I'm used to opening my own doors and splitting the checks

I bought a new dress, he never noticedScarlet Macey Blaire Macey stood idly by as Tyler asked for directions to a place fitting her description. In a way she was kind of excited. Other than that morning, it had been forever since she'd been to a beach. She missed the ocean, whether it be Atlantic or Pacific or ended up being the Gulf of Mexico.
Once Ty backed away from the cab, she laughed at his joke. "Like you'd ever see him again to do so..." She teased. She liked letting him lead the way, and was glad he asked for directions. She had always heard that guys didn't like asking directions. Maybe that was just a myth. Or, maybe, Tyler was different.
Well, from what she already knew, he was different. Different than most guys she dated anyways. He was more quiet. They were all loud. He was sweet, they were lewd. Huh...maybe that was why she'd ended up breaking up with all the rest. Always falling for these bad boys, such a challenge
I'm getting tired, of cleaning up after them
I think I'm ready to be a woman

Ty laughed. "Yeah, fair enough." he said as they walked. He followed the directions and sure enough, ended up at the bar. He smiled. "Want to just start our dance?" he asked, hearing the music from down the street. It was really that loud.

I bought a new dress, he never noticedScarlet Macey Blaire Macey shook her head in protest. She didn't want to start randomly dancing on the sidewalk. "I'd trip over my own to feet as we danced our way there...uh uhh. No way!" She stated as firmly as she could. However, second's later she laughed at how she sounded.
At that moment she was glad she had her arm around Tyler, for she might have just tumbled foward onto the sidewalk. She was also glad she did decide to leave those heels behind. Wait. Didn't she already think that. Oh well. Her thoughts were pretty scattered right now.
They had already drifted to Tyler's hair. It was dark and gorgeous. His eyes were also kinda dark. Greyish, right? She didn't have interesting eyes. Her eyes were plain old brown. Marvin got the interesting eyes. His were hazel. Ah, genetics. They could be so mean sometimes. Always falling for these bad boys, such a challenge

Tyler laughed, helping her stand after she stumbled a bit. "I meant do we go to the bar for a few drinks, or just right to the beach?" he asked with a laugh.

I bought a new dress, he never noticedScarlet Macey Blaire Macey pondered a moment. Hmm. Choices, choices. "Let's get a drink or two before heading out to the beach." She suggested. Maybe they could buy a few bottles of what each wanted to drink, then head to the beach to drink them. Yeah, that sounded good. Wait. Crap! She didn't say it aloud.
"Maybe we could get some beer and winecoolers and head to the beach. That way we have a few drinks, and we can enjoy them on the beach..." She suggested, aloud this time. She blushed at her mental mistake. Mace was glad that they were almost there. Less awkward walking and talking left. Yay! Always falling for these bad boys, such a challenge

"Sounds like an excellent plan." Tyler said with a laugh. It would be a great little personal party for them. He led her up to the bar and bought a few bottles of beer and other drinks, bringing them down to the beach.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey was glad her idea was good. She walked with him as they entered the bar. He led her up so they could order. She made sure they got some of those fruity, girly wine coolers for her. She wasn't much of a beer drinker. It tasted funny to her.
It didn't take the bartender long to get them their order. So, with bottles clinking in a plastic bag, they made their way down to the shore. Their main source of light was the nearly full moon and what stars could be seen through the light pollution of the city. In all, there weren't many people around, and it was pretty.
She sat down her small bag of drinks on the sand. After she pulled her ipod and mini speakers out, her purse joined it. She connected the ipod to the speakers and started playing some random tune on her 'recently added' playlist. "It sure is nice out here...." She commented while taking a drink and opening it. This is the best one yet, and I´m so happy

To make things a little easier, Ty kicked off his shoes and smiled. "Yeah, it is. It's a perfect night. Beautiful full moon, it's warm, there's a bit of a breeze, and just the two of us." he said. He grinned. "Perfect." he added, popping the cap off one of the beers to start drinking.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey deliberated on whether or not she should take her shoes off after she watched Tyler remove his own. Eh, not yet. Maybe later she would. She tossed the lid from her bottle back into the bag. She didn't want to be a litter bug. Plus, those things would hurt if you stepped on them barefoot.
"Ah, the moon is almost full...." She corrected. Mace was all about stargazing back when she was a little kid. It was truthfully a waxing...waxing...Well, waxing something. She couldn't remember what it was called. "And, yes, it is just about perfect..." She stated before taking a good drink from her bottle.
Once she was finished. Macey sat the bottle down next to the bag. Then, she proceeded to wrap her arms around Tylers neck. He had said they were going to dance, right? . This is the best one yet, and I´m so happy

Tyler noticed she didn't take her shoes off, but didn't mind. He took a swig from his bottle when she talked about how the moon was almost full. Oh well. He smiled and took another swig, grinning when her arms wrapped around his neck. "What kind of dancing shall we do, Mace?" he said softly.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey shrugged at his question. She quite frankly didn't care. So, she rested her head against his chest, looking out over the ocean. Watching the waves was mesmerizing. The feel of the sea breeze was something she never appreciated before. Now that Marvin's ashes were out to sea, she probably would always notice the little things about it. Like he would always be part of the ocean.
"You decide...I don't mind, well, as long as it's not the fist pumping kind of dancing like in that one show..." She trailed off, closing her eyes momentarily. She was comfortable with her arms wrapped around him. It seemed welcoming and safe. Something she needed and wanted. . This is the best one yet, and I´m so happy

Ty nodded and thought it over. He liked this position, so he put his hands on her hips and slowly started to sway with her, smiling. "I like this." he said softly. It was nice.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey didn't realize that she had blushed when he placed his hands on her hips. Sure, a fair few guys had done it before, but it was different now. Maybe because it was Tyler's hands that were on her hips. She didn't know why, mainly because she didn't realize that she had done so. So, she just thought about Tyler.
She thought about how Tyler had always been around. About how he had treated her. About how, just a little while ago, they had kissed. About everything about him. Not a bad thing came to mind.
"I like you...." She unknowingly said aloud. Granted, it was softly, but she still said it. She blushed at the thought. She knew she had that time. She felt an intense rush of heat to her cheeks. Mace was glad he couldn't really see the color in the lack of light. Instead of worrying about it, she stared out at the waves once again. They were oddly calming, well, listening to them was. . This is the best one yet, and I´m so happy

Ty kissed her softly on the top of the head in response. He liked her too. She was different...she was always with him, she was sweet, and she liked him for who he was. And they'd kissed.
"I like you too, Macey...a lot, actually." he said softly.

Scarlet Macey Blaire Macey blushed at his words. So, she did say it aloud. She had thought she had only thought those words. Oh, well...The cat was out of the bag now. To be honest, Mace hadn't really realized that fact til that evening. She always thought of Ty as Marv's best friend, and only that because she'd heard what dating a siblings best friend could do. A whole lot of unnecessary drama was not something she needed, nor wanted. Plus, she didn't want her brother to lose his best friend and end up hating her. Well, maybe that was an extreme, but it was still a possibility.
Mace lifted her head up off his chest and looked up at him. Yes, he was handsome, even if he didn't realize it. She even liked the glasses he wore from time to time. They fit him so well. On a whim, she stood up on her tip toes and kissed what she could reach, his chin. She probably would have kissed him on the lips if she was an inch or two taller. She blushed lightly as she did it, but was glad she did. "Glad to hear it..." . This is the best one yet, and I´m so happy
