Watching the child reach out to him nearly broke his heart. "OK, so maybe she likes me. It doesn't mean I was made for this..." After settling Mia down, Taneir followed Nalla to the lake.
"Wow, what a nice spot. The view is really... uh..." he trailed off as his mate shed her outer layer of clothing and dove in. He didn't really need any further hints as he removed his own outerwear and dove in after her, surfacing behind with her hands wrapped lovingly around her waist. "I see how it is," he joked. "Have fun while you can before you get me all huge and ugly."

 Nalla Sheridan Bride Nalla gasped as she felt Taneir's arms wrap about her waist. As his words she spun around in his hold and lightly smacked his shoulder. "You will not get ugly. Pregnancy is beautiful no matter if it is a female or male that is pregnant. But you are correct, I do wish to have some fun." She looked up to him and placed a soft kiss to his cheek as her tail lightly wrapped around his waist and her ears twitched. "I wish to enjoy this night, just us, without the thought of having someone checking in on us. I think that this would be a much more relaxing place to get to know each other." As she floated in the water in front of him she rested her head lightly on his shoulder, her ears flicking against his head as she slowly relaxed in his arms. She might not know much about Taneir, but she enjoyed his company and liked how he didn't care that she was not like the other women of her tribe. "Ask what you will of me so you can get to know me more Taneir and I will answer. But be warned whatever you as me, you must answer yourself as well."

Taneir chuckled awkwardly. "I hope you're right... but until we find out..." He mirrored his mate's tail, wrapping it around her, and lifted her up slightly to plant a lingering kiss on her lips.
"Hm... Well, why is it that you chose not to be like the other females in your tribe? With so much attention paid to your family, I'd think that would be sort of required."

Nalla Sheridan Bride Nalla blushed as he kissed her but as he asked about why she wasn't like the others she gave him a slightly sad smile before answering. "I am honestly a huge disappointment to my father because I am not like the other women. I just don't have the heart to kill other animals, even if it is to feed the tribe. I am not like the others because I don't have the strength and power to do what they do."

"Aw, Nalla..." He gave her a reassuring squeeze. "Hunting doesn't matter to me. And you haven't disappointed me once since I've met you. You've been so... perfect." He looked into her eyes, the truth of his statement shining through. "Watching you so lovingly and patiently taking care of children, that's something females in my tribe are honored for, you know." He chuckled. "Well, guess it's your turn to ask me a question."

Nalla Sheridan Bride Nalla blushed more as he hugged her. As he spoke to her, saying that she hadn't disappointed him and had been perfect a tear slid from her eye to roll down her cheek. She wiped at it quickly and turned her head from his, not wanting him to see her tears. She hated crying, it was something she got picked on for a lot of the times, because all the females saw it as a weakness. Unless the tears were because you were morning the loss of a loved one. "I am far from perfect Taneir, do not fool yourself with that thought. And I may not have disappointed you yet, but I am sure there will come a time that I will. I always seem to disappoint those around me." As he told her that what she did was something the females of his tribe were honored for. She shook her head to herself and whispered softly. "Why couldn't I have been born to your tribe then, it would have made things so much easier on me..." She looked to him once she felt certain her tears had stopped and nodded her head slightly as she asked him a question. "W-Would you ever w-want to i-introduce me to y-your family Taneir?"

Taneir took a deep breath. "I would love for you to meet my family. They would love you! But I don't think I could meet them if I was carrying a child. I'm not sure they would understand... I guess we're both out of our elements with our tribes now, in a way." He leaned down and kissed along her neck. "But don't worry. I think that's what makes us match so well."

Nalla Sheridan Bride Nalla looked to him, a little surprised that he would want his family to meet her. She gave him a small smile as she spoke. "W-We could always see them before you get pregnant, or even after you have our child and when you lose the weight. We could always tell them that I gave birth to the child, since no one outside our village knows that it is the males that give birth." She closed her eyes as she felt him kiss along her neck, as he did so she purred softly and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. She she held him her tail twitched, the tip of it sliding along Taneir's abdomen like a caress. "D-Do you h-have any more q-questions for me T-Taneir?" As she spoke her words came out broken in some places by the purring she was making. Her words weren't stuttered because of nervousness or shy it, but because of the feelings he was waking inside of her with his kisses.

His purring matched hers as he rubbed noses with her, the act transitioning into more kisses around her face and neck.
"Just o-one..." He slid his fingertips down her spine, over the small of her back and upon the length of her tail. "Ho-ow was I s-so lucky to find you?"

Nalla Sheridan Bride Nalla blushed as Taneir rubbed noses with her and then kissed all over her face. When he said he had only one more question for her she looked to him a little curious as to how he could only have one. But as his fingers traced her spine and tail all though vanished as she purred louder and nuzzled her face against Taneir's neck and chest. But before all her thoughts vanished she was able to say one last thing to him. "B-But you d-didn't. M-My father f-found you..." After that she lightly licked his neck, her purring still vibrating in her chest sending shock waves into his body.

Nalla Sheridan Bride Nalla blushed and purred as she nuzzled her face against Taneir's neck, only stopping when he removed her gown. She was still purring and nuzzling him as she spoke softly. "H-He saw that w-we would make a g-good pair. As well as b-beautiful c-children. He saw t-that we m-matched and c-compliment each other p-perfectly." ((Maybe have him comment and then time skip?))

His purring intensified as he pulled her closer, their purring bodies vibrating against the water. "I b-believe him..." he said, letting them sink slowly beneath the surface.
[A couple days later...]
The spot in which Taneir slept next to his mate was empty in the morning. Sounds of distress were coming from the bath area.

Nalla Sheridan Bride Nalla woke to the sounds that were coming from the bathroom. She rushed into it, only wearing her gown. She opened the door and knelt down besides Taneir. "D-Dear, are you a-alright? W-Whats w-wrong? Do I n-need to g-get the tribe d-doctor, or my f-father?" She lightly placed her hand on his shoulder and closed her eyes. She was worried about him being sick or in pain, she didn't think that he could already be with child, so she wasn't even thinking about that.

Taneir smiled weakly at his mate and placed his hand on hers. "I'm ok... I just felt sick to my stomach waking up. Maybe dinner didn't agree with me last night." A notion wouldn't leave the back of his mind, however. He couldn't already be...?
