He closed his eyes and began to think of it.The very thought of Vane doing so just made him feel like home.Where his brothers were...and his sister...
"Vane...why do you make me feel so safe?"he whispered.Strong hands were now reaching into him and drawing out his pain.
"Okay.The good news is that you're alive.The bad news...it passed on."the doctor said,wrapping the bundle up.

 Vane Nykyrian Wade Vane continued to whisper to Sifen as he looked to the doctor. His ears would twitch from time to time and rub against Sifen's cheek or neck. As Vane heard Sifen speak he whispered back to him softly. "I do not know, but what I do know is that you make me feel the same way." Vane looked to the doctor when he heard him say that the child hadn't made it. He hugged Sifen as he spoke softly to the doctor. "Is there any way to tell if he will be able to not get so hurt if he get pregnant again doctor? Would there be anything we could maybe do to strengthen his body for when this happens again?" Before answering Vane the doctor takes the child out to his car and puts it in a small crib and covers it with another blanket before walking back into the bathroom. Vane is still holding onto Sifen whispering softly to him. "I'm sorry Sifen, I wish I could have made things different for you."

"I've tried everything to strengthen his body,but the years of abuse have made it so weak and vulnerable.And tell him to come by my office next week for a medication refill."he said,standing up and shaking Vane's hand,then leaving.
Upon hearing how Vane was concerned,the vampire got up,cleaned himself off and held the fox-boy close.His hair was slightly damp,making for his bangs to cover his eyes.It worked well,as he was crying,something that showed weakness.
"....why me...?"

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane shook the doctors hand and gave a nod of his head as he followed the doctor to the front door before closing it after the doctor left. He had wanted to ask if there was some way to possibly make it so that instead of Sifen having to bare the children that he could in his stead but chose not to ask the doctor that for fear of sounding like a fool. He walked back into the bathroom and just held Sifen in his arms once Sifen had gotten out of the tub. Vane nuzzled Sifen's cheek and neck as he spoke softly to him, asking him the question he had wanted to ask the doctor. "Sifen, what if it wasn't you? What if there was a way for me to take your place? I-I'd do that for y-you." Vane buried his face against Sifen's neck as he spoke softly, a blush creeping up his neck to his cheeks. "I-I don't know if it is p-possible and it might sound s-stupid but maybe if your body is able to build up its strength for a few years a birth won't be a problem. Maybe thats all you need, maybe your body just needs a break for a few years." (())

He nodded silently."Vane,help me get dressed.I need to make dinner for us."After saying those words,a slight blush appeared on his face.Could love have struck him?
"There's a pair of jeans on my bed...maybe grab that black and white shirt from my shelf.The 3rd one."

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane smiled slightly and nodded his head as he left the bathroom to go upstairs and grab the pants and shirt from Sifen's room. Once he grabbed up the clothing he walked back into the bathroom and handed Sifen the pants, holding onto the shirt until Sifen is able to put the pants on. "You don't have to make me anything Sifen." (())

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane slowly followed behind Sifen as they wanted into the kitchen. When Sifen asked why he liked him a blush crept up from his neck to his cheeks as he looked to the floor. "Oh well, um, I like you because you seem to not care that I'm different. And because you make me feel special or different." (())

"Is that so?Well,that's different."he said,taking some tea out of a canister.The male wasn't fond of coffee,saying it smelled awful.After getting some water heated up,the beverage was ready.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane nodded his head as he leaned against the wall as his tail twitched about his legs. As the tea was prepared he sniffed the air slightly and sighed at the scent of the tea and Sifen. "Is being different bad?" He asked with a slightly scared tone of voice. His eyes were cast downward as he spoke, scared of being rejected because he was different.
When Sifen asked if this was his true form or not he shook his head slightly and spoke in a soft tone. "No, my true form is my wolf form." (())

"Back home,it is.However,I see that it is not loved here."the male said,sipping the tea slowly.He scratched behind Vane's ear,hoping it would make him feel better.A tear fell down his face while doing so.For once,someone did not yell or tear at him.
Standing up,he looked at the fox."Do you have a human side?"he asked.

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane lowered his head as he heard what Sifen said, feeling a little sad that being different would be a problem for him no matter where he went. As he felt Sifen scratch behind his ear he looked up to Sifen and gave him a slight smile. "This is my human form, but no matter what I am still different because even in this form I have my ears and tails." He looked to Sifen for a little longer before lowering her eyes. (())

"Don't worry...let's hope we can rough out the exile together."the vampire said,pulling up a chair for Vane.So many years away from home...
~Flashback~
"Daddy!Don't go!I don't want you to go!"a blonde girl cried out,running towards him,only to be held back by a man in a military uniform.With a snap of his fingers,2 heavily armed soldiers dragged her away,back to the barricade.
"Amber...it's okay.I...I'll be fine.Take care of your aunt and uncle.The Fuhrer made her decision."he whispered quietly as the shackles were removed.As punishment for defying orders,he was to be exiled to a far off land where vampires were not as common.
The girl only wailed as a low hum could be heard from the background."Shh...it's okay."a woman in red whispered.
Those were the last words Sifen remembered before being sent into the portal...

Vane Nykyrian WadeVane gave a slight nod as he sat down in the chair Sifen had pulled out for him. He looked to Sifen, wishing he could do something to make him happy, but felt like he wouldn't be able to."I will stay with you for however long you wish me to stay Sifen. I have no reason to return to my home so I can stay for however long you can stand me."He hung his head slightly at that and closed his eyes. He had learned long ago that most people couldn't stand him for even a few minutes.
*Flashback*
>>11 year old Vane was running around the forest in his wolf form trying to catch up to the other children, wanting to play with them. Suddenly they all stop and surround him, slowly closing in on him as he pauses not knowing what was happening. Soon they all started attacking him, biting him, clawing him and just trying to cause as much damage as possible.
>>He slowly limps back to his den and when he is spotted by his mother she turns her back on him and ignores him. He limps into his room in the den and curls up and licks at the wounds covering his body. It takes him weeks to fully heal, even with his ability to heal faster then normal.
>>Later on after he healed he walks through the forest and his pack. He hears what they are whispering about him and feels their eyes boring into him. He tried to ignore it all, to not show any weakness in front of them, knowing that if he did he would be punished severely if not killed. He already knew this fact because even as a young pup of only a few years he had shown a weakness and had been punished for it.
>>Later that night Vane curls up in his part of the den and silently weeps, asking himself many questions like these. 'Why do they hate me so much? What have I done wrong? What have I done to make them despise me? Why do they wish me dead? Why do they want me out of the pack? Why does mother not love me like she does my brother? Why do I not have a father like my brother does? Why did my father leave me? Did I make him leave somehow?'>>Vane laid there crying until he exhausted himself to the point where he passed out with tears still slipping down his cheeks.
*Flashback End*
Vane shook his head as he felt a tear slide down his cheek. He wiped at it quickly, not wanting to show such weakness, fearing he would be punished for it. His body was tense, waiting and ready for the punishment for shedding a tear. But when nothing happened he looked about slowly noticing finally that he wasn't in the presence of his pack. He allowed his body to slowly relax as he spoke softly to Sifen."Sifen, is there a-anything I can do to h-help you r-relax? Or do you want me to l-leave and not r-return."He was scared that the male was already tired of him, that was why he asked that last question. He didn't want to leave, actually hoped that for once someone would want him to stay with them for more then a few minutes. (())

"...Stay with me.You remind me so much of home."he said,petting the boy's head.Memories of being with his sister and brother flashed through his mind.Would they be safe without him there?
War has imminent from what they last told him and the children were being brainwashed to follow new orders.Amber was now being retaught methods of false diplomacy,as human knowledge had been made illegal back home.
