((+2 since it's a C Rank skill and you're a trainee, -1 since I'm a novice, -1 since I'm fire. So it evens out to the normal posts))
Liliana faced Andrew. "Pool your fire like preparing for a fire stream. Then, when you thrust forward to strike, make the fire explode instead of shoot." The fire make a weak copy of what to do without the actual energy to do it. "I work with my fire instead of forcing it to my will. So I let mine play for a minute or two before learning a new skill. If you let it know what it can and can't do, it'll respect your respect for it."

Never stopping until I'm the greatest there is..." 《《《《《《《《 =========== 》》》》》》》》 Drew let his arms fall to his side as he nodded and began to let his fire energy irradiate from his right hand. He had to warm up a bit first. Once he could feel the energy surging within his palm, he let the flames spark from his hand. Then, he clenched his hand into a fist, extinguishing the flames.
Now feeling ready, Drew allowed the fire to burn up in his hand again. He didn't fully understand what Liliana meant when she said to respect the fire, so Drew just did what he thought was necessary. Once his hand sparked with flames, however, they decided to die out immediately. Releasing a sigh, Drew got ready to try again.
This time, when the fire sparked around his hand, it stayed. Smiling, Drew looked around. He then punched his hand forward, away from the others, and the fire erupted and died out. If he used that on someone, like an enemy, it would do nothing but make them laugh at his fail.

Confused, Drew grabbed the book again and skimmed through. Still having no answers from the book, he sat it down and looked at Liliana. "The fire has an energy all its own. It comes from within you, since fire is a creation and destruction tool." The fire came to Liliana's hand again but this time leaped off and fell to the ground to play in some sparse grass. It consumed some of it but left the smallest and newest blades. "The reason you feel drained from using it is because it uses your life energy to empower itself to help you. If you just fling it around like you own it, it will fight you no matter what. The fire is its own being, in a sense. If you respect it like you would another person, it is more willing to help you." The flames in the grass leaped back into Liliana's hand. "My little friend here destroyed the old grass to give the new grass more of chance to prosper. Destruction and creation." The flame faded away on its own, without Liliana forcing it away as Andrew had done to earlier when he clenched his fist around it.

Destruction.... and Creation, hmm...?' he thought curiously. '... Respect...' Drew smiled as he now felt a drive to go again. Holding his palm upward, Drew allowed fire to spark up there and smiled at it. "What's up, little guy!" Drew began speaking to the fire with a wide smile on his face. "You are awesome, and you should know I respect you." Drew then looked over to Liliana for approval, but the fire then died out.
