Aphrodite blinked staring intently at the circle, hearing Gairbith's explanation she was now determined to leanr this ability from Salem. She had to be the best, it was the only thing she could do to out wit her small stature.

Finishing of his grape, Deimos sighed. He should be getting back now.. Standing up grudgingly he strode back tot he stable area, yawning as he entered. "Is there much left to class?" He asked, a tad bored.. He just didn't like classes.

Salem smiled slightly down at Deimos as the child came back. "We're going to go over the basics of the most common dragons, then you're free to go. If you guys haven't taken your own already, find someone to get some notes to study. We're going to be having a test on this stuff at the begining of next class before moving on to our next subject. I think you might like this half of the class a little better. You'll not only get to see the different kinds of dragons, but also get to talk with them. Three out of them are fire breathers too." He added, hoping he might get the child's attention at least a little with that bit of information.
Gairbith on the other hand was starting to slowly lumber out of the way, making sure he was well clear of the circle that had been drawn on the ground. The was a bit of a task in itself sense he was so large. Eventually he settled down near by, laying himself down before resting his head on his wrists.
"Oh! And Gairbith has agreed to take all of you up for a little spin." His smile widened as he pointed at the sky.

After she was done, she stared at Salem. "...but aren't the five out of ten of the dragons you are going to show evil by nature? ... And what stage are we gonna see them at?"

Salem nodded slightly to the little wasp child. "Yes. Half of them are evil and all of these will show each of their ages ending with Great Wyrms, one at a time. At the end we will see smaller versions so all of them fit inside the circle and you can talk to each of them. I didn't say that they would be nice when you talk to them. You're not supposed to make friends, your just going to get a feel for what they're like for a little." He looked down at his watch for a moment before speaking. "Times almost up kids. We'll be starting up again soon."

Aphrodite nodded, staying inside her wagon. Next to the area set for Chaos Dragon, she started to draw picture of Gairbith.

One last look at his watch a few minutes later and Salem raised his voice, though with a light tone to it and called out to them all, "Alright! Time's up! We're continuing! We're going to go through ten of the most common kinds of dragons. I'm going to go in alphabetical order within each group to make it easier for me not to skip over any. Anyway, these dragons are split into two groups, the chromatic and metallic dragons. The chromatic being the evil half while the metallic are good. Like I said before, this is subject to change, but it's rather rare. So! The first dragons we're going to look at are the chromatic dragons, starting with the black dragon." The catfolk spoke a few tangled words of magic and the first of the ten dragons started to form as he started to speak changing and shifting to match what he was talking about at the time, and even switching from dragon to dragon when the time came.
"Black dragons wyrmlings have scales that are thin, small, and glossy. As the dragon ages, they become larger, thicker, and duller, helping it camouflage itself in swamps and marshes.
Black dragons have deep-socketed eyes and broad nasal openings that make its face look like a skull. It has segmented horns that curve forward and down, somewhat like a ram's horns, but not as curly. These horns are bone-colored near their bases, but darken to dead black at the tips. As the dragon ages, the flesh around the horns and cheekbones deteriorates, as though eaten by acid, leaving only thin layers of hide covering the skull. This phenomenon is not harmful to the dragon, but enhances its skeletal appearance.
Most of a black dragon's teeth protrude when the mouth is closed, and big spikes stud the lower jaw. A pair of small horns jut from the chin, and a row of hornlets crown the head. The tounge is flat, with a forked tip. and the dragon often drools acidic slime.
A black dragon smells of rotting vegetation and foul water, with an acidic undertone.
A black dragon flying overhead is marked by a distinctive profile. It's horns, with their characteristic forward curve, are clearly visible. The wing membranes are marked with blobby stripes, and the leading edges of the wings are fringed or scalloped near the tips. A black dragon also has exceptionally long alar thumbs. Um... Those are the little thumb looking fingers on the front of the wings. The trailing edges of the wing membranes join the body ahead of the back legs.
Black dragons are among the most evil-tempered true dragons. They prefer dismal swamps or bogs, the more stagnent and fetid the better, but can be encountered anywhere water and dense vegetation are found together. This includes jungles, rain forests, and moors. They have no natural enemies, though they attack and kill almost anything unfortunate enough to stumble upon them. Black dragons living in forest areas often encounter green dragons, but the two species usually manage to maintain an uneasy truce, so long as the black dragons stick to the watery areas.
Black dragons make their lairs in large, damp caves or multichambered submerged caverns. They always dwell near water, and their lairs usually have a submerged entrance and a land entrance. Older black dragons hide both entrances to their lairs with a 'plant growth' spell.
Black dragons dwelling in dungeons prefer dark, watery locations.
Black dragons dine primarily on fish, mollusks, and other aquatic creatures. They also hunt for red meat, but like to 'pickle' it by letting it lie in ponds within or near their lairs for days before being eaten. The rotting flesh helps make the area even more foul, just the way the dragon likes it.
Black dragons are especially fond of coins. Older ans craftier dragons sometimes capture and question humanoids about stockpiles of gold coins before killing them. Others move out into nearby rivers or lakes, where they menace boat traffic and demand that passing vessels pay tribute.
In keeping with their reputation for ferocity, black dragons usually fight for their mates. The females do most of the fighting, flying far and wide to locate a desirable male and then impressing him with a victory over a rival. Eggs are usually laid near the male's lair, and the male is left to guard the young. Black dragon parents are protective, but give their offspring little support beyond the occasional bit of advice. Eventually, the parent advises its offspring to leave the area before the older dragon decides to eat the youngster.
Although capable of breathing underwater, black dragons do little actual swimming; instead, they wallow in the shallows, enjoying the feel of the mud or simply lying in wait for prey. Black dragons prefer to ambush their targets, using their surroundings as cover. When fighting in heavily forested swamps and marshes, they try to stay in the water or on the ground; trees and leafy canopies limit their aerial maneuverability. When outmatched, a black dragon attempts to fly out of sight, so as not to leave tracks, and takes refuge in the deepest water it can find."
Salem sighed softly as he came to a stop for a moment, "Any questions so far?"

Rex stared at the black dragons in awe, almost forgetting to do his notes. Points here and there were missed as Salem explained further - not that he minded though. The boy preferred paying his full attention on listening(and watching), instead of missing tons by scribbling in his book here and there.
Which explained the abandoned book and pencil halfway through the lesson on black dragons.
King, meanwhile, had managed to turn the body around slightly in order to see the strange forms better. Though he understood not what was being said, the reptile could see for himself how they must have been evil creatures.
Ugly. King snorted, more to himself than anyone else.

A distance not far from the group of mishaps, Kunjiro was having fun wondering around the farm. Carrying his sword with him proudly, he looked at stables, coop, fish tank, sheep and pig sty slowly.
Upon reaching the farm house for his last visit, voices can be heard from where he stood. Feeling curious, the boy followed where the voices came from and saw a group of mishaps at his age and many more.
From the group Kunjiro saw a familiar figure and instantly called out. "Rex! I didn't expect to see you here!" he exclaimed, happy to see his friend in the farm house. He then bowed to the other in the house, and said," I'm sorry to interrupt, but may I know what's giong on here?"

Salem smiled slightly at Rex as he stopped taking notes. He didn't mind if they weren't taken down as long as he could remember the more important parts. He then blinked as a new child showed up. "Oh, hello."
The dragon standing within the magical circle turned it's large head around to look at Kunjiro, narrowing it's jade green eyes. He turned his 85' long body around best he could in the circle before rearing up onto his hind legs and spreading his wings to their full 80' wingspan. He growled deep in his throat as acid dripped out of his maw and onto the ground, seemingly burning it. It roared loudly before falling back onto all fours, not that it made him any less intimidating.
Salem's eyes widened as the dragon did his thing before frowning and stapping right back at him. "Eribonyxtaliff! Behave! I'm the only one keeping your memory alive at all! Show some self control!"
The dragon growled deeply before speaking, "I don't want you to tell them these useless things! Tell them about how I am the greatest black dragon that has ever lived and how I am the progenitor of an entirely new race! Tell them how great I was!!!"
"They can ask you about it in the end! Now be patient old man!" Salem hissed back before turning his attention back to Kunjiro. "I'm sorry about that... He's grumpy... Are you alright? We're having a class here if you'd like to join. I will teach you about different kinds of magical creatures. Today we're going dragons. You can take the notes off someone else so you know what you've missed. We're half way done with the class after all."

Kunjiro's eyes widened as the dragon growled and stared at the black dragon, amazed. He had never seen a dragon, or something that big before. "Yes, I'm okay," replied Kunjiro, wagging his tail at the same time. "And I'll join the class, I want to learn about all these things," he said, before sitting on the floor.

The wasp mishap would, as she typically would happily greet any new commer, but just like Rex she had neglected her notes, staring in awe at the memory of the large black dragon. "Holy crap. "

Rex snapped out of his 'trance' as his name was called out, by a very, very familiar voice. Jerking his head away from the dragon, he glanced in the direction of the source of the voice, and lo and behold, there was Kunjiro, all grown up!
"Kunjiro! You've grown!" The boy called out to his one close friend, waving as he did so.
Then the black dragon - Ebonyxtaliff, as Salem had called him, seemed to want to show off a little. Not in the least intimidated, King let out a bloodcurdling growl, as if to mock and challenge the nonexistent dragon.

Salem smiled, nodding. "Great! The more the merrier. You need to give this to your mother to sign though..." He shuffled through his back and pulled out one of the permission slips, handing it over. "Just to give you an idea of what's happening, I've gone over basic dragon facts and now I'm getting into more details on the ten most common dragons, the first being this big guy, the black dragon. Salem flinched as King roared Salem blinked a moment as an ear turned itself around to listen more closely, catching King's growl before bitting his lower-lip. That wasn't going to end well. "s**t..."
The dragon didn't so much as flinch, instead, his eyes narrowed dangerously as he turned to face the twins. What had King gotten them into...? A deep throated growl rummbled through the dragon before he opened his mouth to release a hiss, acidic slime splattering harmlessly to the ground, seeming to burn it. Next thing anyone knew the dragon swooped down and snapped the twins up in it's nasty toothy maw! Or... So it tried... As it's mouth closed around the twins it simply went through them harmlessly. This dragon was, after all, an illusion and so couldn't actually affect his surroundings in any way. At best, he probably scared the living daylights out of them.
As soon as the dragon had pulled it's head back aloft he bolted in between the twins and the dragon, arms outstreached. "Eribonyxtaliff! One more stunt like that and I'll never summon your memory again! You will be forever forgoten! Is that what you want?! For no one to know you ever existed?!"
The dragon looked away, furious. From the look of things, the fact that he hadn't been able to actually eat the tall twins had miffed him, but not so much so that he'd risk being forgoten.
"Good..." He sighed softly, before turning to face the twins, evern walking around to he could see Rex better. "Translate this for me, would you Rex? In this class I am going to be teaching you all not only the basic facts about magical creatures, but also how to act around them. King, as a T-Rex, you of all people should know better then to pull a stunt like that. You should never mess with something big and strong enough to eat you. It's basic knowledge in the wild. Further more, with something as intellegent as a dragon, you should show respect even if you don't like them. There will be many other dragons that I'm going to show you that would just as readily attack you as this one did, if not more so. Do try and behave...?"

"Okay," said Kunjiro as he took the form from Salem's hands and put it into his pocket. He then sat next to his friend and placed his sword beside him, hoping to show it off to Rex after class. "Yep," he said, pointing his finger at Rex. "But you're still bigger than me."
