I actually have a tablet and pen already, and Photoshop 7. I've practiced a little bit, but I find it a really weird sensation. sweatdrop
If you have some tips, that'd be great.

I might be able to give you some tips if you'd like, but I would need to know more in detail what it is exactly you have a hard time with when doing cg art. Is it the tablet itself? the programs you use? drawing and painting in cg? what do you find the most challenging in it? based on what you'll tell me I'll try to help you from there 3nodding

I find it to be a weird disconnect, obviously I'm used to a line appearing on the surface I'm drawing on, whereas with the tablet, I'm drawing on one surface and the lines are appearing on the screen which is completely removed. Also tips for drawing line art and painting/shading would help, too. Here is the only piece of art I've churned out with my tablet: The colouration is really...dreamy and light. It's not very substantial.

It takes a little getting used to at the beginning but after that its almost like second nature... it just takes a while to adjust looking at the screen instead of what you draw on your tablet.

Maybe something like this would be better suited to your needs. there still kinda expensive though, but easier to adapt to, cause your drawing essentially on your screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58_GruOfYo4&feature=fvstOne comment I can give about your line art though is the quality of your lines : ) Your lines seem to be pretty uniform through out the hole picture. There all ruffly the same width. Maybe try making some areas of the drawing like were the light hits it, finer lines then were the shadows are. Maybe try making were shadows are more thick lines, and play around with the lines width to add more dynism into your image?

So I wouldn't go so far as to say this is AS complete as it will get... > w >; I suppose with all my other digiarts so far I haven't actually added a background... and I want to try with this one, but first I wanted to see if there's anything someone would suggest I change about what I have so far. At this point I'm only really going to change some coloring if I need to, but comments on the actual sketch itself is always nice, too, if you have something to note! <3 So here's what I've been workin' on lately... EDIT: Old pic's getting deleted, so I've updated it just a little for now.
