Șhinji Єxcalibur Health: Perfect
Location: Chorral - Grey Mare Inn to Chorral - Stable
Mood: Worried XXX Shinji waited silently till the others left for the blacksmith. He didn’t acknowledge Elyia’s statement, nor did he intend to; for now. As the others left Shinji opened his eyes and stood. He walked within inches of Eliya and began to speak. “What is wrong with you?” He asked softly. He knew that something was wrong, he just wasn’t sure what it was. His eyes where filled with concern as he continued. “Your acting different, your talking different…” He said with a frown, then backed away. “Your probably wondering why I care, well I’ll tell you.” He said as he motioned to the door. “I’m most likely the youngest member of this group, but I am a man. I can’t help but feel guilty if one of you die on this quest.” He said awkwardly looking out of the window.
XXX “I guess I might be worrying for nothing, but still. I can’t have you like this in battle. I need you to have your focus. Now let’s go…” He said walking towards the door, He opened it and walked outside. ’Let’s hope that got to her…’ He thought as he made his way to the stable.

Eliya ~ Eliya was mildly unnerved when after the other's left, Shinji stepped extremely close and asked her what was wrong. Her eyes narrowed and she stepped back a step as he continued to speak. Since when did he know her so well? They'd just met the night before. Who did he think he was? A man? So what? Women could do just about anything men could do, and there were some things they could do that men couldn't! Eliya's eyes flashed and the overwhelming urge to put the human male in his place was difficult to suppress.
Eliya remained inside for a moment after Shinji exited. Granted the male mage probably meant well, but unfortunately for him, he and Eliya did not have enough of a relationship for her to care. He'd insulted her in more ways then one, but instead of calling him on it she'd let it go... for now. Shaking her head and grumbling to herself, Eliya grabbed her pack off the table and exited the Inn.
It didn't take long to saddle the horses and so they sat in silence for near an hour as they waited for Emane and Mora to return. Eliya barely glanced at Shinji the entire time, and instead devoted her attention vigorously to the bo ok in her lap.

"Of course not." Mora replied, standing and making her way out of the room. Until then she had been sitting patiently. That was something she was good at. One had to have good patience in her profession as a sort of healer scout. Before she exited the room completely, she turned back and addressed Emane, "I'll go wait at the stables with the others." then she shut the door behind her and exited the Blacksmith. She made her way out of the city gates and to the Stables quickly, fixing her hair as she went to be sure it would be out of her eyes during the mission. She couldn't afford to have her hair mess up her aim when her companions needed her.
Upon approaching the stables, Mora noticed Eliya and Shinji sitting beside one another. She sort of got the impression that something awkward had happened by Eliya's over-studious attitude. Hadn't she already read that book? Mora didn't know, and figured it was still because of what happened amongst the party when Emane showed up. Hopefully they would get over it. Mora walked closer, ignoring the awkwardness, and handed the bag of coin to the pale Redguard. "Inside is a receipt of what was spent. It will be paid in full after we're done here," she informed him seriously. She didn't wait for his reply, instead she walked over to where the horses were kept to claim her horse and get a stable hand to help her saddle the paint. It was done quickly, and soon Mora joined Eliya and Shinji. She was as quiet as they were, staring off into the distance and watching the wildlife with an alertness that only a Bosmer could achieve.

Emane Anarion Health: Perfect
Location: Chorral - Stables
Mood: Ready for Anything xxEmane slowly but surely pulled off the clothes on her back and latched on the leather armor. While tying the many strings and buckles that held her armor in place her mind wandered off to the people she would be running with. Eliya the beautiful redhead seemed like a serious sort but would break down once you got on her good side. Shinji the hooded redguard looked to be quite young with not much experience in hardships. Then there was the Bosmer Mora. Emane still did not know what to think of the elf. She was hard to read and was always patient with that slight dirty look she would give at times. Even though the group had obviously not warmed up to her yet Emane looked forward to the journey with them.
xxAfter strapping on the sword around her waist Emane walked out the door of the Blacksmiths and down towards the main gate heading towards the stables. While walking she double checked to make sure all of her things were with her. By the time she had finished seeing all of her possessions were neatly placed she looked up to see the main gate in front of her with it's usual guard at the side. Once she was granted access to the outside she walked towards the stables and made out the group. Eliya was furiously studying her book, Shinji just looking dumb, and Mora of course was silent and studying the wild. As she entered the stables her eye's searched the many horses looking for her own. As her eye's danced along all the horses they finally rested on what could only be hers. It was easy to spot out the Chestnut horse with black manes. Although there may Chestnuts around it was more rare to find one with a deep black mane. Emane walked past the others to claim her horse. As she neared the horse recognized her and as usual approached her. Unlike other owners and horses, Emane shared a bond with Omni. They had been through much together. The scars on Omni's legs, breast, and stifles were examples of that. She did not ask for help when she placed the saddle on the horses back. Before long Emane finished preping Omni and pulled up onto his back trotting over to the party.

Eliya ~ After what seemed like forever, Mora and Emane finished their errands and rejoined Shinji and Eliya. The four mercenaries mounted their horses and then began their journey to Hrotanda Vale. They followed the path from Chorrel North, and then cut East to the Aleyid Ruin. The journey in itself took less than an hour and quickly they arrived. The four dismounted their horses and tethered them a safe distance away from the ruin, where a handful of bandits were visibly guarding the ancient ruin.
"Okay," Eliya said as she finished tying her horse to a tree. "Any strategy before we go in? I would think that we all have different specialties. Obviously Mora can quickly take out a couple with her bow, and if I can sneak up on them I should be able to do the same. " The sunlight reflected off her red hair as she pulled it back into a high ponytail. "We should try to take out the six guarding the outside of the ruin before they can warn the others inside......which means we should do our best to all position ourselves and then attack simultaneously." She looked at each of the other three. "Or does someone have a better idea?" Internally Eliya was thinking that the only other good idea would be to use someone as bait to lead the bandits towards them so the others could ambush...but that was a bit more risky.

Șhinji Єxcalibur Health: Perfect
Location: Woods
Mood: Ready XXX Shinji remained silent during the entire hour while they waited for the others to come back. He didn’t know what happened to him in the inn. He somehow managed to screw up a perfectly un-biased statement and turned into a freak statement. ‘Great going…’ He thought as the hour slowly dragged on. It seemed like there would be no end to the silence when Mora appeared. She kindly gave him back what was left of his money and he nodded his thanks to the woman. He watched silently as she left to attend to the final preparations of her horse. As she returned at sat down, Shinji sighed. ‘This could take awhile…’ He thought as he waited a little longer for Emane. She came in only a few minutes after Mora did. She quickly went to her horse and saddled it. Before she made it back, though, Shinji was already on his black steed. He’d ridden it only once before, but he was an expert rider, losing his first horse to a stray arrow. He had no time to reminisce now, because they where soon on their way…
XXX Shinji rode silently, yet skillfully, keeping his head low and his eyes high. He was watching every movement of the forest as though he where a thief. The others may have thought it strange, but Shinji had his reasons. ‘Let’s end this soon…’ Shinji thought as they continued on in silence. They traveled along for a few more minutes before stopping and dismounting.
XXX Shinji followed suit. He dismounted and tied his horse to a tree. Then, to the surprise of everyone in the party, Shinji pulled off his robe, revealing his leather vest and leggings. He stuffed his tunic into one of the saddle bags and pulled his staff off of his back. He was planning on using only his sword and battle hammer for this particular quest. He laid it against the tree and turned to walk to the others. Shinji’s strides where straighter and more dignified. His leather boots made hardly a sound in the grass as he made his way to the others. He ruffled his hair once before coming into full view of the group. ‘Let’s hope I don’t give the wrong impression…’ He thought as he stepped out of the shadows. He knelt down just as Eliya set out a plan. ‘Well thought out…’ He thought quietly as he glanced towards the mouth of the cave. He shot a glance up towards the sun. ‘Good it’s behind us…’ Shinji thought with a wicked smile. “That should do, but Eliya, Emane and myself are going with you… The sun is behind us, so if we can get behind the bandits I can signal Mora with my sword…” Shinji said standing upright and withdrawing his sword, he twirled it around a few times to loosen his tightened muscles around his left arm before catching the flat end of the blade in his right and facing the sun. The blade shone a bright yellow in the light. “This way everyone is sure of when to attack…” Shinji said twirling his blade low and returning it to it’s sheath mid twirl. He turned around and immediately knew they where doubting him. “I may be a Mage, but I am from Backwater Country, I can take care of myself, no worries...” He said reassuring any doubts about his woodland or fighting abilities. ‘Master, I pray everything you’ve taught me stays with me…’ Shinji thought as he looked over the faces of his party members. “Let’s do this…” He said in a hushed whisper that was full of determination.
XXX What ever happened to Shinji during the long silence, none of the party would ever know. For some reason, the silence worked in his favor and hopefully helped him gain back some of his already dwindling reputation. It will take everything Shinji knows to keep himself steady in this fight. He’d never had to use magic to kill anyone, yet. He didn’t plan on having to, but sometimes things change. Let’s hope this new attitude Shinji brought with him is enough to keep him standing with this is all over with…

Emane Anarion Health: Perfect
Location: Near Hrotanda Vale
Mood: Ready for Anything xxWhen they came to a stop Emane's light foot hit the ground as she came off the Chestnut. She scratched her head as she led the horse to the tree not bothering to tie him up. She knew that he wouldn't run away unless his life was in danger. Which he had the right to do. She saw it not right to tie up a horse and leave it to it's death is the event came. She walked up to the others and listened to Eliya's plan. As the silence came Emane figured that judging by the character of elf that there was more she would have liked to say but you can't always voice out your opinions when you're with people you don't know to well. As Shinji took off his robe it did not give off a great care from Emane. She could care less if he used his robe in battle or not. As he voiced his opinions Emane was working out in her head another plan.
xx"Do not get to carried away. We should let everyone say what they feel before we run off into battle. I personally believe that someone playing as bait would be better. It would also guarantee that all of the bandits come out and that we are not just killing some of them." As she spoke her eye's flickered back over to Eliya who Emane had figured had something alike in mind. Personally she liked more risk on the job. It spiced things up quite nicely. "I vote Shinji as the bait. He feels that he is quite capable of heavy responsibilities so why not let him show what he is really made of?" She spoke as her eye's mocked his determination. There was nothing wrong with him believing he could handle things himself but thinking that someone like himself was capable of directing a whole party of fighters was another.
[Duo: Make sure in your posts you don't say the way other people take to the things your character does. Everyone has their own opinion and reacts differently.]

Mora tied her horse to the tree with a loose slip-knot which was really only a formality. If the beast really wanted to, it would just pull on the part of the rope that would untie it. It would probably do so as soon as it thought no one was watching. Not only was it a lazy horse, but it was also a smart one, and it would do anything for food. That was why Mora wasn't a big fan of riding. He long elven legs could take her anywhere and the only mount she had was constantly trying her patience. The only way the others could possibly decipher her disregard for the horse was the way she went about it coolly. She didn't talk to it, she didn't pet it, and she hardly looked at it. She wasn't cruel - not really - just uncaring.
She walked over to the party, giving Shinji a sidelong glance as he changed into more battle-ready clothing. She wondered what he would be doing with those long robes. They seemed rather restricting. That answered it, and Mora gave him a slight nod of approval. Unfortunately for him, though, the Emane was more than ready to take advantage of his sudden confidence. It seemed like she wanted to go for the more risky tactic of luring the bandits out, and possibly luring out all the rest or at least alerting them to their presence. Mora didn't like that very much since she tended to be a more cautious person. Her lips formed a disapproving line.
"I much prefer the idea of us going into various hiding places and picking off the watchers silently as the opportunity arises. I don't like the possibility of all the people inside being more alert than they have to be," she told them. She had a feeling, however, that they wouldn't listen. Emane seemed keen on the idea of using Shinji as bait and Shinji would probably feel that his manliness would be offended if he refused to be bait now.

 Eliya ~
Eliya listened as the others voiced their ideas and opinions. Shinji seemed intent on him and Emane going with Eliya and then signaling Mora.... but the mage assassin was less than sure of his brimming confidence. What if he and Emane were not stealthy enough? Those two seemed like more straight on fighters than stealthy type....She allowed the doubt to show on her face as he spoke.
When Emane spoke, she vocalized another idea that Eliya had thought....and the redhead found herself actually contemplating the idea. The problem however with having everyone come out of the compound was that then the four mercenaries would be vastly outnumbered. As it was, the four of them could take down the six guarding the entrance, but their odds would quickly diminish with the multiplication of targets. Simply put it was extremely risky.
Eliya was about to raise her hand and interject, when she noticed Mora's dissaproving facial expression. She would wait to hear what Mora had to say. Mora had shown thus far in conversation that she had good wits about her. Eliya nodded approvingly as the Bosmer finished speaking.
"I agree with Mora. To be quite frank, if all them come rushing out of the ruin and we don't take them down fast enough we will quickly find ourselves vastly outnumbered. It's extremely risky and probably not the best advantage for only four people. I think our best bet is to get lined up into position and then attack. Shinji can give the signal. Though.... .. I'm not sure if I want you and Emane to go with me Shinji."
Eliya looked into the pale blue eyes of the human and then the green eyes of the female human in turn. "You two don't strike me as very stealth like, correct me if I'm wrong. Not to mention a circular formation would be ideal to keep any from escaping or going for help. "

"And that," Zel ended, reaching for another piece of meat from the campfire with his chopsticks, pausing for a bit of dramatic emphasis, "Was when I bought the horse a prostitute." The whole lot of them erupted in laughter. One in particular, a Khajiit, placed a hard, strong hand on Zel's back, slapping it a few times in a gesture that seemed brotherly to him, but nearly had Zel drop to the floor and let his little iron bowl of rice go flying. "I love this guy." the Khajiit said in between laughs, his voice bearing a thick accent. Humor had been, and still was, Zel's surest way of acquiring the bandits' favor. He had infiltrated the gang four days ago, and within that time three of the bandits had gone missing. At this point they were giving the matter little thought, suspecting it was more or less likely a traveling guard was the killer, but was really only a matter of time before they would suspect him. The cave was a good way away from the roads anyway, and though most warnings against off-road were laxed since the Oblivion gates closed, anyone on a horse tended to stick to the roads anyway out of convenience. A horse that trips on a mountain was typically more hazardous to the rider than to the horse.
Zel had never been the stealthiest person in the world, but his birthsign gave him quite the knack for assassinating anyone he caught alone. Sure, invoking the lover's kiss can get exhausting at times, but since he tended to use my magicka to finish off the job anyway, he had found the murders refreshingly easy. He would typically keep a hand pressed on the paralyzed victim's throat and just pour out the shock of their lives. Might not have been the best way to go, but it was better than having to burn the voicebox first to shut 'em up, and then having to deal with a flailing, grunting berserker spewing blood from his neck. Quite hard to believe one of your scouts just mysteriously disappeared if your battlemage's robe is draped in his blood.
Tonight he would pick another victim. He wanted it to be the Khajiit, but he would have to settle for whoever was most vulnerable. Zel had a reputation to maintain, after all.

Location: Woods
Mood: Ready XXX Shinji listened quietly as Emane and Mora spoke. Emane suggested using Shinji as bait, which he didn’t mind, but it would take a lot of calm moves that would be hard to conjure up at a time like this. Then, Mora, who, for some odd reason, always was the last one to speak, but had the best ideas. ‘Good for you, Mora…’ Shinji thought as she gave her idea. It was a good one, but before Shinji could express his delight in such an amazing feat, Eliya spoke, and did she ever lay all it out…
XXX She spoke, first, about Mora’s idea, agreeing that it would be best to surround them, or risk dieing by being outnumbered. Shinji knew that this idea was the only hope they had of winning. Then, Eliya said that she didn’t want Emane or Shinji to go along with her. Shinji knew her type and also knew that they rather travel alone, or in a pair with another of their same profession, if at all possible. He nodded quietly as Eliya finished, but he was sadly mistaken.
XXX It was then that Eliya laid out was the real reason for her not wanting anyone with her. It took Shinji everything he had not to lay into her, but he managed. He knelt back down before actually speaking. “There’s a lot more to me then you think…” He said looking at Eliya, ending that conversation before it could start. Shinji’s mind then came back to the problem at hand. For some reason, it always seemed like Shinji’s sense came after Mora spoke.
XXX ‘She has to know some magic…’ He thought as he spoke. “Fine, I do believe that this plan should work, though we need to know what we’re up against…” Shinji said looking at all three of his companions one at a time. “But, before we go we need to know what we’re up against.” Shinji stopped and looked at Mora. “This is where you come in.” He said pointing at the trees. Archers always where the best at climbing trees. “Since we’re close enough, yet still out of sight, we’ll need you to climb up and tell us what you see. I have a feeling that there’s more then just swords and brawn at play here…” Shinji said, his face darkening. “I feel magic, and a lot at that…” He said being totally serious, his facial expression had changed to almost stone as he spoke. He felt it as soon as they had gotten near the camp, but never ‘opened’ himself to it. If there was really another magic user there, Shinji knew that he or she would feel Shinji’s presence immediately. “We have little time, now…” He said ending his statement and standing. He walked over to a tree and pressed his back against it. It was not only cover, but if Mora needed, a quick boost to the tree tops. The game was on, the question was, are these four adventures ready to take on the odds…

Mood: Ambient xxAs Emane listened to Mora's idea and then Eliya agreeing she saw that she had already been outnumbered on her choice of the plan. No matter though she didn't blame those who believed her plan was to risky. Most of the time her plan was to risky. Besides she found it amusing to pick on the little Shinji who appeared to be so young. As Eliya spoke Emane nodded with every word. Eliya seemed to be the leader of the group now but that wouldn't stop Emane from doing exactly what she wanted. But she would do her best to control herself so she wouldn't put everyone else in danger.
xxEmane smiled as Eliya questioned her stealth. "I grew up a hunter who could hunt down a deer in the dead of night and the poor thing didn't even know I was there when it's end came. I believe I am more than stealthy enough but it is all up to you captain. Your words are my command." She said with a smug smile towards Eliya. She was not bragging or taunting her just merely stating the facts that may come useful in the future. Her eye's moved onto Shinji who was talking about magic now. She really had no idea what he was going on about. She wasn't a mage all she knew were a few illusion spells and that still wasn't enough for her to understand the ways of magic.

Zel tilted his head up from his food, acting more out of instinct than anything else. There was a spike of magic in the air. Close, too. Multiple spikes. Over time he had come to recognize the magical signatures of the other hedge magi, but this was foreign. Not evil, but definitely foreign. He wouldn't be surprised if these guests were from the Mage's Guild. Polus was a nice guy, but rarely one to trust such low-ranking members to a task as dangerous as this. Perhaps the good council-mage thought Zel dead. What he didn't understand was that these hedge magi were better mysticists than most would assume of a bandit. Unless he could create a diversion, their detect life wards would kick in soon enough. And boy, did Zel have a diversion.
"Hey guys." he said, leaning down over the campfire once he had finished his meal, shuffling to the side so the head mage's desk was in his field of vision. "Check this out." Zel breathed in, hard. Knowing his specialty lay in destruction, most of his "friends" bolted away from the young mage's field of vision. Perfect.
As he blew into the fire he used a little cantrip he had learned from an uncle of his to change the color of his flame, releasing a ball of emerald fire into an existing orange-red one. The resultant bolt was a beautiful, spiraling bolt of flame swirling and spewing sparks of all sorts of colors, both frequencies melding into one, the other, and everything in between, letting loose blue, yellow and violet sparks as well as the makeshift firecracker found its way square into the head mage's book collection, setting his entire desk ablaze.
Zel swore. Loud. Feigning surprise at having turned the head mage's pride and joy to spare firewood. A scream could be heard tearing through the cavern only seconds later, sounding more feminine than any woman Zel knew, when in fact the voice belonged to a large, Breton male who came storming into the room, his spells disturbed, his wards unpowered. "DEZRIIIIITH!" he said in a blood-curdling scream, since, like any good infiltrator, Zel had given the bandits a pseudonym to call him by. The name of one of his less-than-friendly ancestors. It seemed fitting.
For now, though, "Dezrith" was busy bolting through the caverns as all four hedge magi chased after him, tossing bolts of fire, thunder and frost at his racing form. His knowledge of the caverns, considering he had taken the first day here to get accustomed to his surroundings, combined with his acrobatics, made it easy for him to dodge almost all of them, especially since the magi weren't exactly the calmest of folks. The blow he did take was easily healed on the run.
Most of the non-magical bandits tended to like him more than any of the other, stuck-up magi, and as such, aside from simply watching the show and getting a good laugh, they would occasionally slip out a leg to trip one of his chasers. This had turned out better than Zel had expected. Not only had he disabled power to the life detection wards and had enough noise running through the corridors that the new arrivals would not be noticed by magical or non-magical detection alike, but now he had all four of the magical bandits on a leash. For as long as the bandit leader remained... doing what he was doing, since it came to Zel's mind that he had no idea what the man was up to, he was in control. Dealing with the magi separately from the rest would make everyone's life a lot easier, especially considering the rest of the bandits would still be completely unaware that Zel was a traitor until they saw the bodies of the hedge magi.
So, making a tumble into an open door in front of him, Zel made a run for the surface, four angry magic-wielders behind him, still tossing bolts of energy willy-nilly.

Eliya ~ [ooc- Duo - Shinji doesn't know that Eliya is an assassin, which is what I gathered you said that he knew her profession, please edit that.] Also duo and Chronic - umm what is this 'feeling' magic users? As far as the game goes I don't think that's part of it. This isn't starwars where you can sense others in the 'force' lol. Lets nix that from here on out.]
Eliya figured she had probably insulted Shinji and Emane by their expressions but she didn't really care. Perhaps they could indeed be stealthy, but based on assumptions they didn't strike her as the type so she didn't want them with her. Her bluntness obviously bothered Shinji but thankfully he stayed focused on the topic at hand, and Eman's smug smile...well it was just annoying. At Shinji's next words Eliya rolled her eyes. And then she just shook her head. They already knew what they were against.... six bandits guarding the entrance, and an unnamed number inside. Mora climbing a tree wasn't going to show them inside the ayleid ruin. The mage assassin was beginning to really wonder about Shinji's logic. He seemed to talk more then he actually thought.
At his words about 'feeling' a magic user, Eliya wanted to laugh, but the seriousness with which the battlemage expressed himself caused Eliya to cough instead. He what? Was this some special magical skill she had yet to discover or hear of? Shrugging Eliya checked herself to make sure she was prepared, giving Mora a look that said volumes. Her attention was abruptly diverted to the entrance of the ruin however as a figure came running out of it, four mage's behind him, shooting spells this way and that.
"For the love of --" Eliya had been about to say Sithis, but luckily caught herself in time. "So much for the plan guys," With a shimmer Eliya disappeared into thin air, heading off towards towards the ruin.

Mora could see the growing frustration Eliya was harboring toward the other two members of the party. It didn't help that the two seemed to make fun of her quickness to take leadership of the group. Mora was willing to let it happen, as so far her ideas seemed good enough and she didn't show the same recklessness that Shinji and Emane seemed to enjoy. This was something Mora knew she should keep out of for now. They were too close to battle to worry about such petty things. As long as they had a good battle plan and everyone stuck to it, they should come out alive. Hopefully. The look Eliya gave her almost made her smile in amusement, though. She understood the look and was used to giving the same when she had to deal with younger members of her family or of the Mage's Guild.
Mora opened her mouth to say something, but she abruptly cut herself off when she heard the smothered sounds of commotion that seemed to be coming from within the caves. As Eliya used her chameleon spell, Mora stood and ran lightly towards the new noises, traveling quietly. As she ran she pulled her iron bow from her back and notched an arrow. The door to the ruin quickly came into view, and the sight of several of the guards looking over in confusion. While their plan may have been ruined, this situation did seem like it was helping more than hurting the party. Either there was someone else already in there, or some monster somehow found a way in. The second could end in a bigger problem for them, but for now the enemy was looking away and they were prime targets.
Picking an target closest to her who would not be seen by the others, Mora inhaled deeply and quietly, pulled back the string of her bow, and loosed the arrow. It flew well and, since her target was immobile, hit where she was aiming. The only noise he made was a quiet gurgle as he clutched at the cascade of blood flowing out of his neck. His companions didn't seem to notice. One down, five to go.
