Tonks took a deep breath, and began. "When I was four, my parents found a five-year-old kid living in the alleyway next to our house. He was covered in scratches and bites. We took him in, and he became my adopted big brother. He just kept saying that he ran away from home, and refused to say why. But then he started disappearing once a month. My dad only said that he had a 'little furry problem' which he needed to take care of. My dad was a scientist, and had been working on a cure for something, and never told me why. When he finished, he gave a bottle of it to my new brother. Now once a month, he just locked himself in his room. It wasn't until I was ten that my parents finally told me what he was: a werewolf." Her eyes were closed at this point. "That little boy was...is....Remus John Lupin."

Max's eyes opened wide."What!? Mr Lupin, a.... a werewolf!? I ...I cant believe it..." She said. She didnt know what to say. "So... thats why he ignores me now?" She asked quietly.

Tonks nodded once, opening her eyes. "He thinks that the baby will end up a werewolf, like him. Werewolves don't usually breed, you see. Lupin was only able to stay in society because of the Wolfsbane Potion. No other werewolves are that lucky, so they aren't able to have wives or kids."

Max nodded, "I.... I understand now. I must get going...." Max said, and hurried herself out the classroom. She went to her next class, science, then she had lunch after that.

Tonks sighed, feeling she had done an awful job of explaing it to Max. Nevertheless, she got to her feet and cleaned up(after tripping and making a mess herself), then went to the cafeteria. She got some food, then saw Lupin eating at the teachers' table, located in a corner of the cafeteria. Well, he never really ate, but just sat there. Tonks sat down next to him. "Well, Remus, you're gonna hate me but I told Max about your Furry Little Problem."
Lupin rubbed his eyes. "Great, now she's going to hate me even more. Look Tonks I know you're trying to help, but I think you made it worse."
"Eh, I always do that. But Remus, I want you to know that Max does NOT hate you."

Max sat next to Julie still thinking about how Mr. Lupin was a werewolf. She slowly ate, not really hungry. She heard Julie, Josh, and Makayla talking about stuff. She nodded at times when they asked her a question. "Come on, Max. Isnt Chad cute!" Julie said, trying to get Max to talk. "Huh, uh sure." She said. She finally finished her lunch about 10 minutes before lunch ended. Everyone was finished 10 minutes earlier than Max, but she didnt care much.

"Yeah, right." Lupin muttered, unconvinced. "Listen, no offense, but you're not exactly the most, well, trusting person."
"No offense taken. But seriously, get over it. SHE. DOES. NOT. HATE. YOU."
"How do you know?"
"Because I talked to her, and I can tell from her tone of voice she isn't pissed at you."

Max watched the clock, waiting for lunch to end. It seemed like it took forever. "Hey Max, Wanna go to the mall with us?" Asked Josh. "Uh Sure." Max said, with a short nod.

"Mhm." Lupin stood, and walked away, passing Max's table.
Tonks, annoyed, got up and followed him. "Reeeemuuus! Remus will you just LISTEN to me?!"

(Omfg I just wrote a huge giant paragraph and then it erased D: crying )
Max looked behind her to watch Mr Lupin and Professor Tonks to leave the cafeteria. She looked back at her friends, "When are we going to the mall?" She asked. "This saturday at 2." Julie and Josh answered at the same time. Julie and Josh where going out at the momment, which was weird for Max because her best friends are going out with each other. But they did seem like a good couple. Max nodded, "Okay." She said.

"For God's sake Remus! Listen to me!" was the last thing in Max's hearing range before they continued down the hall.
Lupin stopped walking and turned around to face her. "Tonks, you listen to me. She hates me. I know because if I was her, I would. I appreciate your attempt at comforting me, but it's not working. I'm sorry." He then continued walking, leaving a half annoyed, half pitying Tonks alone in the hallway.

(Yea it was so unfair! XD)
Max looked at the clock, and then the bell rung. She got her books together, and left the cafeteria with tons of other people. Max had a smile on her face, to show people that nothing was the matter. She walked to her next class which was health. Josh, and her other friend Makayla was there as well. Max had mainly three friends. But she'll talk to other students once and a while.

In the middle of Health class, Tonks walked into the door.
"And then we...." Mrs. Camo's voice drifted off as Tonks entered. "Can I help you?"
"Oh. Sorry for the interuption." Tonks apologized, walking up to Mrs. Camo and handing her a note. "Professor Lupin told me to give you this." she muttered. Mrs. Camo read the note, and nodded. "All right. Tell him to come in after school. I'll give him a refill." she murmured back. Tonks nodded and left.
(Oooohhh mysterrriiouuus)
"As I was saying," Mrs. Camo continued, "Then we....Yes, Miss Parkinson?" She was obviously getting irritated.
"What was that about?" Pansy Parkinson asked.

Max looked at Pansy, then back at the teacher. "Yea what was that about." Max said quietly. She sat up straight in her chair, and had her hands on her desk.

"That's none of your concern, Miss Parkinson. Now if I can-what, Miss Brown?"
"What did Professor Lupin need a refill of?" asked Lavender Brown.
"Professor Lupin's prescrptions are-"
"So it's a kind of medicine?" piped up Colin Crester.
"Professor Lupin needs a special medicine which I provide for him and he currently needs a refill of it. It has nothing to do with this lesson so the next person who raises their hand with a question un-related to the subject of CPR then they will recieve detention!" Mrs. Camo snapped, saying all this very quickly, so that nobody could interupt her.
