Having tasted the blood of something, Stonebeak was now certain that this is what she wanted to target.
The thickness of the cat's fur was aggravating at best, and she flapped and hopped, aiming to rake her claws along the soft flesh of its sides.

Leandar was fuming, and that would've been quite the thing to see. The fun-loving wildcat wasn't quick to anger, but this whole situation was enraging. Coming to fangroot, he had expected nothing of the sort despite their less than friendly reputation. Following the barrage of hits, his feline body was low to the ground, and he was poised for attack. Moving quickly he threw a series of jabs at Baneberry.

Laird had ducked down to avoid the rabbits kick and would have turned his attention to it had the Falcon's eye not caught Leander hitting Baneberry good and heart." He bleeds and you die" the enraged raptor shrieked hopping forward intending to use his wickedly curved beak this time to hurt the wildcat.

Missing his target, Robert rolled until he hit a tree.
Ack!
He ended up upside down, head pressed against the ground, legs propped up against the tree. A little wiggle made him topple over, and he groaned as he held his head. This was NOT going well.
Looking over, he saw Leander being attacked from all sides. This was not going well. The situation was already out of their favour when it was 3 versus 2, but now it seemed they had all diverted their attention towards Leander.
Not sure whether to feel relieved or insulted he was ignored, he rushed toward the crowd, preparing to strike Baneberry. He didn't like the idea of striking a child, but they had no choice. Maybe if they scared the child enough, it would made the other 2 retreat... or just agitate them more.
It was a risk he would have to take.

Bane was no match for the two grown animals turning their rage on him. They both hit hard and fast and he collapsed beneath the strength of their attacks. When got unsteadily to his feet, it was clear that they had miscalculated. Blood soaked his fur, mixing with his tears as he screamed loudly, rallying his companions.
"KILL 'EM DEAD." Wiping away the salty red from his eyes, he struck out at Leander. How dare they invade his home, and then make him bleed?

Blood was the word for it. Her talons, and front were starting to coat in it. Not just the cat's, but Baneberry's, and the rabbit's, and definitely some of hers somewhere along the line.
It was apparent to her, quite quickly, that if something was not done quickly, it would be Baneberry's limp form she'd have to help home, and the small victory, however slight, for what she had determined the enemy.
"Thieves aren't allowed to win!" She shouted angrily before plunging her beak towards Leander's neck to end the battle and toss him from the fray.

" Weaklings die here," Laird crowed, even though the unconscious wildcat still lived. It would only be for a short time if the raptor had his way, but first, he must deal with the remaining trespasser. The one who'd dared to openly attack him only moments earlier.
Laird flapped his powerful wings hard and gained just enough height to be able to dive forward, talons extended towards the rabbit's face.

Eyes widened as claws made their way towards his face, and and he ducked, yet not soon enough. He felt a sharp pain in his left ear as the talon manged to nick the side, making a small yet painful cut.
On all fours, he noticed Leander had been rendered unconscious, a bloody mess on the ground.
"Leander!"
He rushed over, flipping him onto his back, making sure he was still alive. The heartbeat was faint, but still there. There was nothing they could do now. The fight had been lost.
Facing the other two who seemed to be looking at them with contempt, Robert stood and put his paws out, as if trying to shield Leander from any more attacks. At least this way, if that Raptor tried attacking again, he would hit him first. If Leander took another hit, he was pretty sure he'd be seeing the great tree beyond.
"Stop! It's done!" he said to the female raptor and young ferret. "We're sorry for trespassing. We meant no harm. We only fought back to protect ourselves, please understand. If you leave us be, we'll be on our way."
He only hoped they would accept his request. He wasn't sure if he could drag Leander's limp body back if he took anymore hits. It would be tough finding a healer for the both of them...

"So you're liars, as well as theives!" Bane cried, holding a bloody, torn arm against his body. Despite his wounds, his spirit went uninjured. "Mayhaps yer friend should've said his sorries afore, rather than challenging me 'n my home, straight off, then!" Sneering, he spat, blood upon the ground near Leander.
"Funny 'ow yer sort means 'no harm', after th' harm's been done already!" Shuffling over to Laird, he leaned against the raptor, giving in despite his words. "Begone with ya, then, 'n take yer mangy cat with ya. We know what sort the Hallowmarl breeds, now!"
A large speech for such a little creature, but he felt no remorse for Leander's condition. Another strike or two, and it would be him lying on the ground, those two cackling their victory about him.
After Robert had left, taking Leander's limp form with him, Baneberry allowed himself to be tended to, enduring Laird's lectures, and Stonebeak's angry caws.
