Her eyes followed intently as he dug into the earth, making a home for their flower to grow in happiness. Looking up her gaze caught on his face as he nodded to her obviously signaling for her to do the same. For a moment she just took in his features unable to look away, how wonderful would it be to call him her one and only? Squeezing her eyes shut she forced her head down so she may look at the hole he had started. Daintily she dug her petite gray hoof into the earth, shifting the soil so it would not fall back into the hole and continuing to make it deeper. After a moment she looked up to him seeking approval that she had dug it deep enough.
How frustrating! Each time she looked to him she wished to again lean against him as she had done before. Feeling his breathing right beside her while syncing her own breathing to match his and having his unique scent wash over her. More than that she felt safe beside him, as long as she was there no harm would come to her. She opened her mouth once more as though she were about to say something but quickly closed it. Coward! Why could she not just say it? ‘I love you.’ In her mind it seemed such an easy task, but her heart feared rejection. Feared being torn up and thrown upon the ground. Nightmare wouldn't do such a thing though...No.

Nightmare felt as if he was trying to swallow a stone, watching her was terribly hard for some reason, here she was, gardening with him, it was like a dream. He bit his bottom lip, juuuust to make sure, nope...there was pain, it wasn't a dream afterall. A smile lit on his lips as he watched her dig the hole for the vanilla pods and nodded to her in approval. " Gooff, hurr..." he muttered through the bean, and then after making sure she had moved away from the hole he gently bit down upon the pod, with a sharp crack the hull broke and the delicate little seeds dropped into the hole she had dug.
He dropped the empty husk and chuckled " there...that should do it..." He looked to her and found a very strange expression on her face, his brow wrinkled a bit in worry. " What's wrong Lumriel?..." he frowned a bit, thinking he must have upset her in some way..." are you ok?"

After the seeds dropped into the hole she pushed the excess dirt they had removed and covered them. An excitement began to swell within her; she could hardly wait to see the little seed turn into a gorgeous flower. Perhaps it would look exactly like the flower behind her ear or maybe it would look completely different because it was what they planted. Her musings came to an end as his voice entered her ears, penetrating her very heart. Her green eyes left the patch of disturbed earth and stuck on his face. For a moment she stood in silence debating what she should say. She was physically and mentally fine technically speaking but she really did wish to share something with him. Her heartbeat quickened and she looked to the side, a blush making her pink cheeks even more rouge. “I-uhm…” Her courage began failing again and tears began forming in her eyes.
With a fluid motion she moved forward, careful not to step where they had planted the seeds, and rested her forehead against his chest. She couldn’t help in any longer; her brother would tell her to just go for it. Tears began to flow freely but became mixed with giggles and sniffles. “I am so ridiculous.” She whispered shakily. “I-I don’t want to leave you.” She stated tenderly. “Please don’t make me go…”
