Distinguishing Features: Multiple thin scars on his arms and legs, a sign that he has been in many fights in his life.

~Character History~
Orphaned as a young child due to what was explained to him as a "family sickness", Shinji has been alone, left to fend for himself for as long as he could remember. The reality was that his parent's sickness was alcohol, and both of his parents had succumb to the liquor's nasty after effects... his mother dying of liver poisoning, while his father died in a bar fight around the same time. Having no desire to know them, or to learn anything about them since he had never met them however, Shinji always just left it as "family sickness", but wondered if perhaps it was something he needed to worry about succumbing to if both of his parents had died from it.

Being of good physical stock however, Shinji has always had an impressive build, only strengthened through his constant training to keep himself strong, both to fend off the "family sickness", but also to defend himself and be seen as a threat to others. Having been in multiple fights over the years, with weapons and without, his arms and chest bear many small scars, which he calls his "memories" of past fights. Every one has a story, and Shinji is rather found of recalling them and explaining them to others. Ironically, Shinji hates alcohol, and can't stand to stomach the stuff... but has been working as a bartender for years. He fell into the role when visiting one day, 'resolving' a conflict with his own usual flare and then ordering a glass of milk. The owners hired him quickly thereafter, particularly liking him for the fact that he can both keep order in the joint with his fighting skills and because he didn't drink the expensive alcohol behind the bar like so many other bartenders did.

Enjoying his life for the most part, Shinji liked the bar and enjoyed the excitement it brought. Always being one to never seek violence, but enjoying a good fight when it came, naturally, when Shinji heard about this new thing called 'ninjutsu' he found a local sensei, convincing him to train him. The man taught him the basics, but then departed for war in a foreign country as he was ordered to do by his village. However, when the opening of the XRP was mentioned, nothing consumed Shinji's mind more then the thought of participating and becoming an international fighting champion. With permission to work part-time given by his employers, Shinji went off with his small savings and left for the XRP to sign up and find an agency which would take him. He then planned to fight his way to the top as he had been doing his entire life already.
