Pahana smiled as Lian landed, and giggled a bit as the wind from her landing ruffled her mane and tail a bit, making the feathers dance. "which Direction is it in?"

Lian nodded in the appropriate direction. "East, it's either a very small stream, or quite a walk. Do you think you'll be able to make it?" Lian had noticed that her new friend had been favoring her leg.

Pahana smiled at the others concern. "Well, as long as we don't walk too fast, it shouldn't be a problem. I've gotten worse scrapes then this before." She started in the direction that the other had indicating, knowing that Lian could very easily catch up.

Lian kept her steps short and slow, to keep pace with the smaller mare. She watched Pahana carefully, trying not to be too obvious. Though the Usida claimed that she would be fine, Lian couldn't help but fuss. She realized, logically, that Pahana was an adult, and could take care of herself, but it was too much in the Angeni's nature to worry over others to let logic dictate too much of her actions.
"Let me know if you need to rest or something," she insisted. "You took a pretty nasty tumble."

Pahana smiled, seeing the mares covert glances her direction. "It really wasn't that bad, compared to some of the things I've done. I've had stone bruises that have hurt worse then this. And that tree that I ran into, you should have seen me afterwards. It was a pine, and the bark was rough." She couldn't help but shudder at the memory. "That took me out for a while. But if I need a break, I will let you know." After all, she really did appreciate the mares concern.

Lian nodded slightly, trusting the little mare to do as she said she would. "Just so long as you're sure. You'll have to forgive me. I worry," she admitted, as if that much wasn't completely obvious already.

"well, as I see it, better to have someone worry about you, then not. The 'not's have a better chance of eating your or hurting you." She limped along, feeling a bit annoyed that it took so little effort for Lian to walk a distance. "what it would be like to have long legs." And she found herself pracing across a meadow, long legs beneath her and wings held mantled to her side, and she couldn't help but grin.

"I imagine it wouldn't be much different than having short legs, save for covering ground faster," Lian mused as she watched the smaller mare lose herself in her imagination again.

"yeah, but you could get to places faster with long legs. And with wings. You wouldn't be stuck bound to the ground, but free in the air." She giggled as she beat her wings, and ran across the sky, only to find herself back on earth when she stepped a little wrong. "Besides, I bet you can see farther."

"So I guess there are some advantages..." Though she'd still much rather be tall. That way, if she ever ran across a cougar, she might actually stand a chance.

"Oh good." Her foot really was starting to hurt her now. And she could use the rest. Not to mention, soaking it in the water which was almost always cold. "It will be nice to get there."
