yuki's voice and body, "Anything's fine.... no mushrooms though. I'm allergic." she said drying, walking to the cabinet and grabbing a glass which she filled with water before going back and sitting down at the island.

Yuki nodded and made a nice pasta dish with rich tomato sauce that lathered the angel noodles. Meatballs and Alfredo sauce, the dish smelled delicious, but Yuki didn't have that much of an appetite, so he made one serving for Corinne. He had learned the dish from one of his previous masters who only liked Italian food, talk about crazy. Yuki sighed as he called out to Corinne, "Food's done," and made his way onto the couch after setting the table. Yuki dully stared into space, not sure what else he could do.

Corinne nodded anf took the fork, twisting the noddles up and popping it into her mouth, "It's really good! Thank you." she said with a light smile as one of the maids came into the room with some dust cloths and spray.
"Ah! Lady Corinne, this is the new slave?" she asked curiously, eying Yuki playfully. Corinne shot her a look.
"I can make sure you end up working in the cellar for the next five months if you can't keep your eyes off of him." she scoffed, taking another bite of pasta.

A small smile covered Yuki's face as he faced the other way and listened to Corinne and her maid's conversation. He was glad she liked the noodles, but still a bit sad. He knew he had come off a bit harsh as she had kissed him, but he knew what was best. This would protect her from any danger on his side. His bleak history wasn't a pretty flower waiting to bloom, it was rather something that should be hidden and not seen. Yuki wouldn't be able to learn to love, and loving one would cause more trouble for her.

As the maid left Corinne turned back to the pasta and took another fork full, "She's already got a crush on you... Kira does..." Corinne rolled her eyes, "Listen... you're free to like anyone."

Yuki nodded, "No worries Mistress," he said with a slight smile, not realizing that he had suddenly went back to calling Corinne so formally. He didn't have time to like anyone, he still had his sister to worry about and on top of that, he accompanied Corinne. She of course, was an easy task. Corinne had rarely any complaints and was rather easy to get along with. Subconsciously, Yuki touched his tattoo on his wrist. He still never figured out where it came from, a mysterious white dragon appeared on his wrist one day when he woke up. He suddenly jerked away when he realized what he was doing.
