Frederick raised an eyebrow, with a gentle sort of smile, but one that was intimidating. "Seems like a kind person, you say? Well, did you know that his family is under surveillance for harboring fugitives in his home? It's speculation that they may possibly be using their immense money to silence people from mentioning their little safe house for wanted criminals."

Clone felt even more afraid, who was this man and what did he want? "Wh-why are you telling me then?" she asked, a nervous and confused tone in her voice. She looked at Aaron from where she was standing. She was positive he wasn't a bad person, if he was bad he wouldn't have helped her and then apologized for the mess.

"Oh?" Frederick looked intrigued. "So he's helped you before. What is it he did for you, exactly?" He asked, leaning back a little in his chair.
Aaron had his head down and his arms over him like a feeble attempt to keep from a bomb falling. He could sense it, the ridicule, the eyes on him. Hannah had to whisper to him to calm down, and asked if he wanted to leave.
"But we..." He whispered, "Didn't get the recipes yet... And I really want them."
Hannah sighed, "You're impossible sometimes, Aaron."

Clone's eyes widened...how was he able to tell? She tightened her grip on her serving tray as she spoke "W-well, h-he helped me deal w-with a very rude customer..." she said quietly. Her tail continued swishing about, she felt so afraid of this man...but she didn't know why.

"Hmmm... By kicking him, perhaps?" He asked, looking at Clone piercingly. "That boy has a long history of violence. Ever since he left his poor mother to rot in a madhouse. And yet here he is in a lab of luxury, housing strangers, and criminals no less, beating innocent civilians."
'How does he know about that?!' Aaron cried in his mind, 'Did he read it?! Did he read it in my mind?!' He was shaking with fear and anger. How dare he talk about his mother, and yet... He couldn't do a thing, or he could destroy Aaron.
"All I am saying, miss..." Frederick said, "Is that you should get to know your customers a little better. Like the young lady behind me." He said about Vanessa, "A pirate, its clear from the clothing. Do you know what pirates do, miss?" He asked, looking very concerned for her.

Clone had taken a step back when he had looked at her piercingly. "Th-th-they aren't causing a-any trouble in here." she stammered, not answering his question about pirates. Her tiger ears drooped, this man was really scary to her. How did he know all this stuff? What does he want!?

"Not yet." Frederick said with an almost icy tone. "But inevitably, they will cause you trouble... One way or another." Then he looked back at the kitchen. "So how long will my water be?" He asked in a lighter tone.

Clone said nothing until he mentioned water "O-oh, uh, g-getting it right now!" she said then scurried off to get the man his water, glad to get away from him.
As she got his water several thoughts went through her head. Somehow, I don't think he came to order a meal...why was he saying such things? she mentally sighed He's really scary!

"Hm," He uttered, and turned his head to the side. He then looked out of his peripheral vision to Vanessa, then looked at her full on with a charming smile. If it wasn't for his previous actions and people leaving immediately before, one would think he was a very charismatic, very cool guy. Though truly, there was something very sinister about him.

Vanessa frowned slightly as the intimidating man sat in the table between the girl and her. Well, that ruined her fun. She eyed him warily from the corner of her eye, nodding at the waitress with a grin as she set the food down in front of her. She began to eat slowly, never letting her gaze on the odd man falter. She could hear what the man was saying, even though he was trying not to let the other table hear. He sure knew a lot of information. An important person then.
'Oh s**t!' Vanessa's eyes flashed and widened slightly in shock before she regained composure, her eyes showing her disgust and annoyance. Sure, she knew she was obviously a pirate, but she hadn't even done anything yet! When he let the waitress get him some water, she ate her meal quietly, until she felt a gaze digging a hole in her. She daringly met his gaze, grinning back with an equally charming smile, before tipping her hat towards him. She could have been just as easily fooled by the man's act, but something seemed off about him.

"Hm." The man replied with a dimpled smirk before calmly taking a small sip of the water. He set something on the counter, and then got up and left. But not without stopping at Hannah and Aaron's table. "I'll find evidence... Your time is numbered." He set something down at their table, and the two terrified people looked at it frozen. It looked like... A gun? "Wha-"

As soon as the intimidating man walked out of the building, Vanessa let out a barely audible sound of relief, before quietly finishing her meal. She glanced over at the table two across from her, watching the two petrified people. 'Is that a gun?' Her eyebrows furrowed as she watched the them silently. If she could get the girl's attention and ask who the man was it'd be nice. But she was a pirate. Would they tell her? 'Maybe if I act nice?'

Hannah hid the gun away, not sure what else to do. Aaron raised an eyebrow. "It must be a trick... I don't know why else he would give us a gun."
"What was he talking about with the waitress? That's what I'd like to know." Hannah said with a huff. "It couldn't be anything good..." She made eye contact with the pirate, and wondered... Maybe she heard the transaction. But would a pirate speak to them? She wondered...

'Oh, she's lookin' at me again.' This time, Vanessa wasn't grinning. 'I want 'ta take a look at that gun.' She could tell there was something that girl wanted too. An exchange of information maybe? Hm. Sure, why not. 'If you come over here and bring the gun, I'll tell you what you want,' she mouthed. 'If ya tell me what I want 'ta know too.'

Hannah was urked. 'Wha- she wants something from ME? Hmmm...' "Aaron, stay here and wait for your recipes, I'll be right back."
"Wait, what? Hannah what are you-" Aaron was going to make Hannah stay, but his nerves wouldn't let him leave the table. Hannah went over fearlessly, and sat on the other end of the pirate's table. She folded her hands, like they were in the middle of a drug deal, and leaned i lightly, shifting her eyes like they were in the middle of a top secret transaction. And in a way, they were. "So... We can do this the easy way, or the hard way."
