Beloved Werewolf

AS though sensing the animosity from the class, Cricket looked up from her paper, the green glow that seemed to 'form' her figure dimming ever so slightly to more prominently display the skeleton beneath it, though the organic-rune-like shapes on the surface of her form seemed to glow brighter and the spare centipedes that glowed about the room seemed to rear themselves up, just a big larger while she narrowed her eyes, seeming to debate on a course of action.

From that, she looked to her piles, and then back up at the bickering students.

"No, rude would be calling you out for being no better then the slime ball your dangling off of like he's Jack Skellington himself." Her yellow eyes seemed to narrow down on both of them, a hint of complete disgust and rage dancing behind them. Class system her a**, demons should be on the bottom for being stuck up pricks. They thought they deserved everything and that should rightfully include a combat boot to the head.

That's when she heard what Barum had to say in regards to 'food'. "Excuse me? I'm food past my due date You want to talk about food? Maybe I should crack that smug face of yours open to see whats making you tick for lunch." She sighed and paused tsking as she glared at him, "I forgot, your kind doesn't have brains, would take up too much room for your pretty little skulls full of hot air about just how awesome you all are."

Screw the rules, and screw the teacher, if that smugged winged p***k opened his mouth again she was going to shut it with a chair to the face, and his pretty little play thing could eat a chair with him as far as she was concerned. If anything Yaya was smart to keep her remark quiet or chair would have already been hammered against her head.

He could take the snippy comments about himself, but for some reason the zombie's continued onslaught of Yaya's reputation made him snap. He hadn't taken his meds today, and while they were predominantly to staunch his visions, they also kept his mild insanity in check. This little upstart was about to get a can of whoop-arse on her hands if she didn't stop ******** with his 'pretty little pet'. Yaya was HIS friend, a thing he was unaccustomed to. Having someone to REALLY confide in. Sure, he'd been popular enough back home, and he hadn't run into any immediate problems here until now. For him, he hadn't even been acting arrogant, really. What the girl had gotten enraged over was a mildly subdued version of Braum's personality, but she was sure to get the entire racial slur if she kept going, and he'd have no problem clawing her eyes out and feeding them to the gators of the swamps. Let HER try and go find the damned things.

Standing up abruptly, he pushed Hadiyaya roughly down into her seat, standing in front of her and flaring his wings while a deep sound in his throat that was a mixture of a growl and a 'caw' rumbled softly.

"What EXACTLY is your issue? If I were acting arrogant and cruel, believe me when I say you would be FULLY AWARE of it, you little graveyard reject. Is it simply because I'm demon? I was not even SPEAKING to you, yet you decided to butt in on a conversation you were not included in. I was speaking to the Siren, not you, not the FearLeading Captain. I was not disrespectful to either one of them, I was simply educating a fellow avian that he had a different breeding avenue," he growled, clenching his fists so hard that they turned even whiter than usual. His pupils started to shrink, the first signs of pent up anger and disturbed thoughts that had been so far kept in check between Yaya's calming presence and his toxins.

"The only thing keeping me from harming you is I have the common decency not to hit women! I don't really give a Jack Damned about what you say in regards to my reputation. But don't you EVER insult her. She is twelve times the lady you will EVER hope to be, and not because she's Demon, but because she understands what MANNERS are. Surely they teach you those when you crawl out of the ground?" he snapped angrily, absolutely fuming.

His eye twitched as he felt the comings of a vision spurred by the adrenaline his anger had let loose, and he turned angrily with a definitively pissed off bird sound, rushing back to Yaya's side and discreetly holding her hand for dear life in a vicegrip. He couldn't take a swig of his toxins in front of all of them. He wouldn't. Wouldn't let them take advantage of such a weakness. He'd have to bite through it, whatever IT was today. Usually the visions were a myriad of horrible things either happening to people right now, or about to happen. It could be people of Halloweentown, or it could be from other places, sometimes even the human world. He didn't know and didn't care, he just prayed to Jack Almighty that he didn't cry out or feint.

Emily was concerned. Actually, wondering if Shehk was cause of the class, plus being late, plus everything else she was constantly worried about seemed to be rising up at once. Why were people treating this so casually, didn't they know the things that could happen?! Don't they know?! Why was the nurse letting this continue?! Why were people arguing like this but completely missing the point?! How many times?! How many times does she need to explain the Dire Consequences of Heedless Affection?! This was just too much worry and too little understand! She needed to do something! She needed to say something! She needed....to go to the bathroom. Clenching her eyes shut, she willed herself to hold it for a few minutes, and then...

"YOU."

Was she standing on a seat pointing a Braum? Yes. Yes, she was. "ARE YOU WEARING A PROTECTION CHARM?!"

If anyone noticed her finger shaking they likely thought is was either fear or rage. But she really, really did need to go.

"YOU MAY NOT MEAN TO, BUT PEOPLE CAN STILL GET PREGNANT FROM YOU ACTIONS. THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE BIRDS! THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE FEMALE! THEY JUST HAVE TO BE YOUNG! AFFECTIONATE! SWEATY! AND UNPROTECTED! AND THEN YOU HAVE BABIES! LOTS OF BABIES! OR GET DISEASES! HORRIBLE DISEASES! AND THEN YOU DROP OUT BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE BABIES OR YOUR PARTS START GROWING THINGS AND FALLING OFF."

Her eyes darkened a voice lowered, as did her pointing finger, "Do you want it to fall off?" There was an I can make it happen undertone in the witch's voice.

She paused and took another breath to start ranting again.

Then she realized what she had just said. Where she was standing. Pointing. Yelling. At other people. Oh Jack no, oh jack what was she doing...

"I...I...I'm so sorry! I....I have to go. Now. Ok. Bye. Now."

Were those tears in her eyes? Quite possibly.

She was Emily Device: delinquent, serial molester, cheater, dangerous drummer, tardy, berserker.

A tiny little giggle was stifled behind the press of curled fingers. It wasn't the kindest of comments, but amusing all the same. Granted, she wasn't about to make matters worse by laughing out loud, that would have been rude, and the marid was never that. Tactlessly honest, yes, but never intentionally rude.

"Dull, or perhaps bored.." Her voice trailed off, interrupted by the zombie's irate ranting at them. Bright blues snapped towards the angry undead, wide and a little shocked that she was being so cruelly attacked. Dark lips parted in a small 'o' of surprise. Any words she could have thrown back died on her tongue, chased away by indignation.

She needn't say anything though. Pressed firmly into her seat, Yaya watched as the demon beside her rose up to her defense, ebony wings flaring to shield her from view of Samantha and her biting words. She'd known he'd be upset, but she hadn't fathomed just how much. He was shaking in his fury at the undead, pale hands going molten at his sides. She watched the line of his back in growing concern as she snapped at the other girl, and she could do little in that moment save place a comforting hand at the small of his back.

When he turned abruptly back to her she had scooted to the edge of her chair, and when he reached for her hand she gave it. Squeezing pale fingers tightly in her own dark grip as her free hand pet along his lower arm. He was really, really upset, and she knew what that could mean. A careful search of his face found the tell tale twitch of his eye, and she frowned in earnest, a deep concern tracing worried lines on her pretty face.

"You didn't have to." It was naive to say, she knew that, but she let roll of her tongue all the same. If her voice was a little more subdued then normal, well, only he'd notice it.

Of course if she'd hoped things would came down at that point, she'd been sorely mistaken. Not 10 seconds after boy had returned to her and another shrill voice was yelling at him. It was alarming, and tension sung through the marid as she finally stood, placing herself firmly before the already unstable bird.

"Your concerns are appreciated, but unneeded." Her voice was soft, but very firm, and then she noticed the glitter of tears on the young witch's face. Oh jack damnit.. "Don't cry.."

She squeezed Braum's hands all the tighter. Now what the hell were they supposed to do? Nurse cricket, a little help here!

She could have dropped dead again then and there at how foolish he was, he wasn't arrogant? He wasn't talking down to the monster chatting with Shehk, or all of them with his smart remark? Demons really must be full of hot air then. Rising up just as Barum did she tipped over her chair and took a step towards the demon, Jack-be-damned if she was afraid of some bird brained demons wingspan.

"Oh let's see lets step back about thirty seconds ago? 'Why don't you fly on home to mommy and daddy little fledgling?' Sound's like someone mocking someone else. 'Dying to watch a few exhibitionists go at it and show some technique?' Sure sounds like a p***k with an ego to me. So you wana make a case bout how that doesn't make you out to some hot headed p***k? Oh and lets not for forget about how." She paused for a moment to screw her face up into the most painfully bored look she could manage letting her voice drop to mock Barums own, "How dull of them to make up gossip, their lives must be boring I feel pity for them!' Ah yes that's right more condescending words from a demon."

Stepping closer again she continued her storm of words her eyes narrowed like two yellow beams of fire aimed right at the winged demon. "Oh and not to mention calling ME food, I'd like to see you try and eat me, the moment your smug face got in arms reach I'd crush your pretty little jaw like I did to Tess during the battle of the bands." She really wasn't proud of that, she didn't know they had to fight each other and she did smash Tess' jaw rather hard. She would have to make some amends for that one day, but this demon was a different case. Smashing his jaw would be a pleasant way to spend the evening.

"Manners huh? Yes they told me about that, then someone suggested I should let Demon's and Vampires walk all over me because I was dead, I told that fellow to suck on a pumpkin Jack-be-damned if I would roll over for someone just because they were 'better' then me. So next time you make some smart remark about me being a snack or talk down to another student like you know better how about you shut up and have some manners?"

Taking another stride across the room she raised her boned fist ready to give Braum a punch clean between the eyes, he didn't hit girls did he? Well that would make this all the eas-

And then Emily spoke, with scorn like Sammy had never heard come from a Witch and with fear that made her ALMOST regret anytime she gave Shehk a hug. (Did that count as headless affection?) None the less it was a horrifying and halarious speech that stopped Sammy in her tracks fist clenched and ready to go. After a moment of stunned silence she turned back to Braum and slowly placed her fist knuckles down on the table. "Let me make one last thing clear, if you ever talk down to me again, or mock another student, let alone even think of saying something to the Fearleader captain, who has a name by the way; I will find you, and I will break your pretty little jaw so you can't do it again for weeks." With that said she turned storming back over to her chair righting it up with a slam and taking a seat.

Demon's sucked, Witches were loud, and Sammy was one prime example of how pissed off a zombie could get.

Sin had been quietly observing trying to memorize things about her fellow students for future reference. She had given Junko a small smile and almost motioned her over but then a commotion started. It was small at first a demon and an undead having words. Then it started to get heated, with the reaper stepping in and almost yelling. Sin tensed a bit in her seat and watched with narrowed eyes. She didn't know Braum or Yaya from Jack, but seeing demons being harassed never sat well with her. She finally whipped her head around and snapped at the whole lot of them.

"No WONDER we have this class, there's CLEARLY some uncontrolled PASSION that some of you can't handle!" She huffed and then turned her back to the whole lot of them crossing one leg over another and looking back at the professor with a frown. Really couldn't they just get their lecture over and done with and be dismissed?

"ENOUGH."

It seemed that Cricket had decided that her initial course-of-action for her class had been misguided, her voice, sounding unusually irate as she rose from her seat with a strange controlled mannerism. It was then that, for a ghost, she actually looked strangely alive, the glowing marks on her body starting to stir and actually move as she walked, slowly and deliberately down the aisles of her desks, the glowipedes seeming to writhe with a newfound vigor.

The ghost placed a hand down on Israfel's desk momentarily to retrieve one of her 'children' from it, which circled her wrist and then seemed to vanish in to it to slither about her body, taking roost somewhere around her neck (though her scarf would make that difficult to take note of).

"I will not be turning my classroom into a racial-war, nor will I have any of you turning it in to one for me." She looked sharply at the demon pair; "I do keep these.." she paused and lifted her arm, a pair of pincers from one of her centipedes almost tatooed across her wrist, "About for good cause. I listen. Do not think that I have not heard what was said between any of you." her sharp attention turned to Sammy, and then towards Shehk and Israfel.

"If any of you disrupt my class again.." there was another glance towards Emily (though at least her outburst had been on topic), though she trailed off, leaving the end of her promise unsaid. It left a sort of chill lingering in the air as she took her leave of the rowdy group and sat down at her desk, going through her two different piles of papers and seeming to deliberately grab a pair of them and setting them in a pile to one side.. alll by their lonesome, before taking a pumpkin from her little grouping of them and setting it on top of it.

She'd just made up her first parent-group.

Oh that poor pumpkin.

Siddie's mouth was rounded into a perfect little "o" as she watched the escalation of the argument. She couldn't believe it - was the demon trying to piss Sammy off on purpose? Starting a fight or something? Or was he just naturally a giant p***k? ... Actually, she thought she favored that last explanation. She wondered what his natural form looked like, outside of school. Ew.

She slumped down in her chair and covered her mouth with a hand to keep the little smile from showing, a smile that got wider when Emily stood up and let loose. She was really glad that rant wasn't directed at her - but from over here, it was funny!

She tore a bit of paper out of her notebook (deftly dodging the lazy snap it aimed at her fingers) and scribbled a note, then folded it and leaned way over to slide it onto Sammy's desk. In loopy purple pen, the note said:

"r u ok? don't get in trouble, k?"
PostPosted: Tue Nov 16, 2010 12:57 pm

Sammy remained rooted in her seat glaring blankly off into the wall just beside Cricket, she wasn't thinking of much at all except what she would like to do to Braum's face when Cricket finally spoke again. She flinched silghtly as she spoke, knowing full well she was one of the ones the rant was directed at. None the less nothing happened besides a very strong lingering threat and the arrival of a note on her desk. Grabbing a sheet of paper and ripping a corner off of it before flicking it back to the shadow girl.

In slightly scribbled green ink (probably from pent up rage) the note said:

'Hate demons, will see u @ practice PS: want 2 write song bout demons?'

Another note slid onto Sammy's desk a few moments later:

"k, let's do it! it'll b funny (:"

Siddie then sat back in her desk, putting on her I'm Paying Attention face. Wouldn't do to get in trouble over the notes, not after the far-too-ominous warning from Cricket.

Braum fumed. He hadn't done anything WRONG. He'd teased the Siren, yes, but that was just a little bit of bird humor. He couldn't help that he always delivered his sentences with a biting undertone of sarcasam. That was simply how his cadence WORKED. Huddling with Yaya, he stared stormily out the window, refusing to acknowledge any of the rest of the group or the instructor for the time being. Not only had he been publicly accused of being a racial b*****d, which he was of course but it hadn't been his intent to turn this into a mud-slinging battle, but the migrane that was quickly approaching did nothing to lift his spirits. His hand twitched at the want of the toxins. So close, yet so far. He'd never be able to drink them in public now. He'd have to watch his back for fear that the entire student body was going to jump him just for the hell of it, and for that he'd need to be completely lucid at all times. While they stopped the visions, the neon colored liquid at his side also made him a little loopy for a short time. The muscles in his shoulders twitched with frustration and anxiety, and he ceased to touch Yaya at all.

They wanted him to be a cruel and TRULY beastly demon? Fine. He could be from now on. Damn being polite anymore, because nobody would care if his past behavior had been nothing but polite towards females, and sarcastically jovial towards males. They'd made their decisions about him simply because he was a demon, and had chosen to confide and befriend ANOTHER demon as opposed to being buddy buddy with the whole goddamned FearLeading squad. He grit his teeth though, not hearing anything the zombie girl said, and sucked in a small but sharp breath as he did his best to focus out the window. His pupils were fully dialated, and a little glassy, as his vision switched from the current situation to one not of this world.

Carnage. Pain. Screaming. Normally things that the raum enjoyed, but in this case, it just made him highly uncomfortable and disoriented. It was simply what seemed to be a neverending stream of horrific images, all of them disjointed and and more graphic than the next. He had to bite his tounge not to scream out or faint from it, and when his eyes finally snapped back to reality, he looked over at Yaya with mild panic in his eyes and blood in his mouth. Not enough to alarm other students or let them know what had transpired, but enough to let the marid know he was thoroughly disturbed for the day and no matter his resolve to stay on his toes around his classmates from now on, he would NEED to go to their dorms and drug himself into a stupor. Even those that liked war, pain, and gore got pushed a little too far sometimes.

His eyes flitted nervously towards the papers Cricket had slammed down apart from the others, placing a pumpkin on top. Oh Jack, could she NOT move any faster so he could bolt out of here, his marid in tow, and drink himself beyond recognition?

Sin watched Cricket quietly noticing the pumpkins and the paired papers and then licked her lips nervously. Oh dear...she had a sinking suspicion that this class wasn't just going to be a lecture. She glanced at Braum watching him for a long moment before looking back at the others. Where was she supposed to stand on the frightening invisible line? She was a demon, she felt bad for Braum, she disliked the way they had all jumped to think that any demon had to be a vain self serving b*****d. Yet...she was friends now with monsters, and she had run for student council promising to listen to everyone. Granted she hadn't won, but did that invalidate her promise? Ontop of all of it was was on the Fearleading squad now...and so where Shehk and Naja went, so too seemed to go her allegiance.

She decided to do the most political thing possible...and kept her mouth shut. She focused instead on Cricket and prayed that their next assignment would be mostly painless. Oh Please...

"No worries," Coralie waved absently as Julian moved off to talk to, Tahki was it? Yes, she thought that was right, though she was pretty bad with names. Watching him go, however, she quirked a brow. Hm. Those two must have become...friends. She smiled a little into the palm her chin was propped in. Interesting.

She let her eyes wander instead to, well, the intensely drama-filled room. There was everything from supposed scandal to angry outbursts. It was like going to a free show. She knew this class was going to be interesting. Then nurse Cricket snapped and Coralie mentally imagined her with little spouts of steam coming out of her ears. She passed Morton a sideways glance, whispering with a lop sided smile, "Get a load of that."

"IN'PROPRIATE! This class is full o' hoodlems!" Complained Wilfred vocally. He didn't seem to be as amused as Coralie by the display. Of course, he hadn't even wanted her to come into this class in the first place. It was no surprise the students'...issues bothered him.

Tahki beamed when Julian came toward her but the happy little smile was quickly wiped away. Tension. So much tension was leaking about the class room and it made the gryphons feathers ruffle. A bad taste was left in her mouth from both parties.

Tahki made a quick mental note to keep her mouth shut about anything that had just gone on.

"Hey Julian," She gave him a smile, small then the first, but just as warm. Her cheeks were slightly flushed pink from all the tension that had just gone on but the gryphon wasn't about to add any input. No one would have cared what a lone gryphon had to say any ways.

Her eyes wandered over to Amrita for a second to see how her best undead friend was doing before they wandered over to her best demon friend. A frown formed. Tahki hoped Amrita and Julian would get along.
