G brightened a little at the questions about what sort of games. "Is a secret. G promises fun though!" His jaws opened in a merry grin, tail banging on a floor. "Will play one soon, promise." The tap on his arm made him start, and he lowered his head a little to take sight of the little mummy girl. "You tiny." G sounded bewildered. He wasn't tall! ...Was he? Lizzy had said something like that too. "...Well, G a little big."
As Yaya approached, the beast would emphatically nod, and even if he hadn't noticed that she was unhappy, he wouldn't refuse a request like that. "Yaya sits with G. Lots of--"
The loud thump and the ear-piercing wail was enough to make the monster snap his head up, his fins flaring out entirely while a sound almost akin to a croak suddenly swelled his throat up. While normally G might have been cowering at the back of the train at the sight (or in this case, sound) of something very big and very mean pounding away at the train wall, his natural instincts had surfaced as soon as the job of being a good host had been put into his big hands.
With another wordless, threatening rumble, the monster got to his feet and was cautiously placing himself in front of the slightly damaged wall, using his considerable bulk as a shield that other students could hide behind. His teeth were bared a little, and it seemed as though he'd temporarily forgotten how to talk, tail banging a warning tempo against the floor even as he shook his head from time to time as though to make the sound go away.
Whatever was out there, he was not about to let it hurt any of the students. He was supposed to make sure everyone was having a good time!

"A-all right everyone just c-calm down." Whoah! Where did he come from - wasn't he supposed to be sponsoring another train car?! "I heard the commotion in your car and um.." The flitterbic looked like he was going to have a heart attack. "Uh, everyone just stay seated, where is Nox when you need him, I'll go check it out, since there are no other staff on this train I guess."
He shuffled nervously in his spot. "Yes, checking it out. Right. Why don't you guys stay put and play some nice um, games. Yes, I'm sure the student council has some nice games planned for you guys in the meanwhile. Don't by all means, go looking for me if I go missing, oh not at all."
And with that he moved towards the door. Well took two strides. "Don't go looking for me!" He prompted, after stride number three. Another step. "Oh no, not at all. A trick or treat recruiter's life is full of dastardly violence and revenge."
You could have sworn at this point, there was violin music playing in the background. "All right, gone for good now to check on this, goodbye." And good riddance.
If it was any conslation, the noise seemed to have died down for now.

With the calming of the sound, Laiha found herself embarrassed. There she'd gone, hackles raised at something that didn't even want to come inside. Nobody else seemed to have such a dramatic reaction and there she was, half-raised up the side of the car and looking around her like an idiot. Slowly she sank to her seat, hugging her knees like a scorned child. Still her eyes darted. At least that strange little man seemed to know what he was doing, even if he was possibly running into horrible danger.
Games, though?

The relief that over came the djinn at G's words was almost palatable, but incredibly short lived. He'd not even gotten to the end of his response when -something- slammed into the side of the train with a god awful thump. Making the car shudder, and pitching a very startled demon straight into the bulky monster's side.
"What is that?" Well, now that she was touching him.. Dark fingers slid along the monster's side as he stood and turned, shielding them all from whatever it was that was denting up the walls of their train car. She wasn't scared, though the hand she refused to take from the small of G's back would say otherwise. Fear was among those powerful emotions the water djinn wasn't often privy too. She was curious, even nervous, but not afraid. At least not yet.
Not even with the recruiter popped up to inform them that he'd go and have a look at whatever it was making the dents and the awful racket. If anything, whatever nerves she might have been suffering under faded as the recruiter left and the noises died down. It really did take much too much energy to be, or remain worried about things.
And unless she was very much mistaken, she had heard something about games.

It was amazing how much Tahki felt her nerves ease at the reassurance that everything would be fine. And the mention of games. Was this a tactic to keep everyone seated and calm or was everything going to be just fine. Just moments ago there had been clawing and dents. Either way there was one thing to do.
Tahki gripped tightly to her golden headphones and sat straight up. She'd pretend like the clawing never happened and go back to playing the part of a good passenger for now. What else was there to do?
Games sounded like a good idea to keep everyone at ease. Hopefully it was as good as it sounded.

Petro had gotten to his feet, not so much as flinching at the shriek. His muscles were tense and ready to what, exactly? Run? Lunge? Tackle? He wasn't sure, but he knew that if whatever it was that was trying to get on the train was hostile, he was going to do everything he could to help G. He would have positioned himself beside the large student, had this new-comer who was apparently staff not arrived and told them to calm down. Quirking a brow at the instructions, Tro found he wasn't calming down.
Wordlessly, he watched as the recruiter left. He would have offered to go with him but too late for that now. Instead, he turned to the student closest to him, "This is why I prefer travelling by foot."

She was still trying to unsnarl her disconcerted snakes from their findings when the passing demon's comment registered, the flash of a smile reading more like derision than sincerity. Adelle had just managed to flick the last wad of grey-colored gum after her retreating back when the sound from before returned with a vengeance. Not only that, but it had apparently borrowed some destructive tendencies. The wall she'd been sitting beside went suddenly convex, brushing up against her and prompting her to move quickly out of her seat as the banging continued, snatching her school bag as she went. Metal scraping and giving against whatever was on the other side had her breathing through gritted teeth, feeling the tether on her abilities acutely in that second. An outpouring of protest and uncertainty all around let Adelle know that she was definitely not imagining this scenario, and she felt rather than saw G rise up, a green tide pushing against her periphery. Planting her feet into a defensive posture, she readied herself for what came next, letting the handle of her bag fall easily into her palm and waiting for the thing to break through. Just because she couldn't summon up her claws didn't mean she was a lost cause. If it turned into a fight, she had a good arm and a heavy course load to swing with.
That very same course load almost hit the messenger when he manifested out of nowhere, her snakes bristling expressively at the interruption. Games? Was this guy serious? She observed the gouges in the steel doubtfully, silence reigning once more. Her serious gaze then switched over to G, wondering if his senses were picking up on something eluding hers, quivering fins certainly indicating more than plain aggression. She huffed quietly under her breath a second later, smoothing her free hand across her face. If she was looking to the gentle giant for clues, she was casting the net way out there.
The bronze, barefooted monster's words drifted to her then, and she blamed the tension of the moment when she couldn't help but laugh, the sound unpracticed and rough. "Yeah," She murmured. "No kidding." First time on the train aside, she was pretty sure no other cars were experiencing this kind of trouble. Or at least she hoped not, thoughts darting immediately to her sister. Neve was plenty able to take care of herself, but it was a small space and they were all playing handicapped. The odds were stacked against them, if it came right down to it.

Time for a Game!The... was he a teacher? Well, whoever it was, the man was enough to make Gargantuan start a little, listening with bewilderment to the instructions before he offered an uncertain nod. Don't go looking? Would he be okay?
...The noises had stopped.
Only belatedly realizing there was someone behind him, Gargantuan glanced to Yaya, nosing her as though to make sure she was okay before he turned to the rest of the students. "...Om. Time for game?"
Yes, time for a game.
"Okay... G gonna tell start of story, yes? Den next person adds next part of story, and next person adds next part of story... Make sense? Best story tellers get somethin' nice!"Rules! Each Student may only tell part of the story once! Entries may be as long or short as you'd like! To add to the story, please quote the last entry with an emote of some sort. This way people know you have claimed the next spot! Then fill in your part of the story, and the next person can quote your post, etc. If someone has quoted a story part before you, please nix out/delete your post and wait till they're finished. Please have your entry taper off somehow, so people can pick it up easily! For example, "There was a big, horrible dragon that liked to eat people! Little did they know, he had a terrible weakness that..." Be creative! Prizes will be rewarded for all sorts of categories! You can be serious and scary, crazy and funny, whatever! The event will last until tomorrow evening, or sooner if no one is posting!
G's Story Once upon a time, there was a very mean, short little lady who ruled over the scariest school in Halloween Town. She liked to eat gnomes and breathe fire when she was angry, and had a snake for a tongue. She also ate princess gnomes, and put her students into their scary bedroom-corners if they were good, and it was a Not Fun place. But one day, the students decided they'd had enough...

Tybalt watched as the recruiter left the car and disappeared completely. Though despite the reassurance, the black dog couldn't calm down. At least, not right away. His ears remained alert and his hair was still bristled. It would take quite a while before he was convinced that everything was okay. Though thankfully the others were calming down. That was good... And he had to admit, he was curious about these games that were mentioned.
Scooting a little close he listened to G's story and decided to pick up from where he had left off.Tybalt's Story--continuing from G's --and after some very boring research they found that the evil Hellm---I mean short lady could be destroyed if they could sacrifice the rarest of unicorns. Which would cause her to have a sparkle overdose! This of course, is all thanks to her eating so many princess gnomes! However, the only problem was that they had no idea of where to find this unicorn or which species of unicorn to choose from... Things were looking quite grim until...

Touching G, though it was nothing more then her hand on his back, made her feel loads better. Even considering the mysterious something that'd been trying to beat it's way into their car.
Sighing softly in relief, the marid wathed on as G started up a game for them all, and Tybalt(that was his name, right? They'd had case together.) continued on with the story. What a clever idea. As the ghost dog finished, Yaya lifted a hand to say she'd like to take the next turn.Yaya's Story--continuing from Tybalts's -- Some bright student remembered there just so happened to be a unicorn conveniently on hand. He was even rare, in a manner of speaking. Old and grouchy, rather then beautiful and serene as one would likely expect from a unicorn. So a plan was hatched to lure Prof Alab- This unicorn to the short lady's office so he could be swiftly dispatched(sacrificed) to slay the evil that ha been plaguing the school for so very long. Things did not go according to plan though, as a certain Kelpie got wind of the plan and, horrified, rushed to the unicorn's aid, only to find...

Derleth stood on the station platform. Students from all over Amityville Academy surrounded him, laughing and talking eagerly about the trip ahead. He wasn't entirely sure how he came to be among them, but the students all looked about his age and lacking anything better to do, he allowed himself to be swept along with the crowd. When the students boarded the train, Derleth climbed aboard too. The train car Derleth boarded was crowded with all sorts of people and humanoid creatures. He paused and blinked slowly at the raucous din before making his way down the aisle, taking care not to step on any feet, tails, or other appendages. There weren't that many open seats left but there were a couple, especially on the left side near a large bulging dent on the side and roof of the train car. Derleth ducked slightly to avoid hitting his head on the dent and sat down. The window beside his seat was broken, a spiderweb of cracks all running through it making it hard to see outside. So Derleth turned to observe the other occupants of the car. They were telling a story of some sort. A game, perhaps? There was a lull so Derleth shrugged and joined in: Derleth's Story -- continuing from Yaya's ...that the unicorn had already expired from old age. So now the students' problems were threefold: not only was the horrible gnome-princess eating short lady still tormenting them, but they now had an angry Kelpie berating them, *and* a mangy dead unicorn that was starting to attract flies.
So in exasperation they decided to find the King of the Gnomes and see if he had any advice to offer. Surely he would help them after so many of his daughters were taken and eaten by the evil short lady, they reasoned. But when the students left to search for the Gnomish court they found that...

Sepheran didn't quite understand what exactly happened after the horrendous scraping noise subsided. He had heard the voice of another come in and say they would take care of it and to not look for them. Sepheran was all but glad not to. Liannan had hidden herself away from the noise and slowly began to creep back out, reaching his hands out Sephy blindly felt an open seat next to him and sat down, allowing Liannan time to adjust back.
Turning his head Sepheran listened to the student begin to tell a story in a game of sorts. He smiled softly listening, picking up a part when there was enough space left for him to do so:
Sepheran's Story -- continuing from Derleth's ...the Gnomes had fortified their court due to the kidnappings and the King was refusing any court appearances for being stricken ill by the loss of so many of his daughters. The students had nearly given up hope when a mysterious reaper appeared before them telling them of a way to save the King from his illness. The students rejoiced and were eager until...

Petro cracked a grin at the ghoul when she laughed, even if he hadn't been trying to be funny. He had noted, briefly, that she was one of the few who had taken a defensive stance when the noises began and the thing from outside started trying to get in. He would have said something to acknowledge it but then G started a game. He turned to the female monster, gestured towards the small group that had formed and with a small bow said, "Ladies first."
He kept to the fringes of the group even as listened to the story, every so often glancing back at the dents and where that recruiter had headed out. When Sepheran had finished, Tro found it was his turn and looked a little dumbfounded.
Petro's Story -- continuing from Sepheran's The students heard how the evil short lady knew about their plan All. This. Time! They turned to the mysterious reaper for more help, except the evil short lady's spy had caught up to them and was about to cast a spell that would Turn. Them HUMAN! Just when he was about to finish casting...

"WHAT the..." But it was too late, the recruiter had already backed out of their cabin and G, quick to mend the shock, had already started up a game.
Grief stricken and quite the drama queen, Natalia slumped in her seat and heaved a huge sigh...she wanted to throw a fit, she wanted to express her fear, but in the end her interests were taken up by the stories...
"My turn!" Her voice trilled at the end, growing to an annoyingly high-pitched note before she began. In her seat she turned left and right to face every student, hand gestures being used to further express her story.
Natalia's Story -- continuing from Petro's One brave student knew just what it was they had to do! Summoning all their might, the student swiftly drop kicked the spy in the face. A battle of epic proportion began, lights were firing, FEAR was everywhere! Oh, and there was blood, lots and lots of blood. This gave the rest of the students enough time to escape back to the gnome kings castle, accompanied by the mysterious reaper. No one knows what happened to the student. Except the spy, who returned to the evil short lady bruised and battered, with one large foot print on his forehead while dragging the unconscious student by the foot. The spy was beheaded for failing the mission. And then stuffed for display. But as for the student...oh, the evil short lady had plans for him. To her lackeys she hissed, "Go, and tell the students we have their friend..." And some cackling followed. Back at the castle, the students were about to find out what the reaper wanted in exchange for the kings health when...

The noises and things hadn't worried Myr. Things like that were always happening to him and besides, weren't there people whose job was to make sure that the train stayed safe? He grinned when he heard that they were going to play a game. He rather enjoyed games, and it seemed like the other students could use a distraction. Not everyone was so unconcerned about what was going on like he was. The moment he could, he added his own part to the story. Itz'myree's Story -- continuing from Natalia's a loud bolt of thunder shook the castle. The next thing anyone knew, the reaper had vanished, from right in front of their eyes. "Where'd he go?" the students muttered to each other, even as they looked around the room for him. This could be a problem. How could they finish their quest if they couldn't talk to the reaper. Meanwhile...
