Issac ㊋ "Chains of the Past..." ± : . : ± : . : ± : . : ㊋ : . : ± : . : ± : . :㊋ : . : ± : . : ± : . : ± Slowly, Issac started to think. He constantly looked down at his abdomen to see if he exploded in to a gore pile. He was shivering, the straightjacket was no help. "That nightmare...why can't I just dream in peace. He tried to stand, but rolled over to the floor somewhat painfully from not being stable. "Why...why....why....why?!" He dropped his head limply to the floor. Strangely, through that dream he'd recovered a fragment of his shattered mind, everything was starting to make sense, but he was still a long way out of it.He screamed again, he screamed until guards came running. He screamed until his lungs were weak. He screamed until he could no longer scream. "W-why...?" Dropping down once again in defeated he began to sob, not wanting to sleep again.

Jacque opened his eyes and found himself in the infirmary. He looked at his arm and there was a bandage around it and blood showed through it. He put his hand to his head feeling terrible "What happened to me?" He said as he sat up and found nobody around. "Did i fight?" he said puzzled by his injury. He got up and began limping out of the infirmary and made his way to the 3rd level.
making his way back to his room he heard a song. it was the girl from the group talk again. Ignoring thee singing he made it to his room and found the bloody words on the door "I'd hate to leave you in the dark..." This immediately puzzled him. What the hell happened here? Walking into his room he found the words "You either laugh or you cry" written all over the walls and the floor.
"Was i... sleeping during this?" he looked at his arm and then at the blood "I did this...but I don't remember any of it...or did someone do this to me?" He asked himself as he closed the door to his room and walked over to his bed feeling dizzy. wrapping the blanket around himself he closed his eyes and slept a bit dreamless.

Nomanes eyes opened, pain striking her arm as soon as she moved her body. She smirked. Heh, guess I didn't lose as much blood as they thought.[ she sat up, she was laying in her own room. She thought back to the image of her bone protruding out out from her arm, and the pool of blood and started to laugh manically, touching her cast. Ah, good try Crisel, but your gonna have to do better than that. Tell me, what did you think you would acomplish by breaking our arm, huh?. She waited a moment. Ah, I see, nothing to say ai? Fine. Worthless human. she could see where the blood hadbeen scrubbed away, all that remained was a few faint stains. She walked over to the door, hearing screams seeping in through the walls.
She couldn't help but to laugh at the pain filled noise. She opened the door, walking around bored, humming a song Crisel had dreamed about purposfully to torture her. shut up shut up shut up shut up!!! Crisel cried, Oh, so now you speak. Now I know how to get our attention. she continued to humm the song, prancing around happily, ducking out of sight every now and aging so the guards wouldn't see her and take her back to her room. She climbed a few stair cases.I hate you. You were suposed to be my friend. You changed to much. Crisel said, wimpering. But to Nomane, she was nothing but an annoying buzzing sound at the back of her head....well, currently at the back of Nomanes head. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you I hate you I hate you!! Give my body back!! she pulled the invisible chain, thrusting Nomane into the wall. Nomane smiled, savouribg the pain that shot through her arm. You kow what crisel. I am getting a little tired of your complaints. If you don't Shut ip, I am going to land us in salutary confinement, and then let you rot in there all by yourself. You'll get even more crazy than you already are. Do you understand me? Crisel hadn't answered, but she could feel her agreemant. Im glad you concurr, not stop talking and let me enjoy my turn in peace.
Two guards were walking with a patiant, mumbling to himself about how god will save him from this asylum. He stared at Nomane as one of the guards came to her side, sighing in frustration. I thoughti heard someone talking down here... he grabed Nomanes arm, but she wacked it away. Sticking her toungue out at him and running up the stair case. Stupid human, don't ever touch me again, or I'll kill you! the mumbbling man spoke shakily. She knows the song.as do many in this institution. he said knowingly.
After turning a few corners, she grew tired of running, and waited for the guard. He ran past her and she grabbed him by the collar, forcing him to the ground. He made a yelping sound as he landed. He jumped onto him, bitting his neck, laughing with joy, as she sank her teeth into his neck, blood spilling out, soaking both his clothes and hers. She was stronger than she looked, because the guard had trouble pushing her off. She dug in deeper, gulping down she warm substance. The guard shrieked with pain and fear, the horror filled scream echoing through the building.

Kira Itzumi I'm not crazy... Without wanting to Kira had fallen asleep again. But it really wasn't sleep, more blackness for her soul. She could still hear, see and smell but her thinking processes seemed to have shut down. She walked over to the door and pushed on it. Naturally it didn't bugde. Frowning she when and picked up the fork they'd throw in with her food tray. Bending it up against the bars she managed to break one of the thongs off and made a makeshift key. Shoving it into the lock she turned it, left and right until she heard the satisfing click of the lock opening. Smiling to herself she gently pushed on the door letting it swing open. A shout from down the corridor made her tunr and look to see four guards standing staring at her. Tucking the broken fork into her belt she took off down the corridor. The guards were hot on her tail as she rounded a corner and almost crashed into another guard. Kicking him where it hurt, she proceeded to leap frog over him and continued running. At this point I know some people will be wondering where on earth she was going....well she was heading for her next victim. A few days ago she'd told one of the guards he was bound to die. Though it might seem impossible to find him in this place, Kira could remember his face clearly and knew what she was looking for. Sometimes having a photographic memory came in handy. She ducked around another corner and slid into another small corridor. The gates were further back here causing a small indent, like a cuboard, thin enough for Kira to hide behind. The guards ran past, shouting that she couldn't be far and Kira smiled to herself. Those guards wouldn't think about here. After the shotuing died away Kira slipped back out into the main corridor and walked slowly so her shoes didn't make any noise. Eventually she spotted her prey. He was the only guard standing in the corridor, ovbiously her commotion had all the other guards buzy, and was completely alone. "Your nightmares take us to the most charming places, love" Kira sang softly as she stepped around the corner. He looked up and his mouth dropped. Ovbiously he hadn't expected her to come after him or to even get this far. He srank back slightly but even though he was bigger than her, he looked scared. News of her was no uncomman as almost everyone who passed her cell knew about the supposed ghost girl. He'd only passed her cell twice, the second time had been when she'd told him he was going to die. "What...what do you want....?" He asked scared. He was backing away again. She flicked out the knife as she sang "I'd hate to be alone in the dark...." Then her arm flashed downwards. Lucky for him he'd stepped backwards. Kira growled softly as he turned and bolted for the end of the corridor. Kira, not going to let her prey get away, threw her fork at him. It clipped him in the shoulder, with the blunt end and bounced off. But it had caused him momentary loss of balence and he went tumbling over. Kira leapt into action. She ran as fast as she could, while he was still on the floor and soon was over him fork raised. He struggled as Kira's arm fell. She stabbed him repeatedly, until he lay dead and cold under her hands. She was now covered in blood, and feeling slightly empty again. The chase was over and he had lost. Getting up she gave him one last look then turned her heel. She then took off running full sprint, making as much noise as she could and drawing attention back to where she was and not, her victim. She'd made it down two corridors before they spotted her again. Smiling she took off, not going to let them catch her. But as fate would have it her eyelids got heavy and soon she fell flat to the floor, landing heavily on her fork, slicing her arm in the process. The guards were still running as Kira's world went black. ...I'm just special

It was normal to hear screaming in an asylum. So no one had come to the guards rescue. Nomane stood up, satisfied with her filling, she walked away, humming the song that huanted Crisels dreams. The only dream, actually.
She caught a glimps of a girl with black hair, almost ad long as hers, running past her soaked with blood. She smiled. Guess I'm not the only Person to get a little out of hand. You should be more like her, Crisel. she said frowning. She heard ticking.Ticking.Ticking. She followed the sound, leading her through a maze of hallways, befor stopping infront of someones room. It was almost breakfast time. I must have...taken a little longer than I thoght I did....she said a little sleepily. It was getting close to Crisels turn.
She sat down on the cold tile, leaning against the blue wall, forming a gun shape with her hand and saying Bang. befor closing her eyes and falling asleep.

Safi jolted up, gasping for breath and clutching at his neck. He fell into a short coughing fit. He grasped at his pillow, if you could even call it that, as the coughing began to fade. The usual background noise of the asylum was muffled, albeit audible. He smiled a bit to himself and reached for his glasses. He wiped the lenses off quickly before putting them on. His hand started to tremble. He grabbed it with the other, and pushed it to his chest. "Why now, Belial?" he sighed and closed his eyes. A few seconds later, they snapped open again. He broke into a wicked grin and leaped up. Sprinting towards the door, not slowing until he was a foot away. He barreled straight into the door. Upon rebounding off of it, he repeated the procedure again.

(There will be no more "escaping" from rooms and wandering the halls until further notice. Further explanation will be posted in the OOC shortly.) Morning of Day 2
† Christopher † Room 320
"Won't you come with me?"
Christopher's eyes opened as soft laughter echoed in his head. Daylight now streamed through the windows that, seemingly only minutes ago, had been occupied by moonlight.
Morning... Christopher thought grudgingly.
Suddenly, the young man's heart sank-as though he had forgotten something very important. Placing a hand on his heart, a saddened look appeared on his face.
"What could I be forgetting...?" said he as the door to the infirmary opened.
"Oh, good, you're up." said Harry as he made his way to Christopher's bed. "It's time for breakfast if you feel up to it, Christopher. Oh, and--" He looked around to make sure no one was listening, then continued in a lower tone, "I am SO sorry for what happened yesterday. That orderly should've known not to sedate you at THAT particular moment..."
Christopher sighed and stood up.
"Harry, your apologies mean nothing to me. That orderly could burn in Hell for all I care. None of that will restore my eye. However," Now Christopher lowered his tone, "if you were to prepare him for my midday meal..."
Harry snorted and began leaving the room.
"I'm glad to hear your humor wasn't damaged yesterday, Christopher. Shall we get some REAL food?"
Christopher followed, adjusting his patch a little.
"Who said I was kidding...?" said he, a devilish smirk baring his teeth.
Oddly enough, though he would never let on, Christopher wasn't craving flesh today...

"I'd hate to leave you all alone, But I must answer the siren's call. You could come with me, you know. "
Keeran sang loudly, missing a few notes here and there. Ever since last night's dream, she had been sitting in a corner of her room, rocking back and forth, humming this to herself. But then they had started talking to her, and the only way to block them out was to sing louder.
She picked up a piece of glass on the floor and rolled up her sleeves. Her arms were covered in tiny silvery scars and some fresher, red-rimmed cuts. She put the tip of the glass on her palm and sliced through her pale skin. Big drops of ruby red liquid spilled out of the cut, flowing over her hand, and dripping onto the floor. She sat there, not applying pressure to the open wound or trying to find a piece of cloth to wrap it in.
A knock came at the door, then a click was heard. It was a new nurse. She put her key card in her pocket and smiled at Keeran. "Good morning, Keeran! It's time for breakfast!" the nurse said cheerily.
"Don't talk to me as if I were a child." Keeran said in her usual monotone voice.
But the nurse wasn't paying attention. She had noticed Keeran's injured hand. "Keeran!" she cried. "What have you been doing?!" The nurse pulled out a sterile pad and a bandage, placed the sterile pad on the wound and wrapped it up. "Well, here's your breakfast."
Keeran took the tray and examined it. Suddenly, she brought up the piece of glass and slashed the nurse across the cheek. The immediately placed her hands over the cut.
"I don't eat meat." Keeran said flatly. She was referring to the 2 pieces of bacon on the tray.
The nurse stormed out, loudly declaring that she was never going in that patient's room again!

Jacque woke up feeling a bit groggy. he sat up on the side of his bed and looked at the walls that had been covered in messages in his blood
A female nurse came in with some food
Jacque: "Hm, Miss Samantha. Taking over for Bakewell today?"
Samantha: She looked at the walls and floor in utter shock, she'd only heard about it from her coworkers but she hardly believed it, but now she was seeing the scene herself
Jacque: "I got into interior decorating" He said smarting off at her reaction to it, he himself kind of ignored it like it was always there.
Samantha: "i heard about your incident but I didn't think it was this bad"
Jacque : "You don't like the blood red mixed with the asylum white? Careful you might offend the canadians"
Samantha: "I see you gained a sense of humor..." She said placing the food on the table then sitting across from Jacque "..I have good news for you'
Jacque: "Did they need a woman to tell me this? I'm hardly controlled by hormones, and i've killed women too."
Samantha: "hm, your name is Leviathan....the demon sea dragon from the bible...and you kill people in the water...that's a bit ironic"
Jacque; "You had news?"
Samantha: "indeed, they finally made a new medication strong enough to tackle your condition...you'll be able to feel emotions."
Jacque was silent and looked to the wall a bit
Samantha: "They say if you're well behaved and the medication works and shows improvement you could be released."
Jacque: "hm, 'shows improvement'? Do you know what that means? What they want is to see me plead for forgiveness. They want me to feel guilt, not happiness. They want me to feel despair for all the bad things i've done, not make me see and feel the bright shining rainbows that you people blow out of your asses"
Samantha: "I see....i'll let you think about it for a while" She said before leaving and closing the door

Emily's eyes opened suddenly at the sound of her cell door opening. A young man with blond hair dressed in a neat uniform entered the room, one hand holding an object. It took her a moment to realize she wasn't having the terrible dream anymore... but that meant that the sound was back. Oh god the sound hurt so terribly; suddenly an unearthly scream came from her pale, emaciated lips. Her arms flailed at the man but feel short because of the padded arm-cuffs that went around her wrists and into the wall behind her.
The young man winced at the sudden noise and got down on one knee to hold the object out in front of him. Emily's eyes fell on the object and her screaming stopped, soon replaced by whimpering. If she could just get it... the noise wouldn't be so loud... it wouldn't hurt her so much. Her "chained" arms fell to her sides as she let the man approach her and put the earmuffs on her ears. Of course they wouldn't block out any noise; then again, the static wasn't a real noise in the first place. Her wimpering stopped and she grew almost complacent, watching the young man go about unlocking her restraints.
"Now, are you going to behave yourself today, Emily?" the man asked, not unkindly. She looked up at him in confusion, not understanding a word he said. She held both of her thin arms up in to ask for help up; she clung to the man's arm with a deathly strong grip as the gentlemen took her to the place where she would eat. Along the way she babbled at him in a language that didn't exist.

He was thinking about killing, like normal. Suddenly a sliding sound rung through his tiny cell. "Hello there...do you have a chain on you?" He asked, his straightjacket fell off as the silent doctor had released him, the one who he'd scared so long ago. Issac stretched his fingers and laughed, he'd finally get to move his arms. Why was he released so suddenly though, it was time to eat. As the doctor left, he used his hands to eat everything, no matter how it tasted, he could move his arms. He even started eating the metal tray. "Eh-heh..." He laughed silently to himself and looked at his hands, they were a beautiful sight. Instead of screams coming from his cell today, his crazed laughter rang out clearly. "I can see my hands!" The child was loving every second of it.

Kira Itzumi I'm not crazy... Kira rolled over in her cell. She'd managed to get most of the blood off of herself but there was still some on her skirt. She could hear someone yelling happily down the hallway and someone singing even further down. She just wasn't in the mood for anything, or anyone. So when the man came baring her tray of food, she sneered. She swung her legs off the bed and sat up as he placed it beside her. As he turned his back and made to walk out she picked up the bowl and threw it at his head. It smashed into a thousand pieces. She glared and sneered again then flung her feet back up onto the bed and rolled over to face the wall. She heard the door creak shut and the the lock click. ...I'm just special

the chain was cold. She looked up slowly at the stranger in the mirror, realizing it was too late. He face had already been stolen, her identity. Thats....me. she stood up slowly, droping her stuffed frog. She heard something click open. And saw a dark faceless figure in the mirror. She stole a glance behind her, there was nothing but the peeling hunter green paint. She turned around quickly, confused. ...when the fright takes the wind from your lungs....Crisels eyes shot open, and struggled to catch her breath. She lay there panting for a long moment befor realizing where she was. She looked down at the straps that bound her to the white jacket. She frowned. She remembered now. Nomane had killed so someone. Hot tears began to roll down her cheeks. Im sorry...you probably had a family.... And I took you away from them...all because I let her take over... I'm not strong enough yet, I'm sorry.... she knew she was talking to air, and that his spirit would rather be somewhere else important, but she felt the need to apologise for Nomanes selfishness.

 † Christopher † Room 320
Harry led Christopher into the cafeteria where those were "polite" enough were allowed to eat together. Christopher immediately went to his usual space in the corner where he could be well enough away from everyone. Upon pulling his chair out, though, something inside him scolded his action. A slight moment of hesitation was quickly followed by him moving to a table closer to the entrance of the cafeteria, where other residents would be more likely to sit with him. Harry followed, a somewhat impressed look on his face.
"Why, Christopher, you're sacrificing your seat by the window? And you're even choosing to sit closer to everyone else? I'm impressed. What's this all about? You've been acting strange lately..." Harry finished with a somewhat suspicious look as he sat down across from Christopher.
Christopher pulled his chair out slowly, his face was covered in bewilderment. His movements were slow and careful as though even he were unsure of what he was doing.
"Honestly...I don't know what's wrong, Harry..." he said as he finally sat in his seat. "I just...feel like connecting more...Perhaps I'm trying to better myself for some reason...?"
A big grin spread across the doctor's face.
"You may not see it, Christopher, but I have high hopes that this is the beginning of a beautiful future for you. How about I go get your breakfast? This is very exciting Christopher!" he said, taking off towards the food line barely containing his excitement.
Christopher watched him leave, then let out a deep sigh. He pinched the bridge of his nose at the corner of his eyes. What was he missing? This kind of behavior was definitely unlike him.
There's a reason for all of this...but what? Christopher thought.
Suddenly, the entire cafeteria shook. Random items all over the room fell over, loud clanging echoing out of the kitchen area. Christopher immediately thought earthquake and dove under his table. As soon as he did this, however, the seismic activity stopped. A few panicked breaths later, the boy cautiously peeked out from under his table.
The entire room was as it had been. No one showed any signs of having witnessed what he had. They all continued with whatever they had been doing. Casual conversations. Frail residents making their way to their tables. Nothing had changed. No one looked panicked or anything. Even the items that had supposedly fell were back in their places. Shakily, the young man climbed back into his chair placing his head in his hands.
What...What's going on...? he thought, the desperate feeling of needing answers returning as his heartbeat attempted to resume its normal rhythm. (You may choose to have your character react to the "earthquake" or not. Just make sure that only your characters react to it. No NPCs should be included in reacting to the "earthquake".)
