The water djinns attention moved to the professor immediately as she began to speak, a pleased little smile making it's way across previously frowning lips. Any excuse to forget about he mayhem of Christmas Town was welcome, and lessons upon refinement and manners doubly so. She'd always liked the lessons taught to her by her mother when she was young, and the sheer lack of elegance within the school and the students within had been something of a shock to the noble ghoul. She had, since then, gotten rather used to it, and thankfully the questionable manners of the others hadn't rubbed off upon the marid.
As the pygmy fox came around the class with the seating chart she made note of her new position and, smiling to those that had gathered around to speak of the horrors of their last field trip, made her way to her new seat. She was not at all familiar with those now immediately around her, though she did remember a few select faces from Sex-Ed class. Unless she was much mistaken the two next to her had been there.
Long legs crossed, she folded her hands upon her thighs and waited, watching the others mill about and make their own way into their newly assigned seats. Though she was happy to be seated so close to the teacher, she was a little disappointed she hadn't gotten to stay closer to Barth and Calder. Or the Nix. His name still escaped her, but he had a wonderfully alluring scent about him of water. Not to mention impeccable style and presence. She made a mental note to get to know him better at a later time.

"Compliments are insulting if you don't mean them," Alessa huffed at Gabe, her cheeks a tint darker, but so too was her scowl. "So, if you please," she said emphasizing the please probably because of where they were, since normally she'd just tell him instead, "Keep them to yourself. Thank you." She felt lucky enough to realize she didn't have to answer his seat invitation, because suddenly they were all being shuffled around to assigned seats instead. She might have been grateful, because she didn't end up next to him, but she wasn't really near anyone she knew either.
Settling in her seat she peered at those around her. There was a student she didn't know to her right, though Ren was on the other side, and Barth was to her left. She had spoken to him a bit on the train, but she doubted he remembered her. Across from her were two boils and a ghoul, though just a bit down the table was the familiar face of Livi.
"For the remainder of our course, hmm?" she asked aloud to no one in particular as she smoothed out the creases of her dress.

A seating arrangement? They had a seating arrangement?
Not even five minutes into the class and Ren was already attempting to leave.
Or he would have been, had he not been blocked on either side by people who he did not know whatsoever and shuffled into his chair by the throngs of people all jumbling around attempting to find their own seats. Whether or not he wanted to be, Ren was suddenly plunked down into his chair.
He glanced around, arms on the desk, head resting on them. To his left was the tall, purple ghoul who he had last seen at the night of the truth or dare game, but for the life of him he could not remember her name. And to his right was an entirely black ghoul who he had never seen before in his life.
He did, however, recognize quite a few other faces. There was Alessa, sitting on the opposite side of the black girl - he gave her a nod and a smile in greeting - and the sloth demon who's name escaped him too, but who he remembered as being very, uh...lacking in clothing during the truth or dare game. Almost directly across from him was the fabulous LW, and Ren felt a grin break out on his face as he looked at her, happy to know that she was in the class with him. Next to her was a demon with vibrantly bright green hair whom Ren thought he might have recognized from somewhere, though he did not feel like putting in the effort to figure out where. He tilted his head to the left and caught a familiar glimpse of dark hair, a sultry expression - Natalia, of course. Ren smirked, tossing her a playful wink before yawning, stretching out his arms and attempting to keep from falling asleep before class even started.

Turning towards the teacher as she spoke up, Jericho frowned at the thought of assigned seats. Any hope of a tolerable class seemed to go down the drain at this moment. Unenthusiastically, he went on to where he was supposed to go and plopped himself into the chair. Riley was halfway down the table on the other side, the sloth demon sat across from him and the patchwork was to his left.
After glancing at them, he looked down the table at Ms. Winters and an idea struck him. Recalling the weird stalker assignment that the career counselor had given out, he reached into his pocket and brought out a slip of paper. He was moving as discreetly as he could, though being on the opposite side of the table probably helped him out a bit.
The dragon went on to scribble down some answers on the professor while the other students were situating themselves, using his leg as a makeshift table.

Holly looked at the chart and found her seat. Great. She got guys on either side of her. Won't this be just an amazing class. She did notice a few familiar faces around the table though none were very close to her. That girl across the table was at that thing the other night. The forgotten conversation about the Christmas town was fine. The ghoul would like to find more out later though but she'd inquire about it to someone else.
She looked at her skirt then back to the teacher. Holly knew she'd be picked on for her dress. But who would blame her? She hadn't been around long and had no idea what was appropriate wear.

The seating chart confused Charlie to no end. Mostly because he could not for the love of him read where he was supposed to sit so instead he stood there and stared with his mouth part agape.
Maybe if he stood there and waited for the other students to take a seat it would be clearer where his seat was. Maybe. Didn't sound like a bad plan to the fallen angel. Still it was kind of uncomfortable just standing there looking like a lost child.

Seating arrangements? Christof usually liked to lurk in the back of a classroom when possible, and was relieved he was positioned towards the end of the table, between a horned and winged boy he wondered if he was a demon or not, and what was obviously a small werewolf ghoul. Well... they seemed nice enough, right? And his Mistress was just a few people down across from him, with Barth right there too... he shouldn't be nervous. This would go well.
He gently set his hat down on the table in front of him as he slipped into his seat, giving LW and Jericho each a polite nod of greeting, but it was clear he was anxiety ridden about sitting with strangers.

She had to move? Ah man! That meant she had to get up and move in the Jack damn thing she wore. With a groan, the she-wolf moved seats and flopped down in her new one. Now she had a boil to either side of her that she didn't know. One with bright lime green hair. Wow. Maybe she needed sunglasses? Then again, she respected that he could make that green hair work so well. It seemed to fit him quite nicely.
To her left...a, patched up student? Ohohoh! A patchwork. She remembered him from the Truth or Dare night. He'd been really quiet. Well, she would at least attempt to get to know her neighbors a little. But first, she glanced across from her and saw a familiar face was still close by. LW returned Ren's grin, feeling a little better about this. Glancing between the two boils she was between, she decided to at least introduce herself. To bright green haired one and patchwork, "How goes it? I'm LW." She paused when she realized that the patchwork seemed really nervous. "Nice hat. It gives you a charming look." She added, being sincere. The she-wolf was nice! Devious and mischievous at times, but none the less nice!
Waiting on their responses, she glanced around the patchwork and noticed yet another boil she didn't know. And across from him...LW couldn't help but giggle when she saw Barth. A much more clothed Barth.

Kasumi sat happily between a demon and a rather blue-looking young man. If his smell offended anyone else, it certainly didn't seem to phase the ghost. Indeed, she thought it rather charming. She introduced herself with a slight nod to the two boys she was seated between. "It's a pleasure to sit next to you both. My name is Kasumi. Might I ask yours?" She looked about the room and noticed it was several lacking in ghosts. Indeed, she was the only ghost (aside from Holly!) in the whole class, and that thought made her a tad uncomfortable. She was sad no one would share her thoughts on phasing and the day to day trials of being incorporeal.
Oh well. At least the professor was a lovely lady with an equally lovely pet at her beck and call. Kasumi didn't mind the seating arrangement or the attire, and smiled brightly because of it.

Siddie knew ... almost nobody here. Great. She listened surreptitiously to the conversation about the trip to Christmas Town, and once again breathed a silent sigh of relief for having gone to visit her parents over the school holiday instead. She'd regretted having to miss the trip at the time, but it sounded like on the whole it had been a thoroughly unpleasant experience. ... Except that apparently everybody else had gone, and maybe she'd have gotten to know some more people if she'd been there.
Before she could get herself into a funk over it, however, Mrs. Winter spoke, and the class quieted to listen. A seating assignment? Well, Siddie reflected, at least that meant that people couldn't group up with everyone they knew and leave a few remaining singles orbiting by themselves. She took her new spot, glancing at the boil and ghoul on either side of her, offering them friendly smiles.

Holly noticed neither guys had sat down yet. She saw one guy just standing around and she looked at him. "Hey, I think you sit here." She pointed to the seat to her right. Was he lost? Wait, could he read?
The fox ghost looked around to the ones she was near. Might as well attempt to make friends. "So, who are you two? I'm Holly."

It was hard for Livi to not smile. Finally, after he had been wishing for a class like this, one cropped up! To learn such basics was always needed and it never hurt for another to learn how to properly behave themselves given any type of social interactions. And just hearing their new teacher speak made him happy! Though his internal happiness was kept inward, he took to the seating chart without much issue. Especially once he found out that he was seated next to his little protege. Perfect! He wasn't quiet familiar with the Little Wolf on his opposite side, but now was as good as any time to learn, he supposed.
Helping out Amrita, in case the girl was feeling nervous about such things, he pulled out her chair and pushed it in once she had settled. It was something he was slowly teaching the ghoul anyway so she was used to him doing it without much asking. Hopefully used to it, she still liked to voice a complaint or two at times. He would have also helped LW sit down, yet he noticed that Jericho was on the opposite side of her and he was sure the boil was gentleman enough to seat her properly. With that thought in mind, he settled down into his seat and straightened his jacket before looking to those he recognized.
Ah, he knew Riley from the trip; Ren of a sort from the night past... naturally, he knew Barth. But he smiled more at seeing Alessa and bowed his head to her. It was good to see her again after the trip. Her question made him curious and he gave a light shrug. "Maybe for only a bit, Miss Alessa. If only to get used to each other for awhile, I think." He didn't put the Miss in there to be rude, but it was just how he was when he was adjusting. They had lost each other in Christmas town and if he spent more time with her, he most likely would have dropped the Miss. But to the others, he gave slight nods of greeting as well. However, he glanced over at LW when she spoke and smiled gently. "Greetings. I'm Livi. A pleasure to meet you, Miss LW."

When LW suddenly addressed him, Christof tensed, but when it was compliments that followed, he relaxed a little, flushing in a few of his patches. He nodded thank you to her compliment, tapping the brim of his hat before reaching into his coat pocket for one of his cards before offering it out to her. It read "Hello, My name is Christof" simply enough. It was one of his pre-printed ones, so she wouldn't have to struggle with his sloppy hand writing. He wasn't so sure about the Boil on his other side, who seemed grumpy about his position at the end of the table, and would have offered to switch with him if he hadn't feared the Teacher's wrath. The little werewolf seemed nice enough, though, and she had a charming face one could trust easily.
This reminded him a bit of his Igor-schooling, learning the ropes of how one should behave, and he hoped the teacher knew a bit about his own culture- he knew properly trained Igors were a rare thing, usually kept by their creators as manufactured servants trained to their specific tastes. It was odd BEING at the table, though- usually when this sort of situation came up, it was his job to hold the tray of drinks and set the table, but not eat AT the table. No, the patchwork servants were usually supposed to eat in the kitchen with the other staff. He felt out of place, but it was all a learning experience, right? Right. He wasn't breaking any rules if the teacher had TOLD him to sit there.

Riley never noticed Christof's staring. She was preoccupied with the conversation that she had been surreptitiously listening to without acknowleding it, before the professor had called the class to order. One student, in particular, had mentioned something of interest. Riley had clamped down on the bite of information and, until the professor had snapped her out of it, did not let go.
"Oddly enough, that's were I first spawned, not here."
Riley's eyes side-glanced at Holly for a moment, clearly intrigued. That new ghoul had just admitted to spawning.. in Christmastown. In. Christmastown.
Malodore would be ever so pleased at her find.
The professor's seating chart took Riley by surprise, and she gave it a good look. She didn't know the names of the students she sat by, but it hardly mattered. She slipped out of her seat, moving effortlessly past Christof with an unconscious pat to the head in an affectionate greeting, but she stopped as she walked by Jericho. Her face contorted slightly, and one eyebrow raised.
Nice suit. She murmured in amusement, tugging at his collar. She then noticed that Christof, too, had changed for this class. At his outfit, she couldn't help but smile. Oh, what will I do with you two handsome boils. She teased them both.
She would appropriately wait for their responses, before heading around the table to her seat. An eloquent slide into the chair had her sitting comfortably between Calder and Ren, two unknowns. Further study of the table made her notice the boil directly in front of her. She lifted her long fingers and gave Gabrian a quick finger curling wave as greeting.
Beside him was the student who's captured her interest from before, and Riley's eyes slit slightly as she eyed Holly for a moment. She didn't meant to look predatory.. but the effect was there, intentional or not.

Charlie's eye twitched at the girl in the fox suit who claimed that he sat next to her. The eye didn't twitch because he disapproved of the girl as much as it twitched because he had no idea who this girl in the fox suit was or how she knew him. He'd only met two other students so far and had never laid eyes on this girl.
That was unless....
"S-S-STALKER!" It came out in a yell gasp. The pink haired demon inched closer and closer to the door almost shaking. A run for it that was what he'd do! They'd never catch him!
The door got closer and closer as Charlie inched further and further away from the table. He reached out for the nob with one sleeve covered hand. Almost there.....
