"Oh... well good." He puffed out his chest proud of what he did. "Anyone who wants to be you mate had to go through me first." He looked away as he snorted. He wasn't going to just let anyone become her mate. He had to be able to protect her and keep her safe. "Thanks..." He blushed as he smiled and nudged her back.

Aelewen smiled at him, "They have to go through you huh? Then I shall never get a mate." She teased, "You will find something wrong with each and every one of them." She giggled, "I know you User, you are notoriously picky." She leaned over and nuzzled his neck affectionately. He was her closest friend, and she was hoping that maybe he would want to be something more and that was why he couldn't stand the idea of another man mating with her.

"Yeah... thats right." User nodded his head. "If they want you they first have to come through me... Im not going to have some male who treats you like dirt come into your life..." He then realized what he had said. "I mean... not that... you cant handle yourself..." He laughed nervously. "Huh? well you don't know that. And besides... I will not try to find something wrong with them. That would just be... jealousy." He blushed as he looked away. "Mm..." He glanced at her when she nuzzled his neck and blushed.

"You are so jealous...." Aelewen giggled as she looked over at her long time friend. "That is the only explanation for why you care who i mate with." She regarded him closely, "Though I have to admit that I care who you mate with also." her cheeks had a hint of pink on them as she looked away. "Only a little bit though.....not much...."

User rolled his eyes as he looked away.
"I am not Jealous..." He then glanced back at her. "I just... want to be sure that the person you mate with will be a good fox... You know..." He then looked at her surprised. "You... you do...?" He didn't think that she cared. "Oh..."

"Yeah of course....do you think that I would let just any hussy come in here and steal away my best friend in the whole world. Hell no." She laughed as she bumped her hip against his. He couldn't help but chuckle at how she said the word hussy. For some reason it made him laugh. She was funny when she talked about things like this. It was hard to believe that they once really didn't like etch other. He couldn't help but remember back to when they were little. When they had first met they had a problem with one another. Now that they were grown up they had put all that behind them and it was like they started over. He chuckled.
"You know... back when we were kits... you would have never said that." He smiled as he looked at her. "You would have probably wished some horrible female on me." He chuckled as he bumped her back. "I'm glad though..." He blushed lightly. "thank you... care about who I choose..."

"Oh my god...You are so right." She giggled as she looked over at him, "I would have wished the most horrible female on you imaginable. But now that I am older, I want you to find someone that will make you happy." Aelewen blushed as she looked away. "How could I not care about who takes you away from me? After you get a mate...we won't be able to be friends anymore. At least not the kind of friends that we are now."

"See. I knew it." He chuckled. "I had the feeling you would have wished something like that one me." He smiled at her then shrugged. "Well Im not so sure that would be easy... cause not many people make me as happy as you." He gave her a blushing smile. "And thats not true... We would still be great friends..." He frowned. "I wouldn't let something like a mate get in the way of our friendship."

Aelewen looked at him and smiled, "I make you happy?" He tail was wagging happily behind her. He made her feel the same way. She wanted so much to come out and say that she wanted to be his mate but she didn't know how he was going to react to that.
"well...you make me happy too User....I wish...Mm..." She blushed as she looked away. She had almost said it out loud!

User blushed a little as he looked over at her. "Well... Yeah..." he looked away then glanced back up at her. He was blushing and felt really stupid for saying. She probibly didn't have any idea what he meant. He liked her but for some reason he couldn't just come out and say it. He then looked up at her. "Really? You... you do?" He smiled at her. "Wha... What do you wish...?"

She blushed, shaking her head. "Oh no....it is way too embarrassing to say out loud." Aele looked down at the ground. But from the continuing berating that he did about what she meant she finally blurted it out just so he would shut up, "I wish you were would take me as a mate!" She yelled, then turned away blushing, "Oh god....i cant believe i just said that."

"What do you mean?" he blinked as he looked at her. "Whats embarrassing?" He didn't quite understand. What could be so embarrassing that she couldn't talk to him about it...? "Uh!" His eyes widened at what she had said. "You... You what?" He couldn't believe his ears. Did she... did she really say that? He swallowed hard. "Mm... did... did you just say what I thought you said?" He looked at her.

Aelewen blushed as she looked away from him. She was too embarrassed to look him in the eyes. "That depends....what do you think I said to you?" She bit her lower lip as she looked intently at the ground. What if he didn't like her the same way that she liked him? She would die of humiliation. Maybe she should just leave now before he rejected her, yeah that sounded like a good idea. Maybe she would do that instead of repeating herself.

User couldn't believe what he had herd. She just said that she wanted him as a mate! He wanted to do a back flip then tackle her to the ground. Of course that wouldn't be a vary grown up thing to do. He blushed as he looked up at her and swallowed. She seemed to be worried about something. That was the last thing he wanted so he nodded and told her what he was sure he heard.
"Well... I heard that you... you wanted to be my mate..." He blushed. "Did... Did you... want to be my mate...?" He looked at her with hopeful eyes.
