Once arriving to that clear spot, he got off his horse and removed the saddle. He look off the reins, but left the brindle on. It didn't bother him if the horse wasn't tied up. He knew that she wouldn't runaway.
Quickly he checked the herb patch, but sadly, no old Wizard. Returning to the clearing, he unsheathed his sword, and swung it in the air, first vertically then horizontally. With quick footwork, and quick handy work, he brought down many imaginary enemies.
Even thought he wasn't a knight anymore, swordsmanship is a valuable skill. He stopped to catch his breath for a moment.
"I'm getting old," he stated to himself, at which the Chestnut made snorted as she grazed the grass.
Tossing the animal a skeptical glare, he resumed his training.
