Ryan "Oh..." Ryan thought about this for a moment. "Well... That's cool then. Haha, I dunno... Maybe you're just a bit too short." he winked, then continued on to respond to Cassie's question. "Uhm, dunno. Prob a random shadow monster."

Cassie nodded and looked up as she heard the training whistles again. "Somebody really needs to break those stupid things. Ready Raya?"

Raya popped her knuckles, "Yep." She adopted a defensive, but strange stance. It didn't seem to match any martial style that anyone had ever seen. She smiled, "After you, Cassie."

Cassie paused, working out a quick strategy that would hopefully get past her opponent. After a moment, she rushed forward, feinting to the left to try and get around Raya.

Raya pivoted on her foot,keeping Cassie in her line of sight. She bounced back and forth from foot to foot, ever so slightly. She kept her weight in constant motion, distributing it from one side to the other. She watched the other girl, but didn't attack. One hand stayed in front of her face, while the other rocked side to side in time with her own personal rhythm.

Cassie huffed, slightly irked that Raya hadn't made a move besides dodging. She lunged forward after a moment, managing to grab the fabric of her opponent's shirt. She smirked a little and pulled Raya closer by her shirt, aiming a punch into her abdomen.

Raya brought her elbow down hard on Cassie's wrist, then shot her forearm down to block the punch. This girl was an aggressive fighter, so far, so Raya decided she should be faster. She tossed her head forward, looking to head-butt Cassie.

Cassie hissed softly and pulled her hand back, looking up in time to see the head-butt coming, but not soon enough to block it. She leaned back, trying keep as much distant between herself and Raya, only managing to lose her footing and precariously balance herself.

Raya's head thunked against Cassie's with a sickening thud. Completely unphased, Raya shot her hand forward and caught the girl's shirt to keep her from falling backwards. She jerked Cassie forward and held out her foot to trip her.

Cassie's eyes teared up as Raya's head clashed against her own. She squinted through the moisture, gripping the girl's wrist that held onto her own shirt. She fell of course, when Raya tripped her, but the hold on her opponent's wrist caused Raya to fall with her, Cassie effectively landing an elbow into the girl's stomach.

Raya grunted in pain. That had been unexpected. She kicked out and pulled free of Cassie, rolling away, then jumping up. She rubbed her stomach and tried to regain control of her breath.

Cassie stood, rubbing her head and blinking the moisture out of her eyes. Slowly, she regained her fighting stance "Your move, Raya."

"So it seems." She bounced from foot to foot. She charged towards Cassie, dropping down and sliding between her legs. She popped up on the other side and aimed a kick into her back.

Cassie yelped softly in pain, managing to catch herself on a handstand and get back on her feet, wincing in pain. She ran at Raya, aiming a punch at her right cheek. When the blow hit, she grabbed her opponent's wrist, so the girl wouldn't fall, and then slammed her onto the ground.

Raya grabbed hold of Cassie's wrist as she was slammed into onto the ground. She hauled herself up with Cassie's arm, then drove her fist into the girl's stomach. She backed up quickly, just starting to regain her composure.
