"'Kay," she said brightly, looking down at the kit by her feet and her best friend who stood a little off to the side. "Come on guys, we gotta go see Nika! She's real nice, like a grumpy old momma." Cari giggled a little, since that was exactly what Nika reminded her of, and then plucked Rόis up yet again, and bounded off as a brightly-colored whirl of fur and energy.

Maiko stood as Nika addressed her and dished out instructions. "Take our new friends to Amaroq. Got it." She gave Nika a nod before taking a few steps in the direction of the gear. "You two follow me."
She smiled brightly at the two new dogfoxes as they walked. "You'll like the Coalition." Maiko said to the red vixen. "That's the team I'm on. It's fun. That's not to say the team you'll be on isn't fun, Caprice." Maiko quickly added the last bit as she spoke to the other, darker vixen.
As they trotted over to the gear spot, Maiko noticed Andere just sitting there. Maiko hadn't really talked with the other sled fox and figured now would be as good of a time as any.
"Hey Andere!" She said as she bounded over to her tribe mate. "How's it going? Look! We have new members! I'm taking them to Amaroq so he can show them the gear. Wanna come?" Maiko stood and waited for Andere to answer before taking off in the direction of their destination again. She had been given a task and she knew she ought to carry it out in a timely matter if she wanted to avoid being scolded.
It didn't take Maiko long to pick up Amaroq's scent. As friendly as ever, Maiko pranced over to the male and announced her task. "Amaroq, we have newcomers and Nika told me to bring them to you so you could show them the gear while I show them the ropes." She sat and paused for a second as she realized that didn't sound right. "You show them the ropes while they show me the gear..... Wait." She paused again and thought for another few seconds. "Nika sent us." She finally finished with that as she smiled at him and wagged her tail.

making only a small squeak Rόis was once again picked up and hauled about by Cari. I don't know about Nika but my momma isn't grumpy at all. She is really nice and even took me flying whenever I asked. It was fun. I like to feel the wind in my face. Her small starting waging as Cari bounded about with her. Flying had been fun for Rόis, it was what made her want to run and bounce just to feel that joy again.
A grumpy mother doesn't sound like fun Cari. His friends taste in humor was a bit of a shock to Arrin at times. Still as long as he was around her everything had a way of working out. Maybe it's because Cari puzzles out solutions faster than most foxes give her credit for. It certainly is never dull around her. And I doubt it will be dull round her either.
(*bounces* Rόis has an adult cert now so after some training she can come back as an adult *so happy*)

Gingerale had been awake for hours. She always woke up earlier than most to take a morning run around the mountain. It was an invigorating excercise, and frankly she didn't understand why the others didn't join her. Not that she exactly wanted company, depending on who was around. Her jog came to an end around the sleighs, where she could see Amaroq working, or something. She nodded in greeting to her lead dog. He was one of the few she had respect for, along with Nika. Both had earned it.
Soon after her own arrival, Maiko approached with a few new faces. She rolled her eyes at Maiko, who was very easily confused, but held her tongue. Instead she simply eyed the newcomers. "Recruits, huh? What teams are you two going into?" She asked.
"I see," Prancer said, considering her words. "I do suppose I would be useful. I pulled delivery sleighs in the past, for the humans." This was all he said, as his mind was then taken over by thoughts. Perhaps, if he joined again, he could be on this team of delivery dogs. His old life restored, for the most part, and Prancer would be all the more happier for it.
"What exactly... would I have to do to join this team?" He asked. He sincerely hoped it wasn't exclusive to sled dogs. But he thought he saw a few normal foxes around, so he doubted that was an issue.

"Yes ma'am." Mimoko bowed her head, following behind Maiko and Caprice, as she was told to. However she stayed quiet as the others spoke, realizing she was mostly forgotten. Buckland was her team, and when the group reached Amaroq she approached him, ears flicking to the side. Her job as right swing was taken very seriously by her, and she listened obediently to the male.
"Amaroq, Nika sent me to see if I could be of any help today. I heard there is no racing, but I will obediently follow any orders given." She needed this, someone to tell her what to do, because she herself didn't know what to do with her life. She sat on her hind legs, glancing at the newcomers before once more turning to look at Amaroq.

After watching everyone go around and talk Andere quickly lost interest and looked around back at the scenery mostly concentrating on the snow. She might go out for a while to see if she could get some training in after all it was part of her job to be able to handle fresh snow and to make sure when they turned the whole process was rather flawless as to keep a low on mishaps. Andere’s ears picked up and she noticed her name was being called and decided it was probably time to return back to reality. “Mm I guess. There is only so much training you can do for such a long time before its no longer beneficial” Andere pondered agreeing to come along. She quickly fell into step and looked once again over at the new comers. Finally they arrived at Amaroq and she raised her paw to cover her attempt to stop laughing as Maiko tried to get her objective across.

Before she could say more to Leigh or thr red vixen next to her, Nika heard paws coming up behind her. Tunring her head, the Elder spotted Cari--who naturally had somehow managed to find two strangers in the snow it seemed.
"'Lo there, Cari," she greeted the bouncy female. "Who've you got there with you?"
"We don't usually work with humans. Annoying buggers, ya know? Only in the professional races or when we deliver for them." Denali let the male wander off in thought, more patient with him now that she realized she migh tbe bringing in a new recruit.
"Well, our leader, Nika, would have to okay you living here. Shouldn't be a problem, she'll take just about anyone that's willing to work. After that, you're pretty much in. You'd meet Kamu--he's lad dog for the delivery team...but Nika doesn't can make him let you on if he tries to say no." Denali covered a snicker; the Syndicate lead dog thought he was so good at hiding his relationship with Nika. Didn't he realize it was obvious?
Amaroq turned his head away from the gear, which he'd been busy inspecting for any wear and tear. Maiko was the first to speak, and naturally the ditzy female rambled at him.
The half-wolf repressed a heavy sigh. While he wasn't prone to violence, he also wasn't very good at handling such...bubbly personalities. They just didn't make sense to him. But, Nika would rip him a new one if he wasn't at least civil.
"I'm not sure what Nika thought I could show you," he said truthfully. "But welcome to the Gang." He nosed out the tethers leading to the sled. "Well, let's see if you know what you're doing. Check for any damage."
Mimoko and Gingerale both came up a few moments later, and he gave a short nod to his team members. "Mimoko, once they're doen checking the gear, take the newcomers, Maiko and Andere out on a run, doesn't matter which sled. Exercise would do everyone good. Gingerale can stay with me."

"Mf if Rovy n Rrn!" Cari tilted her head; that didn't sound quite right. Oooooh, she still had Rόis in her mouth. Oops! She set what was probably a very, at this point, wind-swept kit down on the ground and tried again.
"This is Rosie and Arrin!" There, that sounded better. Already she had dubbed Rόis with a nickname. She didn't really have a good one for Arrin, yet, cause "my hero" just wasn't a really good nickname and Arrin said it was a little embarassing when he introduced him that way. She believed him, it was remarkably easy for her to make the male blush.

Prancer glanced around, there were a lot of foxes around. Dog-foxes to be exact, and naturally he didn't know who Denali was talking about exactly. "Nika and Kamu," Prancer repeated their names, since he would probably need to know them. After all, they were "top dogs" -- as the saying goes -- around here. "I suppose that means I should go about looking for them then," he said, turning back to Denali.
"So what's you're position in the tribe?" He asked, deciding to make small talk even if he knew her to be busy ordering the others around. She was clearly also of a high rank. Perhaps another team leader? Not counting the two she had just mentioned, Nika and Kamu, two other leaders were stil unknown to him.
Gingerale listened to Amaroq's orders in silence, looking at the tribemates as he adressed them each in turn. When the wolf finally said her name, she looked at him curiously. Stay with him? Wasn't much of an order. Turning to him now that he had finished speaking, she asked, "Is there anything specific you need of me?" She raised an eyebrow expectantly. Not impertinent, merely waiting.

Shaking her head to try and let her thoughts catch up with her Rόis noticed Cari’s change of name for her and felt she had to correct it. “Um.. my name isn’t Rosie.. it’s Rόis, Roe-ish ” Rόis sounded out her name slowly. “but you were really close. A lot of foxes get it wrong all the time.” She wagged her tail and looked up at bright pink dog-fox that had an eye patch. “Are you really like a grumpy old mama? Because my mama is really nice and my papa is more the grumpy one.” Rόis’s tail waged slowly as she addressed the dog-fox. Normally she would have been at least slightly cautious but Cari had said that this fox was like a mama, and all mamas were good at heart.
Arrin nodded to the pink dog-fox as Cari introduced him. He felt nervous in front of the imposing female. She had an eye patch and seemed older and more experienced. The eye patch… was it an accident or an act of aggression from an opponent? Arrin realized he was staring and looked down at his paws embarrassed. “Hello ma’am.”

Caprice smiled and nodded at Nika, hoping this Amaroq wasn't too unfriendly. "Thank you, Nika." She said, trotting happily after Maiko and the red vixen. She saw the sleds in the distance and wagged her tail in excitement.
On the way they seemed to pick up a few extra foxes, another blue fox that was as quiet as Maiko was chatty, a green one that seemed very submissive, and a brown fox with a red harness. That particular fox actually spoke to them and Caprice smiled back. "Yep. I'm going into the Crew with Denali." She replied.
They reached the sleds and the half-wolf Amaroq and Caprice smiled at him too in her friendly way. "Hello, I'm Caprice." She said as introduction before the male nosed the tethers out towards them. Caprice blinked at the pieces of leather.
Leaning down she nosed at it as well, sniffing it and looking it over. she found a small crack in the leather, tiny really, and wondered if that counted as damage. Looking up, she nosed the piece of leather back towards Amaroq. "Does this count as damage?"

((Sorry Reo, I'm gonna be too lazy to put the accent of Rois' O. Pretend it's there XD))
Nika coulddn't help but chuckle at Cari and the new foxes. Recognizing her imposing appearance, Nika bent her head down closer to the kit's level to talk to her. "Hello, Rois. I think Cari knows your name, but wanted to give you a nickname." She cuckled again and shook her head. "She likes to do that."
The dog-fox stood back up to her full posture and shook her hair out of her good eye. "A grumpy old mama...?" She honestly hadn't heard herself compared to one of those before. "I suppose, if that's what Cari sees."
That reminded her. Nika looked away from the newcomers for a moment, trying to see if Kamu was anywhere nearby. He still didn't want the others to know about them--which meant he was currently skirting around the tribe with her BCRs. What if he had already lost one--
Being called ma'am snapped her back to attention. "Don't call me that," she told Arrin. "It's just Nika, or Elder if you need to be formal." She could see that he was trying not to stare, and from years of dealing with the questions she knew what he was thinking. "It was a fight, by the way."
"Eh, you don't need to go see them just yet," Denali shrugged. "Nika's usually busy anyway in the mornings....and who knows where Kamu is." Probably asleep, if Denali knew her fellow lead dog at all.
"I'm a Lead Dog too," she told the deer-fox. "I lead the Kodiak Crew. Mika's head of the Ketchikan Coalition, and Amaroq is head of the Buckland Band...who you might want to avoid. Amaroq is fine, but they can bring in the nastier foxes, who are kind of purists when it comes to dog-foxes." Denali rolled her eyes at that; who cared who pulled the sled, so long as it got pulled?
Amaroq padded over to--Caprice, she said--and examined the spot she was talking about. "Not yet. But that doesn't mean it won't become one later." He looked back at the sled. "This is Mika's sled. I'll tell her to keep an eye on it. Keep looking."
He looked back to Gingerale. "I want to hear anything you've seen in the tribe lately."

"Thought so," Prancer said, his thoughts confirmed. "Buckland Band, eh? Sounds like I won't be talking to any of them any time soon." If they see him around the tribe enough, he's sure they'd get used to his presence. Especially if he hung around Denali or one of the others enough. They couldn't really do anything to him. It seemed a little odd -- avoiding fellow tribe members -- but not too far off from someone like Prancer.
Speaking of avoiding others, he was inwardly glad he could put off meeting Nika and Kamu until later. He hoped Denali might accompany him when she was less busy, since he wouldn't know where to go or who to look for anyways.
Gingerale nodded and commenced informing Amaroq about the goings-on of the tribe, as far as she knew. "Well, as you can probably see by now there's been a random influx in new members," she began, eying some of these recruits. At least that one, Caprice or something, had an eye for catching potential chinks in the equipment. A skill like that is always useful. Turning back to Amaroq, she continued, "A few of them are normal foxes, and I may be mistaken but I saw a fox with antlers on my way here. I'm not too sure what it was, but there was definitely some fox in him." She shrugged, making a mental note to torment the thing, if she ever saw this reindeer-fox again.
"Other than that, only the standard kind of thing. Everyone is busy getting ready for the feast, and whatnot," Gingerale ended her report, with thoughts of their annual spring feast on her mind. Like any other fox, normal, dog or otherwise, she loved the week-long celebration. The feast, the entertainment, the ambiance. It was almost as fun as racing.

God damn, god damn, god damn! Of all the times for their BCRs to hatch, it haaaad to be while Nika was out and about doing elder crap. "Oh, c'mon. Alice! Get your a** back here." Kamu snapped out, snatching his squirming daughter by the scruff with difficulty from his lying position on the ground. One of the kits, Tariq, was flopped down on his back, held down carefully by one of his father's paws. Then there were the other two, guuuh. Rhett and little Lucy were squished carefully against their father's chest, held against him by his other paw.
With a snarl, he set Alice down, moving a paw to smack at the ground angrily. "Nika! Nika, get your a** over here!" The male finally belted out, giving a frustrated mix between a sigh and a grumble as he snagged Alice by the scruff once more, plopping her down in front of him.
Not even a parent for five minutes and already he was 'effing tiiiired.
Giving up, he gave a wide sweep of his front paws to scoop all four kits up into a squirming ball of.. madness, nuzzling into them with a groan.

(its fine I’m just gonna leave it out too. I’m lazy.) “Well that’s ok. I don’t mind. As long as it’s for fun.” Rois’s tail wagged. This pink dog-fox seemed nice. So was Cari. This place was a good place to travel to on her little outing to see the world. “Well you don’t look like a grumpy old mama to me. I have a mama and she is never grumpy. She takes me and my sister flying and everything.” Purple eyes blinked slowly as a the kit smiled.
Arrin straightened up and took a step beck. “Yes M-Elder. ” He look abashed at her last comment. “S-sorry. I didn’t’ mean to stare.” He felt like melting into the ground. He hadn’t been here a day and he had already been rude, and to the elder no less.
