X Dark Serge X And myself, good game d00d XD... I need to rethink this through Your lead is a much better revenge killer than anything, I would just switch around what you already have. Although I didn't really see what your middle poke could do.

In an ideal world it should have outspeed yours... being mine timid and with higher speed base, not sure just what happened there, since yours was not scarfed... but not going to work around it, meaningless at this point

Regardless, unless you could have OHKO'd him, he was holding a salac.

No worries, I could have, expert belt and super effective move, I guess that would have come as a clean hit seeing of which pokémon we´re talking about and his not really amazing defenses... Either way, yeah, I guess speed ties are not favoriting me at all, I mean, last night I battled Kyrenx... and it was fun, yes, though I still don´t understand what happened in the speed ties, we both had a few "WTH".

Not that I am trying stir a debate, but I was just curious. I was looking over the little cup list and saw that wynaut was considered both uber and legal in smogon's tier list.
I was wondering, with revenge koing to be the only counter measure to use against it, is it allowed to be used in this tournament?

Mirror coat would be useless, or like a physical attacking ghost type.

Mirror coat would be useless, or like a physical attacking ghost type. I would normally agree with this as well, but because of its ability shadow tag, it almost guarantees that once brought out especially against poke without being able to suitably counter it, it cannot be switched out. Hence why its evolution form has been banned to the uber tier. If its higher evolution form was banned from normal play because its ability, why isn't wynaut? Looking over smogon, I assume the reason why it considers it allowed in standard play while in another part of the website saying its uber, because they haven't gone through the process of updating their articles, which most like mostly how time consuming it would be. Though I am not suggesting that we follow smogon's rules to clear extent but I thought it was something to consider, since I don't really want to breed an entire team with each member having to have a dark/ghost move so they won't have to worry about one poke, which i think is ludacris to do.

Can you turn ignore shadow tag? I know baton pass can. if so that gives you a few options to be able to get out a counter, as well as the shed shell. I'm sure if little cup was part of a bigger metagame then it would be more common to have a wynaut counter. I only realized this halfway through typing this, wynaut in little cup can only have 3 moves, one of which is useless.

I only realized this halfway through typing this, wynaut in little cup can only have 3 moves, one of which is useless. How can you even make any argument concerning its move pool when wobbuffet has the same and is still consider uber? The only difference between the 2 are their stats, which I might add, wynaut's hp still is somewhat great comparable to the rest of the other pokes in the little cup tier. The combination of its ability shadow tag + encore (to force your opponent to use a guaranteed move) + (your choice of counter or mirror coat) especially when predicting well, can be very devastating to team. Throw charm or safe guard on top of that and you have yourself an almost guaranteed set up for the next the switch whether you are predicting your opponent to switch or not. As I mentioned before, does it sound fair that I have to provide all my pokes some sort of counter measure just to prepare for one poke through out the entire metagame? Debates like this similar problems like this have lead to the pushing of such pokes like salamance, garchomp and latias into the uber tier. Such pokemon should not be allowed to battle in standard tiers unless there are proper ways to counter them. Since he doesn't have a counter per say because of its ability, I would suggest to ban it from normal play. Edit: Sorry Kyrenx for hijacking your thread for the tournament. I'll have my team ready to fight hopefully soon. Just thought I bring up a concern about our little cup metagame. razz

I guess I forgot to put Wynaut on the banned Pokemon list on the first page, but if it makes you feel any better, I did exclude it from the "Eligible Pokemon" list purposely. I feel Wynaut shouldn't be used in this tournament based solely on the fact that we're running 3v3 and as such would offer too great of an advantage, but otherwise it is easily revenge killed (or straight up KO'd if predicted right) and can be easily countered by Houndour of all things. Many apologies to everyone for this mistake.
