"BWUH?" More talking trees? Before Israfel could think a wave of JOY washed over him, making the siren cry out. "AH! It's all....JOYFUL and stuff!" then he heard something. In his head. It sounded..slightly female? Unsure, Israfel figure that was the cider fairy. And he knew you listened to cider fairies. They were good decision makers. Whapped upside the head by Braum, the Siren got off his butt and ran back to the larger grouping of students. The tiny toterror on his head laughing as it's master made a small chirp of fear as his wings wrapped around him best they could.
"Why so serious? Why so SERIOUS?" He whined to no one in particular. "Monstur in othur baffroom ur much....nastier. Nasty a**-" He stopped. "Just Nasty."
He waved to the drunk tree from afar. "I DUN HAZ CIDAH FUR EVERYONE. U GOTS SUM?"

ex o ex Snoof Chobi_Chocobo "Wow that was a nice one, here lemme try too!" The friendly tree thinks that this is some kind of game, and swings it branches at you in an alarming fashion. HP: 3 A thick branch flew at Corbin and collided roughly with his side, sending the Wraith spiraling into a snow bank. Gritting his teeth, he pulled himself up with a bit of difficulty. He moved a hand to his side, clutching the injury and trying to catch his breath.
Well, if that was how the tree wanted it.
Letting out a quiet growl, Corbin's wings flapped and caused a gust of wind and a blanket of snow to rise into the air behind him. His hands grabbed one of the branches roughly and his boot came down roughly, severing part of the branch from the tree. If the tree still thought it was a game after this, he was grossly mistaken.
((Corbin HP: 25 - 3 = 22 Attack: 8 - 6 = 2
Damage: 9 - 6 = 3 Tree HP: 3 - 2 = 1)) "I bet your hugs feel like sunshine and rainbows!" The tree reaches out to Corbin in an attempt to get a hug. HP: 1

Chobi_Chocobo "I bet your hugs feel like sunshine and rainbows!" The tree reaches out to Corbin in an attempt to get a hug. HP: 1 Tossing the branch down, feeling triumphant, Corbin didn't see the quick motion of the tree as more branches reached out. This time, they wrapped around his arms and torso, constricting him. The Crow let out a shout as the rough bark scraped against his skin, the smaller twigs ripping parts of his shirt and leaving irritated looking welts. Some blood was drawn as before, but it was minimal.
Corbin growled, unable to get out of the tree's grasp. His wings flapped wildly, legs kicking at the air in front of him as he attempted to squirm his way to freedom. "Off!" he roared, raising his voice for the first time during the entire trip. Pissed Corbin was pissed.

"Someone shouldn't ever be allowed to drink again, I think." Listening to Israfel talk at the moment was only making him more displeased but what could ya do? He probably would have found more amusement in him if the situation had been different. The sounds of continued rustling made his wings twitch in annoyance before yet another tree appeared. And this one seemed... happy?? "Where are the flames when you need them?" It was muttered but easy to hear regardless.
But seeing how they had targeted two of the cabin group made him a bit baffled. Were they supposed to help? Watch? It didn't seem right to not do anything but stand there... though West had the right idea by cheering 'em on, he supposed.

Marushii Sosiqui Marushii Sosiqui Malodore sighed and knelt next to the fallen siren, feeling vaguely responsible. "You aren't going to die," it explained, patiently. "Unless something that lives here eats you. Which it might. Have you had a look around? It's horribly festive, and not the good kind of horrible, either. Can you feel the..." It shuddered. "... JOY?" "Heeeeeey maaaaaaaan. Whu... whuddya meeeean parts'll fall offa yas huuuuuh? Hyuk hyuk!" Malodore shouldn't turn around. There was a tree that seemed to sway back and forth in an invisible wind. It offered a drunken wave to Israfel, before hiccuping and nearly tripping over Luce. HP: 5 Dannazione all'inferno, the tree was... the jacking tree was drunk?! ... Luce whirled on the tree furiously, barking and snapping! Unfortunately, while she tried to attach herself to as many branches as possible, she didn't seem to be doing a great deal of damage to it - although she was making a hell of a lot of noise. Malodore's HP: 25 Tree's HP: 5 "Whoooohahahaha! Haaaai there liddle buddeeeh! Yuh, yew wanna know if stuff falls off too?" The tree giggled, staggering around as Luce nipped at its branches. "Oh hey maaaaaaaan, di, didn't know you brought a parteeee along too," it replied to Israfel, hiccuping at all three sirens. HP: 5The tree's staggering made Luce lose her grip on the branch she was currently clinging onto with her jaws; she went end-over-end into a snowbank and popped out again snarling with fury. But before she could leap at the tree again, Malodore smoothly stepped between her and it, its gaze cold behind the lenses it wore. "Back to the hell you came from, albero bastardo," it said, voice absolutely deadpan, before it drew back one arm and let fly. It was only one scalpel, not really designed for throwing, but it still managed to ding the tree's trunk! Malodore's HP: 25
Tree's HP: 4

The cider fairy named Riley reached out as Israfel came running to the group, a little miffed that Braum had just slapped him with his wing. Sure, Israfel was loud, and drunk, and probably not helping.. but he wasn't hurting anyone, either. She was glad he'd listened and gotten away from the tree, at least.
Maladore, be careful. She sent out to the plague doctor as the drunk tree swayed near him. Any moment now, the terribly cheerful flora could take Maladore in it's wooden grip and send it flying down into that crevice of a mouth that ripped across it's branches. Honestly, she never knew these forests were this frightening. She'd have come by more often.
Suddenly she realized there were two trees, but the second one wasn't as drunk. Quickly she looked around at the rest of the trees that surrounded them, a sickening feeling filling her gut. Could they all come to life? Because if so.. they were surrounded.

Teheee." The tree continues to flail and sing.....badly. HP: 1 With increased excitement, the tree's hug seemed to tighten and Corbin let out another strained shout before he was released entirely. Beating his wings to claim as much distance from the tree as possible, he watched in confusion as it twirled around and kept trying to make a song out of the command.
As if on cue, the Stalkman in his pocket piped back up and blasted its volume as loud as it could to give the tree something real to dance and sing to. but it really wasn't very fitting. Fumbling quickly with the volume, Corbin lowered it enough--unable to make the Stalkman stop playing it entirely. Well, s**t, now he had a battle soundtrack, that was pretty bad a**.
Flapping his wings, Corbin charged once more and attempted to repeat the motion of breaking the tree's branches but to no avail. Its dancing and spinning was proving very effective as a dodge.

Braum huffed at Israfel's continued antics. Didn't he know that as a dignified bird, he was supposed to act with more decorum than this?!?!?! His only saving grace was the boy joined the rest of the group, and the raum rolled his eyes to follow him, if for nothing else than to make sure he didn't hurt himself. He couldnt' take care of Yaya and Bell right now, and he didn't even know if Junko was alright or not, but some inner protective duty deep within his core told him that since he couldn't watch after the girls, Israfel was a good second. He certainly did NOT want the boy to fight anything if they could avoid it, and so he hovered around the drunk siren like an irate bodyguard.
Giving a polite nod to Riley, feeling her demonic pressure and pushing out a small bit of his own, keeping his wings tucked in close.
"We should stay as tightly knit as possible. We're not sure how they spawn yet, and it would not do well to be caught off guard if we're surrounded," he warned, his voice low and hollow from his worries about others. He prayed to Odin, a habit he didn't do often, to take care of the girls and keep Ira at a manageable level of mischief.
"It would be best if we formed a circle around those with those Healing Bells......keep them in the center, protected, while those of us with weapons defend as long as we can," he advised, offering a defensive position for the group to take. The less people that could be targeted the better. He was a jerk, but he didn't ACTIVELY want anyone to get maimed or hurt, especially not by such horrifyingly cheerful creatures.

Before Lucien could even realize he had hit the ground he had realized there were roots very close to his head. There hadn't been a tree there before, had there? He slowly found himself pushing himself off the ground and untangling the lights from himself, coiling them neatly around his arm the best he could -- they just wanted to stay tangled. He didn't want to stay tangled though and he straightened himself up, and looked around.
Darn Israfel, he moved! Lucien looked for him, and when he found him Lucien didn't know what to say or do. There was not one tree, but two, and people were fighting them. Lucien couldn't help but think he missed something. Maybe even something important.
"What is going on..." he murmured, looking around with a blank stare.

"You all right?" His attention had caught Lucien's movements and he looked over at him. He was unnoticed by the trees, which was probably a very good thing, but hearing the low question made him shrug gently as he offered a hand up in he needed one. Riley could instantly sense that Braum, whose name she still didn't know, was asserting himself over her. It was distracting, almost enticing, if only because it instantly made her want to push back, and test the waters between them. Oh, those demon instincts, how they truly got you in trouble sometimes. Thankfully, he seemed all business when it came to bringing the group together, and it soothed Riley's ruffled ego.
That's probably a good idea. She sent her thoughts to the entire group this time, every one from her car. No sense in leaving anyone out of this, if they were going to work together. But Maladore's one of our bell holders, and that tree has him occupied. She seemed legitimately worried about Maladore, an emotion that came through in her thoughts when she sent them out, but she knew why. If he was eaten by that tree.. her heart quickened with panic.
I don't like this. There's too many trees around. What if they all come at us? She wanted Maladore back in the group, safe where she knew he wouldn't get eaten and be lost forever. She'd never hear the end of that one.

Nuk smirked a little at how Shehk leaned into him, which was completely opposite of how she would have acted in any normal situation. Then again, all things considered, this was certainly NOT a normal situation. Briefly he wondered why Hellma Shox wanted First Years to break into Sandy Claws' workshop, but he shrugged it off just as easily. It had gotten him what was, essentially, a public cuddle with Shehk -- he'd wash her UNDERWEAR if that's what she wanted.
"Shox'll probably have the train fixed by then, if I had to guess. Or Red... she's a boogyman, boogymen make wonky things happen when they're around," he replied under his breath, glancing around as if looking for one to give him a hard time. He hadn't taken Red's battle class yet, but he counted that as a blessing (beyond the fact that it left him without a battle pass... which sucked) -- she was one tough cookie, and after what had happened with the train TO the school, he knew she was probably not going to take any of his s**t.
In fact, when he'd first been told about their little trip, he'd thought it was going to be another of her pranks/'training things.' Looking around here now, he wasn't quite convinced it wasn't. He wouldn't put it past them to set up something like this. Not that he'd had any choice of whether he was going or not. Not even trying to cover his smirk as he noticed Israfel start to stumble on after the group, the skinwalker twisted a bit so he could look more fully at the Siren, flashing a highly inappropriate gesture in his direction. "Stuff it Dodo," came the snickered reply, clearly nothing more witty to say in this instance. It was also clear it was more for Shehk's benefit -- his arm tightened just slightly on the Pricolici, in case she decided that the Siren's comment was too much of a price and it was worth being cold. He swore, if Israfel ruined this for him, he was going to make sure to pluck that bird and roast him on a spit.
"Don't listen to that turkey," Nuk replied in a slightly lower tone to Shehk, tucking his head a bit towards her as he turned fully back around, "He's just... ... jealous..."
And that was when he noticed the trees.
"Hells jacking bells?!"
The comment was more of surprise than fear, the skinwalker's eyes widening as he stared at the new creatures. He'd never seen anything like that... never in Halloweentown, anyway. And he supposed that would make sense. Still, it took a few moments and Braum's shout to bring him back to the present, a pointed glare fixed right on the other student. "JACK YOU, DEMON," he replied with another inappropriate gesture, baring his teeth at Braum. As if he'd listen to anything that a*****e had to say. Not after the things he'd heard, "Besides, it's a hell of a lot smarter to make a FEW groups instead of one. If we have one and they surround it, we're all dead jacking meat. Learn some common sense, yeah?"

All right? Was he all right? What sort of question was this! Of course he wasn't all right! The day was horrible. He was knocked over and mugged by a reindeer who then ran off before he could get his revenge on it, or get his wings back; his friend had been punched in the face, had fallen offf his back; the train had CRASHED; gnomes had touched his toes and to make it all worse... he tripped over his tangled lights and came back to reality to something that was a little unreal.
"No," he said. "Today is bad."
