Helped him through trouble. Given him advice when he needed it. Helped him see the light in life before. Shown him that people do love him. That people do care. More then God has ever done for him. What now, assholes? stare I won't argue, mostly because this whole thing has just been explained to me. I was not aware of Damion's problems beforehand. The most I can/will do is say a prayer. I'm a whole other world away from him so there's little more I can do.

A person cuts themselves because physical pain is easier to deal with than emotional pain. When the cut is taken care of they feel better like the emotional pain was somewhat healed,usually. (At least for me it did.) It is not the answer and it doesn't take away the problem. Usually this type of behavior takes counseling to help stop. The cutter needs to address the emotional pain they are in.
In this case, Damion needs to address his love for God and the conflict of that of his life style. ( At least that was the issue when he first came here.) He has to see that physical love is not as fulfilling as the love of God, which is what he is searching for. He needs a local Pastor or counselor that he can talk to face to face to help him. He needs his friends to support him if he seeks after God or help. That is all any of us can do. He has to want to get better. He has to be willing to speak what is really on his heart to someone who can listen, someone who is outside his group so that what is said is private. Someone who is qualified to help that will be honest with him that he can open up to.

The last pastor that Damion was around asked him to never return to his church...as for cutting to ease the pain...that's dead wrong in his case...Damion cut to die....he has tried KILLING HIMSELF multiple times.....and no Justice, you don't have to come home...stay at your precious new home and sign up for classes at the wonderful new college....it obviously meant more to you than you 'boyfriend'....
