Alamar looked up Ritsu his mouth open to grab a hold of a fish. He closed his mouth as he blinked. You didn’t do anything wrong. I just know some outworlders take issue with others being near them while they eat. I assumed it was a courtesy to give another space while eating. Was I mistaken? Alamar looked generally confused as he looked at Ritsu. My sister has been to outerworld more than I have and she informed me that there were times when additional space was required to be given. I thought the privacy of a meal was one such occasion. I wish I had asked her what those times were… It would certainly save me from such faux paws as I seem to be making around Ritsu. How can I teach him to stand if I do not understand the rules that apply here in the ourterworld? Perahps he will not be the only one learning something new.

Ritsu looked at him sincerely, "W-well I don't know if that's true for others.....b-but i prefer.....to e-eat with people...." He blushed and looked down, "I-I would....w-would you please.....come eat with me?" He looked up, giving the most adorable puppy dog eyes to Alamar.

I cannot simply say no to him when he looks so.. so.. I do not even know how to describe that look. Very well.It would be a pleasure to eat with you. Alamar stood up and gathered his fish before going over to the other side of the den and laying down by Ritsu. His cheeks were warm with a light blush. He was uncertain if he should eat or attempt to converse with Ritsu.

He smiled, his tail wagging as he watched Alamar walk over to him. For some reason he couldn't explain, having the other fox near him made him happy. Once he was seated next to him, Ritsu began to eat.
"T-Thank you....." He blushed. He seemed to be doing a lot of blushing around this male. It was a new kind of feeling for him to be experiencing.

You are welcome. Alamar tried to focus on eating his fish. He ate but could taste anything, every time he tried to focus on the taste of the fish he would find himself gazing at Ritsu out of the corner of his eye. Ritsu was also blush. This is awkward. I believe neither of us knows what to say to the other. This is not a good sign. I am supposed to be taking care of Ritsu until he can stand on his own. How can I accomplish that if I cannot even speak to him? Swallowing a mouthful of fish Alamar decided it was time to speak and break the growing silence developing. He tried to keep the conversation professional feeling off kilter by the strange fluttering he was feeling in his stomach. Ritsu, I know your past is painful to handle however I need to know if you have had any sort of training. It will help me plan tomorrows activities.

He looked over at the fox after the uncomfortable silence. "Training?" He blinked confused, then looked up thoughtfully at the ceiling trying to think of anything. Mostly while he was growing up his parents ignored him. Neither one of them wanted to admit that they had birthed a freak like him.
"I-I.....No-o....." He shook his head, sinking to the ground so that his head was on his paws, "I-I'm sorry......I h-have no skills....or......training...." He closed his eyes, feeling the prickles of shame. He knew that he was completely worthless, but to speak it out loud was another mater. He could tell just by looking at him that Alamar was an accomplished fox. No doubt he found Ritsu lacking.

[The fluttering in his stomach was quickly replaced by worry for Ritsu. The other male seemed to think that he was a complete failure. Alamar closed his eyes for minute trying to puzzle out the best way to handle the situation and his own confusion. Even if his parents were neglectful how could they not see to it that their kit had training of some sort? This goes beyond the pale. Still being mad now will only end up upsetting Ritsu further. I will have to start teaching Ritsu to accept himself fist before I can teach him to move .How? An old saying of his mother’s drifted through his mind. One’s inner peace and calm is what helps keep one’s fur out of the fire.
Slowly a smile began to creep into Alamar’s thoughts. Why are you so downcast? This is excellent. That means I do not have to waste time breaking you of bad habits. It is easier to make a sculpture out of clay when you don’t have to tear it down first. Perhaps this little fact would help cheer the other fox up.

"Y-you do not mind..." Ristu perked up smiling, his tail wagging slightly, "Really..." He looked at him in shock. Not many foxes said it was a good thing that he was horrible at hunting and such. "Well......if you really think that it's okay.....then....i guess I won't worry about it...."
He smiled as he laid his head on his paws, looking up at Alamar with a sense of awe. He was so cool and confident all the time, everything that Ritsu wasn't but wanted to be. Maybe through the training Alamar was going to start, he could learn to be more like him.
"Thank you....." He said softly, a kind smile on his lips, "W....would you like to rest now.....i can make you a bed of flowers to sleep on."

No you needn’t worry as long as you are willing to work hard during training. Almar watched as Ritsu layed his head on his paws and felt an uncomfortable fluttering in his chest and stomach again. There was something about Ritsu that made him do this.. feel like this. It was strange.
Well I suppose it doesn’t really matter how I feel about Ritsu. I can only protect him and teach him to stand on his own. After that I suppose I will have to leave. There will be nothing else for me to do and Ritsu may want more space after he begins to realize his own potential. For some reason this train of thought bothered Alamar.
For the briefest of movements Alamar considered turning down Ritsu’s offer to make him a flower bed. Given his own inner turmoil. However his good manners and desire not to be rude won out. I would be honored if you were to make me a bed Ritsu. Just be careful of your paw.

Ritsu beamed as he jumped up excited. For once he could do something useful, and this time he wasn't going to screw anything up. Making sure not to put any pressure on his wounded paw he walked to the other side of the cave and started to gather the petals of the roses, making a make-shift bed for the male to rest on. It would be soft enough, and the smell was faint enough not to bother his nose.
"Here....you may rest here for the night.." He smiled and moved to his own bed, which was relatively close to Alamar's. "It can be rather cold at night....I don't know about you....but sometimes I get cold. If we lay closer together we'll stay warmer longer."

Alamar looked at the way Ritsu gathered and constructed the bed. It was interesting to see how skillful Ritsu was at it. My half sister isn’t as dexterous as him, yet foxes from all over in Tzara praised her flower weaving. Interesting.
Ritsu’s suggestion to sleep close together made Alamar’s heart begin to pound a bit faster as he finally started to realize what the emotion was rolling around inside of him. His shock was countered with his logic. Ritsu isn’t asking me anything like what I’m thinking. I’m at fault here. He is only acting on logic that staying close together will keep us warmer. It would be rude to back away now when I will be teaching him tomorrow he cannot have me simply refuse and leave even though I should right now. I cannot believe that I am.. attracted to another male. My father would disown me for such an affliction. Very well you logic is sound and I can hardly disagree about the cold temperatures here. Alamar smiled at Ritsu. But it was strained. He went to his bed and laid down without another word. I should not be staying here. Alamar squeezed his eyes shut as hard as he could trying to deny the world and the emotions he had.

Ritsu smiled as Alamar made his way over, for some reason having the other male around made him deliriously happy. His tail was wagging uncontrollably, and his heart was pounding in his ears. There was also the fact that he had butterflies in his stomach. It was a feeling that he had never experienced before. He didn't know the name for it. Maybe Alamar would know, but he'd wait to ask him till the morning.
"I hope you sleep restfully Ali...." He walked over to his own bed, which was almost laying directly next to Alamar. The nickname slid from his lips easily, without meaning to. Once he realized it though, a fresh blush spread across his cheeks. He hoped that Alamar wasn't upset with him about it. When he laid down, his fur rubbed against the starry male. A shiver raked up Ritsu's spine as a warmth built up in his stomach. What was this feeling? And why was it only getting stronger the longer he spent with the male?
"Mm...." He swallowed thickly.

Alamar nodded his head but kept his eyes shut when Ritsu addressed him. Hearing his name shortened in such a familiar way was not helping him block out his emotions like he was trying to. He is only being nice, it doesn’t mean anything. He doesn’t know that I am unaccustomed to such a familiar treatment. Surely this is how outworlders behave amongst their own?
An electric shock flashed through Alamar as Ritsu’s fur rubbed against his own. Then Ritsu’s fur jerked slight like a shiver and Alamar had to bite his tongue. This is not happening to me. I have never found a fox I have even been attracted to. I am Alamar son of Alama and Trisk. I came to the outworld to explore not find anyone that was compatible with me. And certainly not a male! Alamar stopped his tag as he realized it was waging. I will teach Ritsu what he needs to know. Then I have to leave. The thought hurt Alamar but it was what he felt he would have to do. Ritsu has no idea, how shameful I truly am from this moment on.

Ritsu felt ridiculous. Here he was laying, with these strange feelings stirring inside him and Alamar was just calmly laying there asleep. He shifted onto his side, trying to put some space between them so the fluttering in his stomach would cease. But it didn't work. Every time he moved it just caused him to rub up against Alamar, and that always made his entire body shiver.
Soon it felt like his body was going to burst into flames he was so hot. His entire body was flushed, and his breathing had become labored. His only solution was to just completely stop moving.
Though he discovered even that didn't work because he was still pressed up to the other male. He was trapped. Oh god....what am I supposed to do?! He screamed inside his head. I don't understand these feelings at all!

A small whimper worms its way out of Alamar’s lips. He opens his eyes and looks at Ritsu. The more Ritsu had been wiggle the more turbulent Alamar emotions became until he couldn’t keep his eyes shut any longer. It was hard for him to breathe. He had ended up holding his breath twice and had to force himself to remain calm and not pant. He wanted to pin Ritsu down and tell him to stop, but that would have done no good and Alamar knew that. He doesn’t know about me. I did not even know myself until just a short time ago. He is just trying to get comfortable. He probably is not used to sleeping near another fox. He does not mean to.
Alamar took a moment to breathe very slowly and try to relax his body that had become so tense. Ritsu. Perhaps I should sleep on the other side of the den or outside. I fear that my presence will not be conducive to your sleeping habits as things are.
(it is scary when a fox uses a trem you don’t… I never use conducive. Wtf?)
