 Robyn listened with little interest to the conversation that the two were having. She had heard of Skye, Daren had a bought a CD from her a while back. She looked over at Pierce, not really caring whether or not he was talking, there was something about him that was bothering her. If all he had wanted was to get his Navi Pad fixed, then why was he still here?
"Hey, are you gonna tell me what you want here or not?" she asked, still slightly irked at the fact that Jake had insulted Daren.

  "Yeah sometimes. I usually sing though but I can play other instruments if necessary. Our guitarist was out with a fever today so I had to take his place." Pierce nodded. He was starting to seriously consider just staying back at the Suite instead. The strange stuff that had happened so far might just prove to be too much. He could just visit the cool tourist attractions around the city... whatever those were. Maybe starting with finding out what there is to do around the city would be a better place to start. "Let me guess... you Parkour?" The question came from Skye. Pierce chuckled awkwardly "Uh, yup! Long time Free-runner too..." Suddenly Robyn cut in sounding a little agitated, "Hey, are you gonna tell me what you want here or not?" Pierce stood up immediately and strode over to the counter. "Oh, sorry! I just wanted to pay for the repair." He said nervously, he held out his card so that she could ring him up.

"Nah, don't worry about it," Robyn said, pushing his hand away with a smirk. "I technically don't work here, so it wouldn't be fair if I cashed your money." She looked at his hand. Unknowingly, Pierce had pulled out another card that looked very familiar... almost too familiar. Her eyes narrowed, less threateningly and more like a confused blink.
"What are you doing with my business card?" she asked, taking it from his fingers.

Janessa barely refrained from rolling her eyes at the response to her question. She'd heard that line before, and it seemed just like an easy excuse to her. She couldn't completely complain about the rogue Eggs though. They were giving her some good business, despite the difficulties they caused. Still, she'd rather not have them terrorizing the city.
Though, Robyn was bound to go off on Jake after his remark. Ness knew it was best just to keep her mouth shut for the moment. Besides, it was in her nature to keep quiet. However, if she needed to, she'd intervene. So, she kept an eye out while she began putting some newly received parts up in their appropriate place, keeping herself busy. After all, she did have a shop to run, regardless of the argument going on.
She noted that the two 'customers' had struck up a conversation and that Robyn had gotten a phone call from her brother. She hadn't spoken to Daren much, seeing as she had only met him a few times, and all while Robyn was present. He seemed nice enough. Also, he was quiet like her, so that didn't help the lack of communication either.
As she 'organized' things, she caught the reflection of her face in a piece of polished metal. Agh, great. Ness had oil smeared across her face still. She found a clean rag and did her best to get it off, looking at her reflection while she did so. In her concentration, she managed to catch Robyn's last statement. "Well, it was probably given to him for some reason..." She mused aloud.

Pierce was about to argue the point when she pointed out the second card he accidentally pulled out. "What are you doing with my business card?" She pulled it from his hand."Well, it was probably given to him for some reason..." A third woman who he assumed must be the owner of the shop said. Pierce nodded, "This guy at Mega Suite gave it to me and told me to look you up. Daren I think he said his name was. Are you related?" Pierce asked before he could shut his mouth.

Robyn blinked. This guy had gotten her business card from Daren at the Mega Suite? That could only mean...
"Are you guys related?"
"Pff," Robyn replied, waving her wrist. "Are we related, what kind of a stupid question is that? He's obviously my brother." She grinned at her own joke. "I mean, can't you see the resemblance?" She leaned forward casually. "Lemme guess. He thinks you're too broke to afford a hotel, so he wants me to hook you up with a dorm, right?"

((I can blame my inactivity on work...but I won't))
"The only resemblance I can ever see is that ugly thing on your head you call a face." Jake's voice came from the door. His phone was missing and he figured one of the Egg's had snatched it in an attempt to gain information.
He was right. One of the Egg's had it clutched in its hand. The Cop reached for it when it suddenly booted up and jumped on him.
Jake yelped in shock then stumbled and clattered around the shop, trying to pry it off...especially after it started a self-destruct countdown.
When the countdown reached "5" he ran out of the shop and into the street where he continued his struggle. When the countdown reached "3" he used his shotgun to blow off the thing's arms, and make himself deaf...again.
With just one second to go he scrambled far enough away not to be killed by the blast but, instead, blown hard against the wall where his head made contact with the surface, knocking him out.
Just another day at the office.

"Pff," Robyn Replied "Are we related, what kind of a stupid question is that? He's obviously my brother." She was grinning openly. Pierce chuckled nervously. "I mean, can't you see the resemblance? Lemme guess. He thinks you're too broke to afford a hotel, so he wants me to hook you up with a dorm, right?" Pierce still feeling kind of awkward scratched the back of his head nervously. "Uhh, yeah I believe you about got it." Pierce smiled "Well yeah, I am in town for a while as they say and I was looking for somewhere to stay. Of course now this whole Egg thing is really freaking me out and anywhere with "Security" in the name sounds like a good idea to me." Funny thing for a free-runner to be so interested in security...That was when things REALLY went down hill. The officer suddenly spoke up from the door way. "The only resemblance I can ever see is that ugly thing on your head you call a face." He strode over to one of the Eggs disheveled bodies and attempted to pluck what looked like a phone from its clutch.

 "No, Jake, don't...!"
But it was already too late. Jake, being the idiot that he was, had to go and grab the phone from the Egg's hand. The stupid thing reactivated, of course, jumped up, and followed the idiot rescue hero outside. The automatic countdown began and Robyn's eyes widened.
"Hit the deck!" she shouted as she heard the number reach one. She slammed herself under the work table as the walls shook, and clutched her face to the ground, hoping that Jake would survive this. After all, when she said that she wished he would die, she didn't actually mean that she wished he would die. Like... for real.
"Jake!" she shouted once the danger subsided. She scrambled out from underneath the table and stumbled outside, nearly tripping in her haste. She looked around frantically hoping, no... wishing that she wouldn't find his guts strewn across the ground. Thank goodness! He was just knocked out from the blast. She ran over to him and shook his shoulder, calling him. When he didn't move, she groaned. Always making her do work, the a**. It was right at that moment that someone grabbed her from behind. She whirled around, poised to smack the perpetrator, but relief washed over her features as she looked at Daren.
"Daren~!" she said happily, embracing him. "Oh thank goodness, I thought you'd never get here." She let go of him. "Alright, now help me with this guy."
Daren looked at her skeptically. He'd been right around the corner from Sutherland Robotics when he saw the tell-tale flames of an Egg explosion, and had rushed to find his sister yelling at someone who was obviously passed out. Jake Defi. Of course. He put his hands on his hips. "Weren't you the one saying that you hated the guy? Why are you so concerned?"

Immediately the robot jumped onto the man. Panic blossomed as a countdown started. Pierce had no idea what to do, a strange feeling for someone who spent so much time thinking quick on his feet. Pierce watched the Officer run out onto the sidewalk. "Hit the deck!" yelled Robyn. Pierce fell to the ground. The ground shook. Pierce wondered if the man survived the explosion or not.
The pink haired girl shouted and ran outside. Pierce scrambled to his feet to peer out the front windows. He spotted that guy from the Suite, her brother if he was not mistaken. "What in the world is happening today..." Pierce stated out loud.

Jake woke up suddenly.
He sat up and looked around for the destroyed Egg and the Robotics Shop.
Everything was there but anything living.
He wasn't awake, but rather in his own little world.
His fears.
The end result if he or anyone else didn't resolve the matter soon.
Getting up he bracked his Shotgun and started walking down the streets. The city was empty. Devoid of all life, Robotics, and social gatherings.
It might as well have been devoid of color as it started to rain.
There was an explosion in the distance in front of him, and he stopped in place aiming down the street.
Suddenly, a light from the sky came down the road, tearing up buildings and the street itself as it quickly approached him.
Jake's eyes went wide and he squeezed his eyes shut, and blocked the light with his arm, expecting the end but not feeling it. The brilliant skeptical of blue and yellow stopped short, and when it did Jake Defi opened his eyes and looked up to see hundreds of Earth Defense Force Cruisers floating overhead.
Some of them were firing on the city below, others were picking up Dropships from other places.
That's when he felt someone grab him from behind and tug him into the Dropship that landed behind him.
Jake heard Robyn's voice about getting hurt, and he turned around expecting her but coming face to face with a nameless Soldier in an EDF uniform. He looked back down and realized they were flying already, and that's when he spotted a group of people clustered around where he was just standing. There were simply looking up and Jake recognized every one of them.
Robyn.
Daren.
Janessa.
The Chief of Police.
Even Skye and the new kid from the Robotics Shop.
Jake yelled to them and pulled at the Soldier who grabbed him. Shouting that they needed to go back.
The Soldier simply said it was too late and going back would have been suicide.
Jake kept shouting and yelling and tugging and looked back towards the group of people when he heard: "Our ETA is 1 minute. Prepare the Nuke."
"NO!" Jake screamed as he punched and kicked at the Soldiers, who did nothing but take it as if he weren't there. "THERE ARE PEOPLE DOWN THERE!" He looked up at the Cruiser they were fast approaching and saw the tiny canister with the Radiation symbol slapped to the side of it. Then he watched as they dropped it and the entire City was destroyed.
THEN, he woke up...
Officer Jake Defi suddenly jolted up from his unconscious state and looked about hastily. His ears were ringing, that was...sort of a good thing. But he couldn't hear a thing.
He saw Robyn and Daren, the Robotics Shop, and people in the next street over, looking over to see what was going on.
Traffic was still passing by, and the rest of the Police was on their way.
He saw the lights flashing, but no sounds.
Deaf again?

Pierce gathered his scattered wits and burst through the front door. He jumped down the front steps, "Is everyone ok?" Pierce asked the shaken trio. "What should we do? Is there a hospital around or something?" Pierce looked over the downed Officer, he didn't look so good, barely conscious. Maybe he had a concussion? Pierce felt helpless, he relatively nothing about this city and suddenly was consumed by some kind of crazy conspiracy on his first day? Maybe this trip wasn't going to be as simple as he had previously anticipated...

Akita Kiro "This is but the beginning..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kiro was enduring another day of boredom. He had not been hired for a job yet, and had not found any new news about the missing people. He simply wandered though the street, hopping something would happen. His wish was granted when he heard a loud explosion further ahead. He jogged to the scene, scrambling through the crowd to get a better view. He flashed his licence at the officers and walked forwards, examining the small wreck of parts and fire. He also noticed a small group formed near the shards of metal. He decided to approach them and ask what had happened. "Excuse me for interrupting, but what exactly happened here?" He asked, wondering if it had anything to do with the recent reports. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Were in way over our heads."

Daren looked over at Pierce. "Oh... yeah, I remember you. Looks like you found my sister." He sighed. "And, of course, where ever Robyn is, there has to be an explosion."
Robyn glared at him. "Ya know, it would actually help if you did something other than stand around and whine about how dangerous I am. If you're not gonna help, the least you can do is cover me." She looked back at Jake, who seemed to be coming to. A sigh of relief escaped her lips as she hugged him tightly. "Jake! Oh, thank goodness, I thought this time you were done for!" When he didn't respond, she looked over at the guy who'd walked in with his Jurassic-era Navi-Pad. "Hospital? Jake doesn't belong in a hospital. He needs to get back to the base."
Daren sighed. Leave it to Robyn to wanna lug the officer back to the MSP base to get medical attention. When he was suddenly addressed by a voice from behind, he turned around to face the man that had spoken. He sounded polite enough. Daren crossed his arms. "Egg vs. Jacob Defi. Need I say more?" he asked with a smirk. He stuck out his hand. "Daren Gizmo, head of the MSP Mega Dome Weapons and Defense Project, nice to meet you, and that's my sister, Robyn," he added, pointing at the pink-haired girl who was attempting to pick Jake up. "She's the head engineer of the MSP Robotics and Technology Division. She'll probably be able to tell you wnat happened here, being that I just got here. But, uh... you might wanna wait until she's done taking care of her boyfriend."
"He's NOT my boyfriend!!" Robyn protested vehemently, slinging Jake's arm around her shoulders. "I hate him!! ... kinda," she added sheepishly. "Now stop gossiping like a bunch of old ladies and let's get the hell out of here before the backup signal reaches the Mechanism!!" She looked over at the man who had approached them [Akita] and nodded her head in the direction of the enormous tower that stood in the distance, exuding its fort-like appearance over the rest of the city. "If you want the details, you're gonna have to walk with us, since I don't feel like answering the questions of a bunch of hysterical Megalopolitans. So come on, vamonos... everybody let's move it."
Man, I really hate it when she gets like this... Daren thought with a sigh. And, knowing her, she won't get any less bossy until Jake's up and running again... man, what a drag...
