Charles Broker ”Healer” Avoided? " What's what?" Charles replied in a confused tone, as far as Charles thought, he didn't have anything on him that he didn't usually have, so nothing came to mind. whatever it was, Deimi seemed rather interested. " I think she means the whip you dumb a**. The handle's showing..." Chaz added quickly. " Ah! I thought it was more inconspicuous, like a key chain or something. Anyway it's usually in my pocket. Must have fell out when I stood up." If it was the whip Deimi had seen, Charles wouldn't know what to do... He could have shown her it, cleared it up once and for all. She was carrying knives anyway, it's not like she'd be likely to freak out at someone else being armed. He could have also just pretended it was a key chain on his belt. He'd used the excuse once before successful, but it was to a five year old... Well, either way... He had to answer with something quick. " Ah this?2 Charles blurted out pointing to the handle casually. " It's like a charm to keep me safe I suppose... I've had it for quite a while and you know what it's like, you don't feel comfortable without things like that on you... Like if you wear a watch all the time and then forget to put it on one day and you just feel naked. Anyway it's a bit like that I suppose aha!" Charles rambled sticking the handle back into his pocket. Luckily the rest of the whip was easier to conceal, or more truthfully, it was a lot less obvious sitting like a belt around his waist. Chaz

Deimi looked to Charles as he asked what was what in response to her question. After a moment, he seemed to realize she was talking about the odd handle looking object that was hanging beside his pants. He pointed to it, and began explaining that it was like a charm to keep him safe, and that he's had it for quite a while, starting to ramble on about something that seemed related to the topic. Deimi had noticed him shove the handle into his pocket, and the eerie glow from her eyes faded away. She smiled sweetly, and nodded, " Ohhhhh, I see, that's actually pretty cool though~ And I know whatcha mean by not feeling comfortable with things on you, I wouldn't feel very safe either without Remi and my little babies~" By 'little babies,' she was talking about the weapons on her belt, her billhook knife, which was the more obvious, it being the biggest weapon on her, her butterfly knives, her revolver, and her chain flail. In addition, Remi also had a Swiss Army knife on him, though he only used it in emergencies, and he usually kept it so well-hidden, it was nearly impossible to find it on him the first time. She felt her little brother relax in her arms, and she smiled, gently brushing his hair back a bit, before she looked back up to Charles. " Say," she spoke, tilting her head to him a moment, " You wouldn't mind if Remi and I kept you company for a little while or so, hm?" Remi relaxed when he felt the feeling in his sister fade away just as quickly as it had come, and she seemed to have gone back to her normal self again. He had seen the odd looking handle too, and was about to question what it was until Charles tucked it away. Remi nodded in agreement to Charles' statement about little things being a comfort when one had them all the time, like his Swiss Army knife, which he always kept cleverly concealed, so far, only Deimi knew about it, but she wouldn't tell anyone that her little brother was carrying a weapon, or where he was hiding it. As Deimi asked if she and her little brother could keep Charles company for a little while, Remi glanced between them. He really wanted to go to the candy store, since his sister had said she'd take them there to get some candy to eat, but decided that if Charles wanted them to stick around, then he wouldn't mind much either. Really, now that they were conversing with someone who seemed almost like them, Remi was actually starting to warm up a little towards the older boy. He didn't say anything though, deciding to keep quiet for now and wait until a more viable time to talk, his ears flicking towards Charles as he awaited and answer to Deimi's question.

Charles Broker ”Healer” Stupid stupid Chaz!! " I take it by babies you mean those knives by your waist? I wasn't going to say anything but I did notice them... Surely you would only need one?" Charles asked casually. It was more out of curiosity than worry. Chaz on the other hand was convinced that Deimi was bad news. More than one weapon meant attacker, not defender. Not that Chaz was worried either, he was waiting for it, waiting for some action so he could let rip! " Go with her, just follow her. Somethings going to happen and I for one wanna see it with our own eyes. Oh, and don't be so relaxed you ********! That something that's gonna happen could be us, us in a few more pieces than we'd like to be!" Chaz advised. He wasn't all that scared though, more impatient. " I know, don't think I don't know that... In fact you should be able to tell what I'm thinking! Stop shutting yourself off from me all the time, maybe we'd get along better." Charles retorted. " What and listen you all your mindless rambling thoughts all day? No thanks... And I can tell you my thought like this anyway so what's the problem." Chaz shouted back. Clearly he was a little annoyed now, Charles thought it best to leave him alone for now. The morning was starting to get on, and if anything it was closer to breakfast now than anything else, that's what Charles had planned to do. However, Breakfast with people he'd only just met, maybe they should choose... It wasn't like he had any preferences on what to eat anyway. " And yeah, that's perfectly alright. I'm actually a little hungry, but I'm not sure what for. Tell you what, why don't we grab something to eat? Your choice, I'm not all that bothered haha!" He said cheerfully looking down at Remi, who looked like he wanted to say something actually. Charles wouldn't push him though, if it was important then the words would come. " You're such a ********' wet towel you know that Charles..." Chaz remarked. " God shut up, why can't you just be nice for once. Yes I'll keep my guard but I'm not going to demonise someone for something that hasn't happene-!" Charles muttered aloud before quickly realising what he'd done... Did they notice? Hopefully not, either way, he had an excuse ready, it wasn't the first time that this had happened with him or Chaz. " Oh, well done... Well ********' done..." Chaz

Deimi tilted her head to Charles as he asked about the knives by her waist, asking if she'd only need one. She was slightly taken aback by how he had asked the question so casually, but she simply smiled and replied with, " Why settle for just one? You should always have something to fall back on when one thing fails, hm~?" That was true for her, her sword-sized billhook knife being her main weapon, but if that failed, she could always use her revolver or chain flail for back-up weapons, the butterfly knives were more for her tertiary weapons. Though Charles already knew about the knives, Deimi did not bring up the gun or the flail, knowing that he was probably onto her now after the mention of the knives. Not to mention she had her hidden power, though she wasn't going to mention that either, figuring that he was singling out weapons on her. For a moment, her killer instincts kicked in, and her eyes glowed eerily red as a dark scowl crossed her face, she'd have to watch herself around him, for now, at least. The scowl vanished when Charles said he wouldn't mind them sticking around for company, and bringing up the subject of food, though he wasn't sure what he was hungry for. Deimi grinned at the prospect of going to get something to eat, saying that they were free to choose where, and that he wasn't all that bothered about where they chose to eat breakfast at. She was reminded of how hungry she was herself, when had she last had a decent meal? " Remi's been having a craving for candy lately, maybe we can go down to that candy shop place and get a little sweet treat~ Though it's awfully early in the morning for stuff like that~" she said, thinking on it a moment, before looking to Remi, " Are you sure you want to go to the candy store?" Remi's ears flickered about as the conversation between Charles and Deimi went on, his tail fluffing up nervously when the boy made mention of the knives. Thankfully, it was only Deimi's knives he was talking about, which were on the belt around her waist, though Remi knew quite clearly that she had more than just knives on that belt. When Charles and Deimi started talking about breakfast, the little boy glanced up as Charles looked down to him after saying that either of them could choose where to go eat at. His sister mentioned the candy shop, adding that it was awfully early in the morning to be eating sweets and stuff, before asking if he really wanted to go to the candy shop. " I do, but I wouldn't want to make trouble for Charles," stated Remi, " If it's not a good idea, we can just go to the dining hall for a little something to eat and go to get candy later..." The little wolf boy glanced down towards the ground a moment, fiddling with his fingers a bit, before looking up, " Unless you wouldn't mind going to the candy shop, Charles," he added. His ears flicked again as he thought he heard Charles muttering something, though to who and what it was about, he couldn't really tell. Remi tilted his head curiously, wondering who the boy was talking to, was he talking to his sister? Or some imaginary person that was next to him? Deimi thought she heard Charles muttering something, thinking she had heard something about keeping his guard up and not demonising someone for something that hasn't happened. She gave him an odd look, wondering who he was talking to and what he meant by that, " Something wrong, Charles?" she asked, her red eyes scanning his face for a moment as her tail flicked back and forth behind her.

Charles Broker ”Healer” Song stuck. Yep, a song... She had a point, if you were disarmed it never hurt to have a backup. Charles, or rather Chaz, never let folk get close enough to do that though, he was pretty much a ranged fighter. He felt the whips handle sitting inside hit pocket, it was amazing that so many people bought the 'protective charm' bull! Not wanting to play on it any longer Charles gave out another well used excuse for his outburst, hopefully she'd buy this too. " Ahh, didn't realise I was speaking aloud there haha! It's a line from a song. I've had it stuck in my head all day and I can't for the life of me remember its name! Haha! Don't you hate it when that happens?" He laughed in an embarrassed tone trying to play on the stupidity of it. With Remi joining in on the conversation Charles smiled some more. The young boy was quite polite, something that was missing from a lot of the younger generations, Chaz came to mind once more... " And as for sweets for breakfast... I don't mind! I may have to grab something else on the way though, sweets themselves won't do it for me." He grinned. The more Charles thought about it, the more he could really go some fish, maybe something smoked... He paced around a little, thinking that they'd start to move out if he initiated it, otherwise they'd be stuck here all morning! The ground was still wet under his feet, though Charles' back had dried off enough for it not to bother him anymore. His bandanna was annoying him though, he liked it but sometimes it never sat right! At the moment the knot was messing with his hood and chain, so he gave it a bit of a repositioning as he waited for the pair to make a move. Chaz

Deimi kept her head tilted as Charles spoke up, hearing him say that he hadn't realized he'd been speaking aloud. He then proceeded to say that it was a line from a song, and that he's had it stuck in his head all day but he couldn't remember the name of it, asking if she hated it when that happened as he laughed in a rather nervous sounding tone. Her red eyes flickered a moment, she knew deep down that he was lying, and wondered why he wasn't being honest with her. But, instead of pressing questions on the matter, she decided to just play along, and simply smiled, " I know, right??? That's usually why I have my iPod with me~" she said happily, gesturing to the earbuds in her ears a moment. That was a bit of a lie, the iPod wasn't truly hers, she had stolen it off of some old sod months ago, not that he would've minded anyways, it was hers now. When Remi spoke up, Deimi looked down to him almost in surprise, they had only known Charles for about twenty minutes or so, yet her usually very timid younger brother was speaking in proper sentences now. Charles seemed to like how polite Remisus was, he was smiling quite a bit now, and Deimi couldn't help bit smile herself. Remi glanced up to Charles as the older male said that he didn't mind sweets for breakfast, though he might have to grab something else on the way there, sweets themselves wouldn't be enough for him. " We could just buy it now and save it for later," the little wolf boy suggested, trying to find a good compromise, since he knew full well that sweets alone wouldn't fill him up either, or Deimi, for that matter. The way Charles smiled to him made him feel a bit better, since this was the first time in so long that Remi had a conversation with someone other than his sister. He looked to the black-haired male as he started to pace about, as if waiting for them to start moving as well, readjusting the bandanna he was wearing as he did so. " Let's get moving then, we won't get anything done just by dawdling here," Remi said, a smile lighting his face, before he weaseled his way out of his sister's arms, wanting to walk with them for a change instead of being carried around the whole time. Looking between them, the wolf boy got a bit nervous, he hadn't noticed how much smaller he looked compared to Charles now that he was standing up, even though he had gotten used to Deimi being taller than him. Shaking his head a bit, Remi clasped his sister's hand, and began to walk in the direction of the candy store, tugging her to come along. Deimi allowed her little brother to clamber out of her arms, figuring that he'd tired of being carried around and held, feeling him grab hold of her hand and starting to tug her in the direction of the little candy shop they had passed by earlier. " You coming, Charles?" Deimi asked, grinning to him and flicking her ears as she was being led off by her little brother. (( exit... TO THE CANDY STORE!!! :3 lol ))
