Naruto sputtered, "what the hell Sasuke?!" He glanced back at the glass then shrugged, not caring if they knew or not. Why did Uchiha men have to be so damn insulting?
Itachi shrugged and settled back in his chair, disappointed with Sasuke's reaction. Maybe it would be better if he just sat in a cell by himself. As long as he had his smokes, he did not much care where he was.

"You never did answer my question," Sasuke tried again, rubbing at his temples and giving Itachi a tired glare. "If you keep trying to change the subject, I can charge you with obstruction of justice."

Itachi shrugged, "refresh my memory. What is it that you're so desperate to find out?"
Miffed at being ignored, Naruto crossed his arms over his chest, pouting slightly. Oh, Sasuke would hear about this later. There was no way he was getting out of buying him ramen for a month now.

"If you don't like my questioning," Sasuke said calmly, "I've offered to have you put in a cell. Your choice. Perhaps we could find you a nice, rather large cell mate named Bubba. Might be interesting. I'd hate for you to be bored while you're in there." The younger Uchiha smirked.

Itachi tried not to smile at that. Ah, the brat had a sense of humor. "You're so considerate, otouto. I think you're far more interesting, at the moment, so if you would like to continue your questions, I wouldn't mind hearing them."

Interesting? He'd show the b*****d interesting. "Fine." Sasuke shuffled through a few papers in the folder, organizing his thoughts. "You said you're a business man. Would you care to fill me in on the nature of your business?"

Itachi dug into his pocket, taking out his leather wallet. "As you should know, I took over the family business." He smirked, knowing Sasuke would know what he meant. "Here," he pulled out a card from the billfold, offering it to Sasuke between his fingers. "I import antiquities and the such."

Sasuke took the card, looking it over for a moment before setting it on the table. "Took over the family business? Should I take that as a confession? We have proof of exactly what our family was doing, brother, and it didn't have much to do with antiquities." No, that wouldn't be enough to convict Itachi, but if their evidence came out like they hoped it would, that statement would be useful in court. Sasuke shifted his gaze to two-way mirror for a moment before returning it to Itachi.

Shaking his head, Itachi closed his eyes. "What our family was doing on the side, is... most regretable. I did not mean that particular part of buisness, just the importing." Reopening his eyes he stared blank facedly at Sasuke. He remembered exactly when he had found out what their family was really doing, and how happy his father was at his son's adeptness in underworld matters. They all deserved to die, in his opinion. What father would be gleeful over such things?

Sasuke's eyes narrowed, his fists clenching hard enough for his knuckles to turn white. The perfect actor, that's what Itachi was. What their family was doing was most regretable? Itachi had killed them all simply to push himself up a few levels in that very same business. "...Right."

Tilting his head, he put his upturned palms on the table. "You don't believe me... but you said you had evidence that our family were the ones dealing with the Yukaza." Itachi shrugged, placing his hands in his lap once more. "Our family. Not I. You have no reason to suspect me, minus a few rumors and headlines. I have evidence to support my story."

Sasuke glared darkly at the man he had once lovingly called brother. "I have what I saw, even if the testimony of a confused eight-year-old doesn't mean much to a bribed judge. You know what you did, and so do I. There's only one thing I'm not sure about."

"And what would that be, otouto?" Itachi watched him warily, unsure what Sasuke would be unsure of. A part of him, way back when, had reluctantly let his crooked lawyers lead Sasuke through questions that made him look unsure on the stand. Until he remembered that Sasuke owed him his life for having Itachi spare him from the same fate of their family, he was saddened by the tear-stained little boy.

Sasuke leaned close enough that their faces were nearly touching, not wanting Naruto or his coworkers outside the room to hear his next few words. "Why didn't you kill me, too? Was it just to torture me? Am I that amusing to you? Why get rid of everyone else and leave me alone, to live like... like this?"

Itachi blinked, "leave you to live like what? From what I've seen, you've done well for yourself." He didn't care to answer the other questions, unsure if Sasuke was trying to trap him in some sort of game.
